Chapter 4: (1/8)
The announcer quickly announced, "The winner for this match is Kain Almos." The arena master then ran into the arena to revive Oletha using [Resurrection].
Starting now, Oletha will not be able to cast any spell for a month because her mana can not regenerate due to being killed. This is why most magic caster contenders choose to surrender if it comes to a point that they know they will lose. Because if they get killed, even after being revived, their mana pool will not regenerate for six hundred seventy two hours.
The audiences were still surprised about how quickly the ‘victory key’ for Sinerin lost that match. Kain shook his head and said, "If you take this fight seriously, then I will have to put in more effort to win. You looked down on me thinking I am just a rookie Master Mage. How many times is this going to happen? I am sick of this! Announcer!"
Kain raised his right hand up and called out loud for the announcer. The announcer casted [Wind Walk] and flew toward him. contemporary romance
"Is everything okay?" The announcer asked.
"Mister announcer, please transfer my message to everyone in this arena."
"Oh, okay. But, no cursing."
"No worry."
"Kain, what is your message?"
"Dear weaklings, take this fight seriously or you will not have a chance to surrender."
The announcer used his Wind magic to transfer Kain's message to everyone in this arena. But, he slightly changed the messages to, "I have a message from Kain Almos to everyone. Dear Student Master Mages, please take this battle seriously to prevent accidents like this from happening again."
Ignoring Kain's reaction, the announcer flew back toward his quarter and announced, "Next round, we have Eoran Elian, twenty-seven years old, Master Fire Mage."
Eoran walked in and started chanting immediately regardless that the signal for the battle to start has not fired yet. This is actually legal. The break time was designed for new contenders to have a chance to cast their strongest spells as soon as the battle started. Surrounded by sixty-eight Skeleton Warriors and an Ice Gargoyle, Kain happily waited to see what Eoran can do.
Two minutes later, the signal for battle to start was fired.
Eoran casted [Flaming Phoenix], activated [Mana Infusion], then casted [Flaming Phoenix] again, to create two Flaming Phoenix that will chase down the targeted enemies and explode upon contact.
Similar to Flaming Familiar, but the Flaming Phoenix could fly and won’t be killed until making physical contact with the targeted enemy. If the targeted enemy goes invisible, then the Flaming Phoenix will fly upward. After that, it will patiently wait for the targeted enemy to appear again to resume its attack. However, there is a time limit. The Flaming Phoenix will fade away if not making contact with the targeted enemy for two minutes. Because Eoran activated [Mana Infusion] and put all of his mana into casted the second [Flaming Phoenix] spell. The second Flaming Phoenix will not fade away for six minutes. The first Flaming Phoenix chased after the Ice Gargoyle while the second one chased after Kain.
The Ice Gargoyle casted [Ice Barrier] on Kain and itself. Eoran laughed and said, "My Flaming Phoenix will destroy your pathetic Ice Barriers. Even if you manage to kill me, my Flaming Phoenix won't stop until your body explodes. Kain Almos, this will be guaranteed to kill you. Surrender now while you still... No, even if you surrender, my Flaming Phoenix will not halt." Eoran continued to laugh out loud.
The first Flaming Phoenix exploded upon making contact with the Ice Gargoyle, broke through the Ice Barrier, and created heavy injuries on it. The second Flaming Phoenix exploded, also broke through the Ice Barrier, and attempted to damage Kain. Kain faded away because it was his [Shadow Clone]. The Flaming Phoenix resurrected itself then searched around for the real Kain. As the Flaming Phoenix spotted Kain a hundred feet away, it flew toward him for another explosion. The sixty-eight Skeleton Warriors were just standing still because there was nothing they could do. Even if one of them sacrifices for Kain, the Flaming Phoenix will resurrect itself after that. Flaming Phoenix will not die until it explodes on the targeted enemy.
The Gargoyle casted [Freeze], to temporarily freeze the Phoenix for five seconds, allowing Kain to casted another [Shadow Clone]. The Phoenix exploded again upon making contact with Kain's Shadow Clone. Just like last time, the Phoenix resurrected itself and continued looking for the real Kain. Two seconds after his Shadow Clone faded away, the real Kain was revealed standing thirty feet away. The Flaming Phoenix flew toward as Eoran laughed out loud thinking there would be no way for Kain to dodge it.
The Ice Gargoyle activated [Mana Infusion], to use the last of its remaining mana to casted [Ice Prison]. The Flaming Phoenix was sealed inside a big ice cube. The Gargoyle died after that and was transported back to the realm where it came from.
[Ice Prison], level 15 Ice spell.
[Flaming Phoenix], level 25 Fire spell.
Any summoned or conjured creatures die will be revived upon returning to the realm where it comes from.
With the Flaming Phoenix locked inside the Ice Prison, Kain was now safe again. The sixty-eight Skeletons ran toward Kain and waited for his command. Kain turned, pointed his right index finger at Eoran, and said, "Chop him to pieces."
As the Skeleton Warriors were running toward Eoran, he screamed out loud, "I surrender! I surrender! Help! Please help!"
The announcer quickly announced, "Kain Almos has won this match. Let's take six minutes of break to wait for the-"
Down at the arena, Kain did not give orders for his Skeleton Warriors to stop. The announcer screamed out loud, "Kain, this match is over! Stop your Skeleton Warriors!"
Kain put on his [I don't give a F*ck] mode and refuses to command his Skeleton Warriors to stop. The arena master ran inside and casted [Summon Angel Warrior] then commanded the Angel Warrior to protect Eoran. Kain finally gave the order for his Skeletons to halt and remained silent when the arena master questioned him about if he wanted to be disqualified.
