Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon)

Chapter 728

Trevon put on a heavy down jacket and unzipped the tent. Only Terrell and Sophia were left inside.

When he walked out of the tent, Trevon zipped it up. The lights outside the tent were dim, and a few kerosene lamps were hanging there. Several fires were burning fiercely about 6 inches away. With this fire, no wild beasts would dare to approach the tent.

Smoke curled up from the chimney at the top of the tent, adding smoke to the empty snow mountain. From the screen, one could see that it was difficult for his breath to dissipate.

Even through the screen, Natalie could feel how cold Trevon was. She said, "It's too cold. Go inside."

Jasper, Ruby, Olivia, Rachel, and Caleb were all looking at the person on the screen.

"It's alright. I'll let Terrell stay with Sophia for a while longer. Sophia's mood improved after chatting with Terrell in the afternoon. I don't have any experience in this area, so Terrell is the most suitable." As he spoke, he sat by the fire. He had no intention of going in at all. He even threw a log into the fire. With a swish, the fire became even brighter. This way, it wouldn't be cold.

The call continued. Trevon turned the camera around to let everyone look at their surroundings. After turning around, they saw a black mass in front of them. It was a little scary. "Olivia, do you dare to come here?" Trevon asked.

Olivia was not that bold. She was afraid of the cold and wore long johns in winter. She said, "I think I'll pass."

Hearing this, Trevon laughed wantonly. It was already 30 minutes later when they finally ended the call. Afraid it would be too cold and dangerous for Trevon to be outside, Natalie urged him to stay in the tent. After hanging up, Caleb and Rachel stood up and sighed. "Oh, I hope Sophia can let go of the past and be happy when she returns."

Rachel supported Caleb. "Natalie, if Sophia thinks things through after she returns, you and Trevon should persuade her not to go back. Just let her stay home and find a job in our company."

Ruby also felt that it was too dangerous. The family could no longer afford for Sophia to faint again. So, she said, "Natalie, you can ask Sophia to follow me to the clothing company."

"That's a good idea. We'll talk about it when she comes back," Natalie said.

Olivia said, "I don't have to think about work. I still have a few years to go. I plan to study for a graduate school or something."

"Up to you. You'll be in charge of the base after graduation. I'm going to retire. If Ruby gets pregnant, I'll stay home and look after the child." As soon as Jasper said this, the entire family laughed. Ruby was a little shy. Her ears were slightly red. Jasper smiled and pinched the back of her neck. He was in a good mood.

Olivia could tell Ruby was shy. "Okay, I'll take over. I won't let it affect you from taking care of your grandchildren, right, Jasper?"

"I'm glad you know," Jasper said.

Olivia shrugged her shoulders and glanced at shy Ruby. Ruby was so shy. She wondered how Jasper usually interacted with her.

Time passed day by day. In the blink of an eye, three months had passed.

There was good news from Trevon. They said Sophia had already let go and was preparing to go home on May 1st. She could have come back in a few days, but after letting go of the knot in her heart, she was addicted to staying in that snow mountain. She insisted on staying for a few more days.

There were already 108 snowmen piled up around the tent. Sophia piled them up by herself.

However, Terrell also liked the snow mountain, so he set the time to May Day vacation. Natalie, who had received the message, spread the good news to her good friends and the others.

On May 1st, the sun was shining brightly. It was a good day to pick someone up.

The group had been waiting at the airport for a long time. They craned their necks to look inside. After a while, three people came out of the exit with backpacks on their shoulders. Sophia also had one on her shoulder. She rushed over excitedly when she saw her family standing at the door. The old Sophia was back. However, she had an additional sense of steadiness. She shouted at the top of her voice, "I'm back."

Natalie staggered from her daughter's hug. A broad hand held her waist and supported her. She looked up at the man she had not seen for a long time. Trevon had lost a lot of weight, but he had no sadness in his eyes. Everything was said without words. They looked at each other and smiled.

Olivia hugged Sophia and spun around in circles. She could tell that Sophia had recovered. "I missed you so much. I was afraid that you wouldn't be able to make it in time for Jasper and Ruby's wedding." "How is that possible? I've missed it once, and I won't miss it again. How can I not return when I have chosen the day for them? Am I right, Jasper?" Sophia said as she turned to Jasper.

Seeing that Sophia had recovered, Jasper smiled. He raised his hand and touched Sophia's head. Then, he looked at his father, who had lost weight. "Yes, it's good that you're back. Let's go home." Frank and Hackett walked to Trevon's side and punched him lightly. Then, they bumped fists with Terrell, who was following behind.

Frank glanced at Trevon and smiled. "You've lost weight."

Trevon smiled. "To look better. It's more attractive."

Hackett's shoulders trembled as he laughed. All the gloominess was over. All they could see was a bright future.

Natalie, Olivia, and Sophia were holding hands with each other. Sherri and Rose were on leave. Ava was holding Frank's hand.

When they arrived at the door, they met Liam, who was rushing over. He was panting heavily. He rested his hands on his legs and panted for a long time before standing up to speak. He almost ran out of breath. Everyone looked at him.

"I finally made it," he said.

Sophia glanced at his hair. The bald man finally had hair. "Are you here to catch dinner?"

"I've tried my best to rush over. Our professor is a procrastinator and delayed me for half an hour. I rushed over like I had a rocket stuffed in my butt." Liam began to defend himself, but he was telling the truth and not lying.

He thought of something else. "Oh, Harper said he can't come. His teacher wants to take attendance, and he can't slip out."

Edward was on a business trip today and would only rush back at night. Chris had surgery, and Leia happened to have gone overseas with Stella. "Alright, you need to catch your breath first. Aren't you afraid of dying?" Ruby walked over to help Liam catch his breath. She said, "Let's go." Liam hadn't even stopped panting yet. "I just arrived. And we're leaving again."

Frank looked at Hackett with a faint smile. "If you like this place, you can ask your father to accompany you. I'm going. See you tonight."

Trevon said, "We'll meet at Grand Manor at night."

After walking out of the airport, everyone parted ways.

And so the afternoon passed. Everyone gathered at Grand Manor at night to welcome Sophia and celebrate her rebirth. At the dining table, Sophia made a decision, which she made on the snow mountain. It was also advice from Terrell.

She raised her cup and stood up. First, she thanked everyone. Then, she said to them, "I've decided today. I've decided not to return to the team. I plan to work at a company after Jasper and Ruby get married."

Hearing this, Trevon finally heaved a sigh of relief. Sophia saw this subtle expression. Yes, she did not want to see her family worry about her anymore. Moreover, the knot in her heart had been resolved, but if she went to the battlefield again, she might remember it from time to time, as Terrell had said. It might even affect her missions.

Although she told her leader that she would return whenever she was summoned, she did not know that even if the war spread to Athana, Trevon would not let her have a chance to fight again.

No one said anything pretentious. They raised their cups to congratulate her. Whether it was Edward, Frank, Hackett, or Chris, they congratulated Sophia.

Natalie asked Sophia if she was going to the Wilson Group or the clothing company. Sophia's answer was unexpected. "I want to go to a kindergarten."

Trevon understood his daughter and agreed. "Do as you wish." As long as Sophia did not take the risk, he would think of a way to arrange another position for her.

On May 20th, the Blackwell family's villa was decorated in a luxurious palace style. The entrance of the courtyard was also decorated in gold. It was extremely luxurious. Just like what Jasper said, the compensation was doubled. It cost lots of money.

In the room, there were all kinds of luxurious, complicated designs. The rich colors, exquisite design, and all the details indicated this was a luxurious wedding.

Stella walked around the room and shook her head like a leader. She could not help but sigh. "This must cost lots of money. Ruby, Jasper is so generous to you."

The bridesmaids in the room were all wearing custom-made golden tube-top dresses. Olivia and Sophia's shoulder-length hair was draped over their shoulders. The ends of their hair were braided to braids by Trevon. Their hairstyles, clothes, and makeup were the same.

Anyone who saw them would know that they were twin sisters.

Olivia also felt Jasper had done a great job. She replied, "Of course. My brother has always wanted to give Ruby an unforgettable wedding." Moreover, this was a compensation. So, Jasper put in more effort. He finalized every design himself. He had prepared it attentively.

Ever since the accident, Sophia's personality had become much gentler. At this moment, she was staring at Ruby's makeup. She even carefully helped to hand the stylists jewelry. "Ruby, this hairstyle is so beautiful."

The wedding dress Ruby was wearing today was also designed by herself. However, the diamonds on the wedding dress were from Ava. The diamonds were sparkling under the light and difficult to ignore.

Just as Stella had said, they cost lots of money and were extremely luxurious.

The bridesmaids were Olivia, Sophia,

Nona, and Winnie, the assistant. Ruby had invited Paula before, but Paula refused and said she was happy to be invited but wouldn' come. There was an inferiority complex in Paula that made her feel

she would feel embarrassed at such

a luxurious wedding.

However, Paula still gave Ruby a doll that she had designed herself. It was a doll that the bride and the groom were kissing. She had done it very carefully, and Ruby had kept them.

"Alex didn't come?" Olivia glanced around and realized that Alex was missing.

Stella picked up a headdress and pinned it to her head. "Yes, she's working overtime. She'll be here when the wedding begins."

As she spoke, Sherri came over with a bowl of sweet soup. She pushed open the door and said with a smile, "Baby, drink this. You'll have a sweet life with Jasper in the future."

Seeing that Ruby wanted to take the bowl, Sherri said, "Open your mouth. You don't have to take it. Don't break your beautiful nails." Sherri scooped a bowl of sweet soup and fed it to her daughter.

Ruby took a sip from her mother's hand and thanked her with a smile. "Thank you, Mom."

Stella glanced at the red, tight dress Sherri was wearing. She teased, "You're dressed like a fairy today, making me feel like it's your second marriage."
