Trapped I can't escape from the Billionaire

Chapter 106

"They fell silent as Pedro led them to one of the clubs that still remained Marco's personal asset. There was no Jovanka's name behind it, solely because of Marco's desire to have a club he could visit whenever he wanted.

"You can drop me off if you feel uncomfortable," Lusi suddenly said, sitting right next to Marco, making him glance at her momentarily. It turned out Lusi was more outspoken than he had previously thought. She was like a compliant cat in front of her father, Marco thought, just tugging at the corner of his lip.

"It's fine, I'm okay. Actually, the problem lies with you if you feel uncomfortable," Marco said, finally making Lusi turn slightly behind. There were two black cars still following them before she leaned back again and let out a long sigh. She seemed uneasy, especially when Lusi started taking off her high heels, leaving her feet bare.

"Sorry for my rudeness, but my feet are very sore. Wearing these high heels makes my feet tired, even just looking at them," Lusi suddenly said, making Marco look at her more sharply. It turned out she was completely different from her feminine appearance.

"Then why are you wearing them?" Marco asked.

"It's because of Mr. Adam you mentioned earlier. What's the point of making me wear this dress and high heels when all I'm going to do is listen to you talk? He might as well have just called me and left the phone connected," Lusi said, making Marco slightly amused by her confession.

"Why didn't you refuse?" Marco asked, making Lusi's movements stop as she massaged her calf.

"Because I have no reason to refuse. It's better to go along with it than to argue with my father. Even though he doesn't let me be myself," Lusi replied, making Marco simply nod.

"Then, is going to the club your father's wish or yours?" Marco asked.

"It was my father's spontaneous wish, but I couldn't refuse either. It's better than sitting silently in a restaurant waiting for you to talk for hours," Lusi answered, making Marco have no more questions, and they fell silent until they arrived at Marco's club.

"Is this club really yours?" Lusi asked, making Marco only look at her for a moment.

"Yes, you could say so," Marco said.

"In that case, tonight, can I ask for some free drinks? Not a lot, just a few glasses. Let's say it's because I'm the daughter of your colleague," Lusi said spontaneously, making Marco smile thinly. "Alright, I'll instruct my staff and inform the bartender to provide you with drinks as much as you want until you leave this club," Marco said again, making Lusi grin widely.

"Then, thank you for the ride, and don't forget your promise. I don't want to suddenly be charged because I can't pay for my own drinks," Lusi said before closing the door and leaving through the club's entrance. Meanwhile, Pedro drove his car again. Marco entered through the regular door that only he could pass before going straight up to the second floor where his club was located, observing how his club was filled with upper-class patrons.

Marco then walked towards Pedro. "Don't forget your task. Don't let the woman earlier create a scene in this club because suddenly someone is asking for her drinks," Marco said, making Pedro suppress his smile while nodding and dealing with what Marco said. However, a few minutes later, Marco furrowed his brow hearing a commotion below, realizing that Pedro had already left.

Marco descended alone and saw Pedro calming down a fight between two women. One of them was Lusi, accused of being a slut by a blonde woman in an open dress. Lusi retorted, "You were the one who deliberately spilled your drink on my dress first. Are you jealous because you can't afford the expensive dress I'm wearing? Luckily, this dress is black, so even if you spill a bright-colored drink, it won't have any effect on me." Lusi remained calm even as the woman grew angrier, surrounded by several people restraining her.

"I'm sick of people with innocent faces like you, it's so disgusting," she said, trying to free herself from her friends' grip.

"Let me go! I won't attack her. That childish woman's behavior is truly despicable, even though I did it accidentally and already apologized, but you turned out to be so vengeful," the blonde girl's words made Lusi only fold her arms. "Of course, life must be paid with a life. That's how it is for me. You spilled your drink on my dress, so I have to do the same thing," Lusi said.

"You spilled it on my face, you bitch!" the blonde woman said again, making Lusi just shrug nonchalantly.

"Isn't that disgusting behavior the same as my cousin's, wherever she is now. I miss her," the blonde woman said, seeming to digress, making Lusi look at her with a strange gaze. Marco, it seemed, was no longer interested in the commotion between the two women.

"Handle both of them, make sure other patrons don't feel uncomfortable," Marco said to Pedro, who had approached him. However, suddenly Marco heard the name of someone mentioned by one of the women in the crowd, causing him to turn back again.

"Where is your cousin? I haven't heard from Letta lately," the woman whispered right behind the blonde girl.

"Don't remind her. We should deal with the woman in front of us. She has to compensate, not only for my face that got splashed with your drink, but also for this dress. Don't you know how much it costs?" the blonde girl said, making Lusi just shrug nonchalantly.

"I can send the bill to the bartender over there. Just say you're claiming compensation from the owner of this club, because I've been given free drinks for today, so why not," Lusi said, making the blonde girl immediately look at her with an incredulous expression.

"Do you know the owner of this club? Come on, don't talk nonsense like that. Are you dreaming, Miss?" the blonde girl said, merely shrugging her shoulders. Lusi was about to turn around, seemingly done with the argument, but the blonde girl didn't let her go at all. She pulled Lusi again, but when Lusi was about to slap her, suddenly Marco stopped her.

"Stop your actions. You've really caused a scene in this club that I own," Marco said, making everything quiet down again. Lusi looked at Marco with a flat expression, while the girl in front of her with blonde hair just stared at Marco as if she couldn't believe that a Marco Jovanka was in front of her. However, what Marco wanted to make sure wasn't that, but how he could be familiar with Letta. Was that the same Letta as his wife, or another woman named Letta?
