Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon)

Chapter 719

At this moment, Olivia's mind was filled with Sophia standing in the living room before going to a foreign school and patting her chest to assure them she would be fine. She even walked around the living room. Sophia even boxed in the living room to show her ability, making everyone laugh.

That was the day when Trevon agreed to her going overseas to study. Sophia happily promised everyone in the living room.

She was so happy that she felt she could fly. The scene of that day was still vivid in Olivia's mind. It was as if it was yesterday. The scene of her being happy with Sophia played in her mind. She wished that the person lying here was her and not Sophia.

Olivia held Sophia's hand and cried for a long time. Even her voice was hoarse from crying. Jasper reached out to hug Natalie. Natalie covered her mouth and cried silently.

When Ruby came out of the room, she saw such a sad scene. Her eyes turned red as she hugged the crying Natalie to comfort her.

No matter what Olivia said, Sophia, lying on the bed, did not react. Jasper walked up and half-knelt on the ground. He cradled the back of Sophi's head in his broad palm and pressed her to his chest. His voice was hoarse, and he tried to restrain his emotions. "She will wake up. Let Sophia sleep for a while. She might be tired from catching the criminals and wants to rest."

Olivia turned around and hugged Jasper. She cried very loudly. She was so sad that she cried heartbreakingly. Jasper half-knelt on the ground and hugged Olivia to comfort her.

Trevon came up after a long time. He smelled of smoke. When Natalie stopped crying, she could smell the smoke on him and knew that he was using it to ease his heartache. "Go take a shower and rest for a while. Let Olivia and Jasper watch here for a while. Ruby, go back and rest for a while."

Ruby shook her head. "Let me watch together, Natalie. I've already slept."

Natalie nodded and didn't stop Ruby. She helped Trevon into the room. Ruby closed the door and walked to Olivia's side. She took a tissue to wipe Olivia's tears and said in a nasal voice, "Let's chat with Sophia and talk about what Sophia wants to hear."

Ruby pulled a stool for Olivia to sit on and helped her stand up. She was about to get another stool for Jasper to sit on when Jasper grabbed her wrist. "I'll get it."

Looking at Ruby, who had lost weight, Jasper felt guilty. However, Ruby was also stubborn. Since she said she would accompany him, she would never sleep alone.

Jasper pulled a stool for Ruby to sit beside Olivia. He pulled one for himself and sat on the other side, helping Sophia adjust her blanket.

In the wee hours of the morning, the room entered a chat mode. The chat was between Olivia and Ruby. They were talking to Sophia, lying on the bed without reaction. They were trying to sit her up. Jasper sat upright and held Sophia's hand under the blanket. He pursed his lips and listened quietly to his sister and fiancée chatting with Sophia.

Sometimes, when they talked about how Sophia was naughty when she was young, Jasper would subconsciously smile. Perhaps it was because Sophia's naughty appearance was stored in his mind, and at this moment, it would be even more memorable for him, and he would miss it very much.

It was dawn. A new day began.

Natalie pushed open the door and saw that the three kids had stopped chatting. They rested their chins on their hands and leaned against the bed. "Jasper, why don't you and Ruby go to sleep? Olivia, go to sleep too."

The three of them stood up. Jasper stuffed Sophia's hand back under the blanket and helped to tidy up the blanket. He walked to Ruby's side and said softly, "Go home to sleep for a while before going to the company."

Ruby shook her head. Jasper had not slept enough either. She could not let him go to work alone. She was worried. "I'm not sleepy. I slept early last night. I've already slept enough, so I can't fall asleep now. I'l sleep early tonight."

Meeting her determined gaze, he helplessly rubbed the top of Ruby's head and told Olivia to go and have breakfast before sleeping.

Olivia wanted to sleep in Sophia's room and accompany her. However, she was pushed to the room by Natalie. "Be good. Don't you have class today?"

"I'm on leave. I'll go on Monday." Sophia was already in such a state. How could she still be in the mood to go to school? She had sent the teacher a message asking for leave early in the morning.

When Natalie heard Olivia say she had taken leave, she said nothing about it. She only persuaded her daughter to rest. "Have some breakfast before going to bed. Be good."

"Mom, then I'd better go to sleep first. I won't want to sleep after eating." When I wake up, I'll go to Sophia's room to eat and lure her with the food.

At the thought of this, her heart began to ache again. She turned around and returned to her room. Natalie had always let her daughter do what she wanted and did not force her. She carefully closed the door of her daughter's room and reminded her to sleep well again.

In another room, Natalie had tampered with something. Last night, she had drugged Trevon with a sleeping pill. That was why Trevon slept so soundly.

On the stairs, Natalie instructed, "Jasper, if you feel tired, assign some of the projects in your hands to Mr. Hawk."

"Okay." Jasper nodded.

After breakfast, Ruby and Jasper went to work. Meanwhile, Natalie had already handed all her work to other doctors. She was from the neurosurgery department, to begin with. Now that Sophia was unconscious, her major was the right one. She would not leave her daughter to go to work.

Meanwhile, Chris would also come every day. Although Chris was from the thyroid and breast surgery department and did not have much research on Sophia's condition, as Trevon's good friend, he still came to visit Sophia whenever he was free.

Trevon and Olivia were still asleep. After having breakfast, Natalie went to Sophia's room to accompany her. She brought a basin of hot water from the bathroom and wrung a towel to wipe Sophia's body. The small wound on Sophia's face had already started to scab over. Natalie wiped it gently, not daring to use too much strength for fear of hurting Sophiat. She slowly talked to Sophia. It was as if Sophia was still sober, and they were chatting as usual. "Sophia, I will wipe your hands for you. You can rest if you're tired, but don't sleep for too long. Everyone is waiting for you."

She said as if to herself, "Olivia took leave today to wait for you to wake up and play with her. Ruby and Jasper's wedding date is set for 8 January. We're still waiting for you to be the bridesmaid. Don't rest for too long and miss your brother's wedding. Didn't you say it's a pity Jasper doesn't fancy Ruby? It's not right. Your brother and Ruby are in love with each other. Jasper lied. Get up and hit Jasper to settle the score with him yourself."

She wiped so carefully. She even wiped the back of Sophia's ears. After wiping them, she threw the towel into the basin and carried it into the bathroom. When she came out again, she lowered the cuff of her wrist and opened the curtains. A warm ray of sunlight shone into the room.

It was as if she had seen hope, and her mood improved a lot.

She pulled the stool closer to the edge of the bed and dipped a cotton swab into the water on the bedside table. She began to apply it to Sophia's lips and muttered softly, "Sophia, don't sleep for too long. I'm afraid your father can't hold on. Your father blames himself too much. He has always felt it was because he indulged your thoughts and sent you to a foreign country that led to today. He has been thinking about it and has had more gray hair. If there's anything, we can talk and resolve it, okay? Don't block yourself out. Otherwise, what should your parents, grandparents, and those who love you do?"

As she spoke, her hand was massaging Sophia. She did not know how long she had been talking, but the person on the bed still did not move. It was as if she was completely isolated from the world and could not hear anything around her.

After Olivia woke up, she massaged Sophia with her father and chatted with her. All the company's burden was on Jasper, and Ruby had a hard time helping Jasper share the workload. She was so busy that she barely had a second to sit and rest. She had to attend management classes, learn from Priscilla, and ask Terrell questions.

At night, she had to wake up in the middle of the night to accompany Jasper to chat with Sophia. Ever since Sophia's accident, Jasper's sleep had been very light. It was so light that he only slept a few hours a night. And he went to Sophia's room as soon as he woke up.

He was afraid that he would miss the time when Sophia woke up.

Ruby's heart ached when she saw this, but she couldn't do anything other than silently accompany him.

Recently, Jasper had been too busy. Ruby was sensible and did not want to disturb him. She only wanted to help him relieve the burden on his shoulders.

Around 10 o'clock, the Blackwells, the Landors, and the Yamins came to the Wilson's residence to see how Sophia was doing. They stayed for a few hours before returning. After leaving the Wilson's residence they all had mixed feelings.

In the afternoon, Tucker brought his wife and children to the Wilson's residence to visit Sophia. As soon as he left, Jim came with his wife and son, accompanied by Terrell.

Natalie notified Tucker about it. Her close friends and family all knew about it. Tucker would be sad if she hid it from him, so she chose to tell him personally.

And Jim had found out about it when he asked Jasper. If Jim found out, they couldn't hide it from Terrell anymore.

After dinner, a group of people entered the Wilson's residence, and they were Sherri, Liam, Hackett, Rose, Edward, Harper, Ava, and Frank.

After a few days of adjustment and sleep, Trevon seemed to have accepted that Sophia was in a coma. He slowly walked down the stairs and saw a group of people entering the door. Hackett and Frank sat down on the sofa by themselves. Rachel called for the maids to serve coffee. Not wanting to disturb the young people's conversation, she helped Caleb upstairs. Jasper stood up from the sofa and helped Caleb to his room. Caleb said, "It's fine. You can chat with them for a while. I can go up by myself."

"There's no hurry," Jasper replied.

Upon hearing his grandson's words, Caleb did not say anything else. The entire family knew Jasper's temper.

Liam was in a hurry to go upstairs. "Mr. Wilson, I'll go upstairs to see Sophia."

Trevon nodded in agreement. "Go ahead. Olivia is upstairs."

Hearing the commotion downstairs, Natalie came out of Sophia's room. When she saw a group of people sitting downstairs, she was touched and apologetic as she quickly walked downstairs. "You don't have to come every day. It's fine."

They were all quite busy. Ava's family still had two people who would take the SAT, and Cyril was so naughty. Rose was even busier. There were still three people at her home who had to study.

Natalie and Trevon did not know that since Sophia's accident, Frank and Ava had asked Grace to find two tutors to tutor the two children at home because they were afraid that Natalie and Trevon needed help. However, they did not tell Natalie and Trevon about this.

Frank picked up an orange and peeled it. He glanced at Trevon's expression and asked, "How is she today?"

Natalie replied, "Pretty good. All the indicators are normal." She just didn't wake up.

Everyone else nodded. Edward remained silent. From his angle, he saw a trace of white hair on Trevon's head. He sighed in his heart and felt all the comforting words were useless. Hackett was in low spirits and had lost all interest in joking. Ruby sat beside him and whispered something to him. She was probably talking about Sophia's situation over the past few days. There was no smile on Hackett's face, and his jawline was tense.

Just as everyone was quiet, Ava scanned everyone's faces. "My parents and Joseph will come over tonight, Natalie."

Natalie had hoped that Sophia would wake up in a few days because she did not want to tell Emma and the others about this in case they were worried and had to come to her house often. "I still wanted to wait a few more days."

Trevon's phone received a message from Chris, saying, [I have surgery tonight. Leia is on a business trip. I'll come over tomorrow morning.]

Trevon replied, [You don't have to come over every day. It's fine. Just do what you need to do.]

Chris did not reply to this message.
