Trapped I can't escape from the Billionaire

Chapter 183

Desi glanced at Letta, who was now sitting while watching a large TV in front of her with a variety of fruit snacks and other sweets. Letta looked towards Desi, who was sitting farther away. "Desi, sit here, accompany me in watching," Letta said, making Desi just smile.

"It's okay, Madam. I can stay here with you. Besides, I need to check on the other servants,” Desi said, causing Letta to look around.

"It's almost evening. Besides, they don't need to be supervised. Just let them be; they might be tired from the whole day's work. So, relax here," Letta said, eventually making Desi sit closer to her.

"Come closer. It's fine here. Don't sit far away like that," Letta said again, making Desi finally sit closer. Desi then looked at the TV show Letta was watching, like romantic dramas that always captivated Letta's attention. "Isn't their love story so tragic? I follow every episode," Letta said, making Desi just smile.

"Yes, I followed it in the early episodes, but not anymore,” Desi said, and Letta immediately returned her gaze.

"Why? Isn't the show thrilling?" Letta asked again.

"I'm busy checking on other servants' work," Desi said, making Letta nod.

"Yes, you're very busy. Even though the show is exciting. Do you see that man? He was abandoned by his lover to marry a wealthier man. Isn't it very sad? Their love, which I initially strongly supported, but it turns out, ah, no one knows what's in the writer's mind," Letta said, making Desi just smile.

"Yes, in the real world, there are many mistresses like that. Aren't women nowadays more realistic?" Desi said, making Letta pause before nodding.

"Yes, that's true. How about yourself? At your age, shouldn't you be ready for marriage?" Letta asked, making Desi pause for a moment, then smile.

"I'm still comfortable being the head servant in this house, Madam. I haven't thought about leaving," Desi replied, making Letta nod again.

"You should spend more time with them while they're around you. Otherwise, you might miss them and miss their presence. After all, they are your family, your closest people," Letta said, making Desi nod her head.

"Alright, Madam. I'll give it a try," Desi said, not being very close to her own family. Her relationship with her father and younger sibling had never been particularly good, which is why Desi always found comfort in this house.

Letta then returned her gaze to the flat screen in front of her but didn't delve into her curiosity about Desi's life. Letta was afraid she might seem too intrusive about personal matters. Until, moments later, Letta fell silent as she saw the news on the flat screen in front of her, clearly showing her husband's figure. However, what made Marco appear on the TV news, Letta wondered, now looking at Desi.

"Does Marco often appear in TV news?" Letta asked, making Desi pause. The next moment, the reporter continued to announce that Marco had resumed his relationship with Arabella. Several photos showed them in the same hotel, although not simultaneously, and the news stated that Marco and Arabella intentionally deceived the paparazzi. Letta fell silent, her breath even seemed to stop, and her heartbeat felt like it ceased.

"What are they reporting, Desi?" Letta asked, making Desi remain silent. Desi didn't know what to explain to her mistress.

"Maybe it's just gossip, Madam," Desi said, trying to calm Letta.

"But what about those photos?" Letta asked again.

"Maybe they just happened to be in the same place, and the paparazzi caught them,” Desi replied.

"Has Marco contacted me? It's been days since he gave any news. He should have anticipated this before the news came out, shouldn't he? But Marco didn't explain anything to me, not the last time he called," Letta said, making Desi remain silent.

"After this news comes out, Master will probably try to contact you, Madam,” Desi said, trying to reassure Letta. Finally, Letta stood up from her seat.

"In that case, let me know when Marco calls. I need to rest immediately," Letta said, her face still showing a surprised expression, prompting Desi to stand up as well.

"Do you want me to accompany you, Madam?" Desi asked, and Letta shook her head.

"You must be tired too. Just rest. I can go back on my own," Letta said, finally starting to climb the stairs to their room. Her heartbeat still felt rapid, and the surprise lingered. Seeing that news was something Letta had never imagined, even if Marco would be with another woman.

"Who is she?" Letta muttered, trying to recall someone by that name. Did she previously know someone named Arabella? Letta looked at the phone in her room, contemplating whether she should contact her husband. However, Letta shook her head. Marco must know that news like this would quickly reach him, and he would surely explain it to Letta. That was the current thought in Letta's mind. Finally, Letta tried to lie down. It seemed that trying to sleep might bring a bit more peace, she thought.

Letta tried to close her eyes, but the shadows and images of Marco with another woman still filled her mind. Letta ended up sitting again. Even trying to stroll around the room or start reading a book couldn't make her mind focus. Letta tried to inhale slowly and then exhale.

Letta hoped that all the news was just gossip, as Desi had said. Marco couldn't possibly betray her behind her back. Letta tried to calm herself, even though many factors could strengthen the news. A wealthy and handsome man like Marco Jovanka surely wouldn't be immune to women around him. Letta felt uneasy with what she had just discovered about the reality of Marco Jovanka.
