Chapter 8 Downhearted
When driving home, May received a call from Sherry. She asked May about the project result.
May told Sherry what happened—of course, saving the unnecessary section.
Sherry was delighted and asked some joyful things about her crush before hanging up the phone.
Perhaps because the first draft of the design was affirmed, May was in a quite good mood.
When she got home, it was almost ten o'clock. At this time, Jean Yang was already asleep as usual.
The car had just entered the gate of the Chu's Villa, and suddenly, a coquetry girl's voice from the black Lamborghini was parked
inside.
May was no stranger to this voice. It was from Susanna.
Her excellent mood disappeared like a waterdrop evaporates in the air.
May sat in her car, only feeling her stiff limbs.
She turned off the car lights. The lights of Lamborghini were turned off as well, but since it was parked under the small garden's
lights, the ambiguous scenes inside were still unobstructed to May's eyes.
May watched Susanna hurriedly put on her skirt and jacket, and watched her look at Sean with a coquettish look, and then they
kissed together again. As if there was a hole in May's heart, now the wind was unscrupulous going through the hole, the pain in
her heart gradually became unbearable.
She didn't know how long their kiss took. It was when her heart was too numb to feel anything that Sean started his car and took
Susanna away.
May walked into the house like a walking dead. She went straight into the bathroom and opened the faucet to wash her face.
As soon as the water outflowed, she slid to the ground and buried her face in her knees.
May and Sean were not in a relationship like this at first. Although she acted too addicted to him most of the time, he was still
very gentle with her and spoiled her. He never sternly accused her, nor did he make her sad.
Sean now broke her heart, but she didn't even know when he started to change his attitude to her.
He could no longer see what she had devoted to him and had always been keeping her desperate and upset.
There was a burst of coolness on her body, and May was trembling with cold. She found that the faucet was not turned off, and
the water had accumulated on the floor of the bathroom, soaking her clothes.
She got up and turned off the faucet, looking at the woman in the mirror whose face was as white as a ghost.
The door of the villa was opened from just outside the bathroom.
Hearing the familiar footsteps, May did not look back but knew that Sean was back.
Since he hated her, why should she appear in front of his eyes?
She walked upstairs without looking at Sean but found that the footsteps behind her got closer and closer. When she was too
late to respond, her right hand was tightly grasped by one hand. "Where did you go tonight?"
Sean's voice was cold, and he didn't care about the strength of his hand.
May only felt that her wrist was going to be dislocated. She turned around with a suppressed and faint voice: "Have a dinner."
"With whom?"
Sean stared at her eyes.
May's eyes are beautiful, not the kind of splendid beauty, but another soft and demure beauty. Her facial features are exquisite
and have no attack power, which makes people feel peace.
Sean was in a trance for a moment. He thought that if the woman in front of him were not a woman with a viper heart, probably,
he would still be willing to live well with her.
The thought flashed through his head only a second.
Sean became aggressive: "With a group of men again? May Song, Did you betray me, or have you done anything I don't know
before? How did you deal with your business, eh?" His tone gradually became harsh and unpleasant.
May looked quietly at the man in front of her. She knew what he was thinking. At this moment, she only felt incredibly ironic.
She withdrew her hand grasped by him fiercely, staggering two steps, and said lightly: "Wow, you got angry? Because I had
business affairs with other men? How interesting."
