True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2249

Sylvia's expression soon relaxed. She no longer felt guilty when she looked at Claudia.

"Claudia, you'd better clean up the mess." Sylvia quickly changed the topic. She did not want to make things awkward amongst them. She pointed at the pile of things on the ground and said to Claudia, "Look at that pile of mess. Why don't I help you?"

"All right, thank you. You're still the best." Claudia immediately nodded with a smile. "You need some time to digest the juice that you drank anyways. You drank a lot of it. Come and help me sort out some of these things."

"All right." Sylvia immediately agreed.

She walked over to Claudia and started tidying the mess on the ground.

When Kendrix saw that, he frowned. He was a little suspicious as he thought to himself, "Sylvia can barely even cut fruits. Is she capable of cleaning up this mess?"

Sylvia noticed the doubt in Kendrix's eyes in an instant.

Why was Mr. Trevino looking at her like that? Is he doubting her abilities in sorting things out?

Although she had never entered the kitchen, it did not mean she wasn't capable of cleaning up. She was actually good at it.

Why was he looking at her like that?

Did he really think that she was so useless?

She was very upset by that.

Sylvia felt a flash of irritation. She thought to herself, "I must show him that I can do it! I don't want him to look at me so sympathetically and I want to prove to him that he was wrong about me!" Sylvia took a deep breath to perk herself up. Then, she reminded herself not to think too much and just do her task well.

She then explained to Claudia the things the she bought for her, and told her about what their usage were. She also suggested that they should be kept at certain places for easier access. In that respect, Sylvia knew it quite well and she had her own preferences.

Claudia agreed with her suggestions.

The two girls started tidying up Claudia's apartment while also looking at how to decorate the place.

After a while, the pile of mess on the floor was finally put into their respective places.

There were less things on the ground then compared to before. The place looked much tidier then instantly.

The entire cabinet was filled with all sorts of things. Suddenly, the entire apartment went from looking like a messy boy's room to a tidy looking apartment, fit for a girl.

Even Kendrix was a little surprised when he saw the results. In fact, he was stunned by her ability at it.

Kendrix looked at Sylvia, a glint of awe flashed across his eyes, then a gentle smile slowly appeared on his lips.

Sylvia secretly looked back at Kendrix and suddenly felt embarrassed when she found him staring at her so intently.

However, Sylvia noticed the admiration in Kendrix's eyes.

Was he surprised by her?

Unconsciously, she was beaming with pride when she saw the look in his eyes. She was still a little girl after all.

She raised her chin slightly, her eyes were bright and shining.

Kendrix was also stunned when he looked at her. Then, a huge smile spread across his face as he looked at her so gently and dotingly.

Kendrix and Sylvia stared at each other with their big eyes, as if they were the only ones in the room. They totally forgot that they had a third wheel next to them.

Claudia was also speechless when she saw the two looking at each other that day. Did they have to be so obsessed with each other?

Claudia wanted to remind them that she was still in the room, but they were just too busy looking at each other, totally forgetting her presence.

Sigh!

Claudia did not know what to say, and in fact, she was a little envious. She reached out and pinched her nose bridge. She wonder whether she should make a dash for the exit or continue being a third wheel there.

While she was hesitating, she asked the two people in front of her who were totally immersed in their own world.

However, Kendrix and Sylvia looked like they were not going to stop staring at each other anytime soon.

Claudia hesitated for a long time and felt that it was best if she left the room.

She felt it was best to give them some space.

Just as she was cautiously sneaking into her own room, she heard Kendrix's deep voice asking, "Where are you going?"

"Uh!" Claudia froze. She turned her

to look

head Kendrix. She

chuckled and said, "Oh, I'm just going back to my room. I want to

check whether I have any dirty

clothes that needs to be washed.

You guys continue doing what you're

doing while I do the laundry."

"Oh." Kendrix was caught off guard. Then, after a moment of silence, he said unhurriedly, "All right, take your time."

"Okay." Claudia despised her cousin very much. She wondered whether he was subtly hinting that she should stay in her room a little longer.

Kendrix was unbelievable!

She had already decided to give them space and he was asking her to stay in her room then. Was this her apartment or his? Although Claudia had a lot of resentment in her heart, she still nodded. "All right, don't worry. I'll be sure to take my time." Kendrix smiled and actually said, "Good girl!"

Claudia's eyebrows twitched and she felt goosebumps all over her body. She suddenly widened her eyes and found it amusing.

She sneered in her heart.

However, Claudia decided not to argue with Kendrix in the end. After all, Kendrix was ready to make progress in his relationship after so long.

Kendrix might have potentially found himself a girlfriend. How could Claudia bear to blame him?

Claudia looked at Sylvia, who was blushing, with sympathy. She felt that Sylvia was no match for her cousin at all.

How could a girl as pretty and innocent as Sylvia be a match for Kendrix?

From Claudia's point of view, Kendrix was basically a big bad wolf.

She gave them one last smile, as if she was hinting them, before turning to head into her room.

When she reached the door, she

somehow felt that it was inappropriate. Then, she turned to look at Sylvia and said, "Sylvia, you can talk to Kendrix while I do the laundry. I hope you don't mind me leaving you two alone for awhile."

"Oh, I don't mind." Sylvia immediately shook her head. "Just do whatever you need to do."

"All right then." Claudia smiled and said, "Feel free to make yourself at home. You can explore the rooms if you want to. I'll be in the bathroom doing my laundry. See you later."

Both of them could hear Claudia's intentions very clearly. It sounded as if she was setting them up.

Sure enough, Sylvia started blushing again.

She looked at Claudia with an embarrassed smile.

Claudia winked at her, as if she had already seen through her thoughts long ago.

Sylvia's first thought was to quickly run away.

However, Kendrix was so charming that she could not bear to part with him.

When Sylvia thought back to Claudia's expression earlier, she was even more annoyed. She knew she must have done it on purpose.

Although Claudia had done it only for her, still, she had behaved too brazenly. She was not subtle at all, and she definitely had purposely left her and Kendrix alone.

She made it seem that she was so desperate for love. As for Kendrix, why did he talk to Claudia like that earlier?

It was obvious that he wanted Claudia to leave so that they could spend some time alone.

After Claudia entered the bedroom and closed the door, Sylvia looked up at Kendrix. She felt a euphoric excitement when she met his handsome face. "Did you do it on purpose?"
