Chapter 598 Are You Alright?
Half an hour later, Evan reached Grand East Hospital.
Several police officers were present outside Daniella’s room. One of them approached Evan, saying, “Mr.
Jordan, Ms. Love asked us to give you this before she lost consciousness
The officer handed Evan a sack filled with dusty medicinal herbs
Evan examined it with a puzzled expression. He discovered a note containing an image of the herbs, their
scientific name, and the name of a supplement store, along with a message indicating they were helpful
for late–stage leukemia patients.
Evan returned the note to the sack and asked, “Is she severely hurt?”
The officer replied, “She has multiple abrasions on her body. She kept talking about delivering this item to
you.”
Mixed emotions swirled within Evan. Despite his dislike for Danielle, she had exerted considerable effort
to aid Axel’s recovery this time. It would be ungrateful not to allow her to see Axel after her efforts.
After a brief conversation with the police officers, Evan entered the room, unaware that someone had
discreetly taken photos of him doing so.
To his surprise, these photos were promptly posted online and became a top–searched post.
Later that evening, Kenny returned to Bayview Villa, appearing cautious and occasionally stealing glances
at Caroline.
Caroline sensed something was amiss, but Kenny averted his gaze whenever she looked at him.
Caroline remarked, “You’ve been looking at me strangely. Are you hiding something?”

Kenny chuckled nervously. “Why would I hide anything from you?”
Caroline said, “You’re not fooling me with that laughter.”
Kenny admitted, “It’s nothing, really. Has Eira prepared dinner? Let’s eat.”
Caroline chose not to press further upon seeing Kenny’s reluctance to speak.
As Caroline headed to the dining room, her phone rang unexpectedly. She answered Palge’s call, putting it
on speaker, and asked, “What’s going on, Paige?”

Paige gasped. “Carol! That insincere woman fell off a mountain, and Evan visited her! What on earth is
happening?”
Caroline and Kenny were shocked. Paige had revealed what he lacked the courage to say
himself.
Caroline regained her composure and replied casually, “Noted.”
‘So, Evan rushed off because of Daniella. This is absurd. I’ve suspected Evan and Daniella’s connection
due to Axel so many times. What more is there to explain now? she thought.
Caroline hung up the call and headed to the dining room.
Alarmed by her expression, Kenny asked, “Are you okay, G?”
Caroline stopped and faced Kenny. “What’s wrong with me? Are you joining us for dinner?”
“Yes,” Kenny hastily replied, following Caroline to the dining room.
Back at the hospital, Reuben informed Evan about the viral post,

Evan looked solemn as he ordered, “Take action against the media company that published it.”
Concern for Caroline filled Evan’s thoughts, prompting him to quickly dial her number.
However, Caroline rejected the call.
Evan clutched his phone tightly and headed for the elevator, ignoring Reuben’s offer of an umbrella.
Twenty minutes later, Evan arrived at Bayview Villa, stepping out of the car into the pouring rain. He knocked on the door, calling
out, “Caroline, open the door!”
The door swung open just as his voice trailed off. Kenny stood before Evan with crossed arms and said coldly, “Please do not
disturb Caroline while she rests, Mr. Jordan.”
