Chapter 724
Cyril was so excited that his hands were trembling. He sent a message to the group chat Freedom, saying, [Great news. Great news. Sophia is awake. Sophia is awake. Sophia is awake. I can't help repeating it.]
Harper replied immediately, [Are you serious?]
Liam was skeptical of this statement. After all, Sophia had been lying down for so long. So, he sent a message to ask, [Are you still in your dreams?]
Without waiting for Cyril to answer, Nona replied, [It's true. Sophia just woke up. We're all in the Wilson's residence.]
George added, [I'm here too.]
Liam replied, [Fuck, I'll be right there.]
Harper also replied, [I'm coming too.]
After that, George sent another message to his father. Now that Sophia was awake, everyone was in a state of excitement. They did not have the time to inform others one by one. George said in his message, [Dad, Sophia is awake.]
Then, he sent a message to Jasper, saying, [Jasper, Sophia is awake.]
After sending it, he sent another message to Chris, saying, [Uncle Chris, Sophia is awake.]
The last message was sent to Stella. [ Stella, Sophia is awake.]
After informing them, George put his phone away and hid it in his pocket.
Half an hour later, the Spaghetti Bolognese was ready. Natalie came up with a plate of Spaghetti. One could smell the fragrance from afar. Sophia wanted to raise her hand but realized that her father and siste were holding her hands.
Before Sophia woke up, the family had prepared a lot of food that she could eat after she woke up. This Spaghetti was also bought by Trevon personally. It was thin and easy to digest.
Trevon stood up. George had already brought over a cushion. He asked warmly, "Uncle Trevon, do you want another one?"
After helping Sophia sit up, Trevon realized one cushion was not enough. He instructed, "George, get me another one." "Oh, okay." Soon, George went to the small sofa to get a cushion and handed it to Trevon.
Nona and Cyril were still excitedly sharing this good news in the group chat. At this moment, everyone was smiling happily.
Sophia was helped to sit up. She had slept for too long. When she sat up, she felt a little dizzy. Trevon saw her close her eyes and thought that she had some sequelae. His eyes were filled with worry. "Are you feeling unwell? I will bring you to the base for a checkup after eating."
There were only monitoring devices in the room. There was nothing that could be used to check on her in detail.
"I'm fine. Maybe I'm hungry, or maybe I've slept for too long. I'm just a little dizzy. I'll be fine after eating." As soon as Sophia finished speaking, she met her father's worried gaze. Sophia quickly changed her words and smiled. "I'll go for a checkup after eating."
Olivia was still holding Sophia's hand. She was afraid that Sophia would fall asleep again if she let go. Sophia tugged her hand and said, "I won't run away."
Only then did she let go. No one in the room had any intention of leaving. It was as if they were afraid that Sophia, as she said, woke up because she was dying soon. They wanted to watch her eat the Spaghetti before leaving.
They all looked at her in a daze.
Trevon did not let Sophia eat it herself. He took the Spaghetti from Natalie's hand, picked up the fork, lowered his head, and carefully blew on it. He fed it to Sophia's mouth bit by bit. Sophia did not stop him and opened her mouth to eat.
Natalie said, "Eat Spaghetti only. Don't eat the side dishes. When you recover, I will make you more."
Sophia nodded obediently.
Everyone watched as she ate the Spaghetti one bite at a time. It was as if they were eating it themselves. They were excited, and their hands trembled as Sophia finished half a plate of Spaghetti. Everyone's faces were filled with smiles, and they heaved a sigh of relief.
Olivia watched Sophia eat the Spaghetti in a daze and smiled like a fool.
Looking at the scene, Sophia tried her best to hold back her tears. She felt sorry for making everyone worry. She wanted to say something, but in the end, she realized she could not say a word. After a while, Rachel came in with Caleb. As soon as she entered, she saw Sophia eating Spaghetti on the bed. She was so excited that she cried and called out with a trembling voice, "Sophia." Swallowing the food in her mouth, Sophia looked at her grandparents. "Grandma, Grandpa."
"Oh, it's good that you're awake. I'm glad you're awake. It's great. Thank God," Caleb said. He also silently told his late parents that Sophia had woken up.
Mary's legs prevented her from walking freely. She held the handrail and walked in to take a look. She secretly wiped her tears and went out again. Everyone had their backs facing the door, so they didn't see Mary come.
After going downstairs, Mary picked up her bag and prepared to go to the Wilson family's cemetery.
After dinner, everyone moved to the base. Sophia was carried into the car by Trevon. In an instant, Sophia felt that she was too weak. However, since it was because her father was worried, she did not refuse. She did whatever she could to make her father feel happy and at ease.
When other kids were about to arrive at the Wilson's residence, they were notified to go to the base. Therefore, halfway there, they changed directions and headed toward the base.
Caleb and Rachel were waiting at home. Trevon said that it wouldn't help even if they all went there.
Frank, Ava, Jasper, Ruby, Hackett, and Edward were already waiting at the base. Chris and Stella were also waiting at the side. They all arrived at the base at the fastest speed.
Seeing the RV stop, Frank and Jasper helped to open the door. Trevon did not let Sophia walk by herself the entire time. He carried her out of the car. Sophia gave everyone a reassuring smile as she greeted everyone.
Seeing that Sophia had woken up, Frank, who was usually calm, looked surprised. He glanced at Trevon, who was silent, and said, "It's good you're awake. Let's go in and check."
Jasper raised his hand and prepared to carry Sophia. He said, "Dad, let me carry Sophia."
"I'll do it." Trevon insisted.
Jasper nodded and let his father do it. Ruby took a look at Sophia and heaved a sigh of relief.
Hackett happily scratched his hair. He scratched his hair but still felt that it was not enough. Then, he scratched Frank's. Frank elbowed him and glared at him. He said coldly, "You're itching for a beating." Hackett grinned. "I'm just too happy."
When Ava saw the scene of them fighting again, she smiled and walked forward with them. Trevon carried Sophia and strode inside. He was anxious to confirm his daughter's health. Natalie followed at the side.
Ava wanted to help, but Frank grabbed her arm. "Let him do it himself."
"Oh." After thinking about it, Ava seemed to understand what Frank meant.
After a round of examination, Natalie personally followed and discussed the results with a few seniors. After more than an hour, almost every part of Sophia's body had been examined.
After they finished discussing, a smile appeared on Natalie's face. She told Sophia, who was sitting there, Jasper, who was standing there, and Trevon, "Everything is fine. Don't worry." Then, she patiently instructed her daughter, "Sophia, you have to recuperate well next."
"Got it, Mom, Dad, I want to..." Sophia looked up with a pleading gaze.
Before Sophia could finish her sentence, Trevon agreed. "I will take you there." Then, he patted Sophia's head dotingly.
"I'll accompany you." Jasper knew
where Sophia was going. Ruby wanted to accompany them, but she was interrupted by Trevon. "Go to work, you all. It's a good day today. Come to the Wilson's residence for dinner tonight. Jasper, go arrange it."
"Well, okay." Jasper understood when he heard what his father said.
Now that Sophia was fine, the gloominess in Natalie's heart dissipated with the wind. She smiled and asked, "Is there a place for me?"
Now, Sophia was completely occupied by Trevon.
Trevon smiled, looked at Natalie, and replied to her. Then, he instructed Olivia, "Go, Olivia. I'll bring Sophia out for a while. Go and arrange dinner with your brother."
"Oh, okay, then I'll invite everyone." Olivia nodded.
Chris had surgery to do at night. He was busy. He said it was great that Sophia woke up. Leia was on a business trip, and there were still two people at home who needed to study. He said, "Sophia, can I be absent tonight? There's a surgery."
Sophia nodded. "Alright."
Chris smiled. Seeing that Sophia was in a good state, he raised his head and glanced at Trevon, who had recovered his energy. He was relieved.
They walked out of the office. Then,
they saw a group of children standing at the door. Liam was the most eye-catching. He had shaved his head, making Sophia so shocked that she stopped in her tracks. After checking, she insisted on watking by herself. She only held her father's hand and asked in shock, "What's going on? A new look? Is it the new trend?"
This was said to the bald Liam. Ten minutes ago, when the others saw Liam, they were also dumbfounded. They asked him what stimulated him to shave his satisfied hair and even shave it all. Hackett put his hands in his pockets and automatically blocked his son's shiny head. He did not know medicine and could only wait outside. When he saw Sophia come out, he asked, "How is it?" Trevon replied, "Pretty good, thanks."
He said thanks to everyone. He could not say much to express his gratitude, but he remembered everyone's actions during this period.
Edward nodded. Liam wiped his shiny bald head and smiled.
Frank said, "You have thanked me millions of times. Stop saying it. Sophia is my niece, after all." Hackett added, "She's also my daughter. My son-in-law's sister can be considered my daughter."
Before Liam could explain, Sophia felt she heard a piece of big news. She asked, "Son-in-law?"
Olivia smiled and held Sophia's other hand. "Jasper and Ruby. They've already registered their marriage. So, hey, this is our sister-in-law."
After saying that, Olivia pointed at Ruby and introduced her new identity.
Ruby smiled gently.
For a moment Sophia could not
react. Sophia tried her best to recall the words that had appeared in her ears. In her daze, she had heard
several words like marriage ne
and sister-in-law. It was just the image of blood splattering on her face was more vivid in her mind.
Ruby took a few steps forward and said gently, "There's no hurry. I'll explain to you tonight what happened."
Sophia nodded. Trevon gave a few simple instructions to everyone. Then, he told Frank and Hackett he was going to the cemetery. Frank understood and said he would go to the Wilson's residence after the meeting.
"Edward, invite Rose to the Wilson's residence for dinner," Trevon said.
"Okay, alright. I'll pick her up later." Edward agreed.
In the cemetery, a brand new tombstone was erected in a corner. On the black tombstone was written, "Harvey Jorge."
According to the Wilson family rules, only the Wilson family people were allowed in this cemetery. However, Harvey had to be in this cemetery, too, even if his last name was not Wilson.
Sophia restrained her emotions and squatted down with Natalie's help. Natalie brought some things and placed them on the table. Then, she handed a bouquet to Sophia and said, "Give your captain a bouquet."
"Okay." The moment Sophia received the bouquet, tears welled up in her eyes again. She put the bouquet in front of the tombstone with trembling hands.
Then, she sat on the ground like she did on a mission. She crossed her legs and rested her chin on one hand. She was silent as she stared at the name on the tombstone without blinking.
Trevon pulled his trouser legs and sat down beside his daughter. Natalie also followed suit. She raised her hand and hugged her daughter like they were friends. "Sophia, if you have anything to say, just say it. She would feel better after she said it. That way, she wouldn't have to hide it in her heart and feel suppressed.
