Chapter 103
Letta then looked around the room she now occupied, with white-painted walls that made her smile. "This is our room, right?" Letta asked, making Marco nod. Indeed, Marco had asked Desi to change the atmosphere of the room Letta had previously occupied and moved all of Marco's belongings there, including his books and clothes. Marco also instructed to lock the room he had previously occupied, as there were many unpleasant memories that Letta had experienced there. "But why does the room look so feminine? Don't you mind?" Letta asked, making Marco smile. "Why should I? If I sleep in a room that smells feminine, I still sleep as a man who needs a woman," Marco said, winking at Letta, who just rolled her eyes lazily. Letta then walked towards the dressing room and saw the spacious wardrobe, with Marco's and her clothes side by side, which made her smile. After that, Marco stopped Letta's movement and held her shoulder. "That's enough wandering, we can do it after you rest," Marco said again, making Letta pout. "Come on, just a little longer," Letta said, making Marco shake his head. It meant her husband didn't want her to argue, so Marco finally gently pushed Letta towards the bed and sat beside her.
"Take your vitamins first, then go to sleep immediately," Marco said, making Letta stop her movement when she was about to take her medicine. "Where are you going yourself?" Letta asked, seeing Marco's hurried appearance. "I have to take care of some matters, it won't take long. That's why I told you to sleep. After you wake up, I will already be back in this house," Marco said, making Letta fall silent for a moment before finally gazing softly at her husband. "Alright, but can you stay with me for a while before I fall asleep? My eyes aren't sleepy yet, and it will be difficult to force myself to sleep now," Letta said, making Marco take a long breath before nodding.
"Okay, I will accompany you, but you have to try to sleep, okay?" Marco said, making Letta nod. Letta then lay down, while Marco sat beside her.
"What matters need to be resolved?" Letta asked again.
"It's about someone who has messed with my company," Marco replied, causing Letta to furrow her brow.
"Really? Is your company facing a big problem?" Letta inquired once more, prompting Marco to shake his head. "Not that big, just that I need to teach a lesson to the person who dares to play with me. But don't dwell on it too much, it's just a minor issue, and I will give them a warning," Marco said, leaving Letta silent. Letta then sat up straight, causing Marco to gaze at her with raised eyebrows.
"My stomach still feels full, I'm not comfortable lying down," Letta said, understanding the meaning behind her husband's gaze, making Marco smile while looking at her round belly. Marco then reached out his hand and gently caressed it. "Is he not moving?" Marco asked, making Letta shake her head. "He hasn't moved at all since this morning. Maybe he's asleep," Letta said, making Marco smile. "Yet I really want to feel him," Marco said.
"He will probably move a lot tonight. I will let you know," Letta said, making Marco nod. After that, they fell silent for a moment before eventually drawing closer to each other as if there was a magnetic field pulling them in. Marco gazed attentively at Letta's hazel eyes, which were now gleaming with happiness, unlike the past filled with hatred, which even made Marco want to snatch those eyes and keep them.
"I think I should feel it first," Marco whispered right in front of Letta's face, making Letta smile as Marco pressed his lips against hers. Feeling the soft and warm touch of his wife's lips, Marco closed his eyes, remembering every gentle touch that he would never forget. The same went for Letta's reciprocated kiss, as if Letta also desired it. There was no coercion, everything felt natural, making Marco press against Letta's nape and slip his tongue between her sweet lips. Feeling the warmth of her mouth with soft moans in Marco's ear, he didn't want to stop.
Marco broke their kiss as he sensed Letta needed air. Marco smiled at the shiny red lips and then brought them together again, as if not giving Letta a chance to pull away. Marco held Letta's waist, but at a distance so as not to touch her round belly. Eventually, Letta gripped her husband's shoulders, causing Marco to stop the kiss. "Why?" Marco asked, making Letta shake her head.
"No, it's just that my chest feels slightly uncomfortable," Letta said, making Marco widen his eyes. "Is it painful?" Marco asked, knowing about the scar on Letta's left chest. "No, it's just a feeling that makes me happy," Letta said, causing Marco's expression to suddenly change.
"Never make me worry. You know, no matter how small the pain you're experiencing right now, it truly tortures me," Marco said, as Letta reached out, cupping her handsome husband's face, then giving him a gentle kiss on the lips. "Is that truly a sign that you really love me?" Letta asked, making Marco fall silent. Marco didn't answer at all, causing Letta to furrow her brow.
"Don't you love me?" Letta asked with a serious gaze, making Marco smile reassuringly. "Do I have to spell it out? How my fear of losing you, how my anxiety, that should be enough to represent my feelings for you," Marco said, making Letta smile. Although Marco didn't directly express the word 'love,' for Letta, it was enough. Letta then embraced Marco tightly, and Marco gently caressed his wife's back.
"You also have to be okay. Don't be too busy with all your work. You need to spare time for me and our future child. I need your attention. I want to replace all the lost time, when I lost all the memories of us. I want to replace them now and in the future. I don't want to have few memories of you," Letta said, making Marco release his embrace.
"Alright, I will try. But at least, you have to understand that your husband manages several of the largest company assets in this country. Even though I could instruct my trusted people to do it, of course, it would never be as good as when I handle it myself,” Marco said, making Letta smile at her husband's arrogant attitude.
"Yes, I believe in a Marco Jovanka," Letta said, making them both smile. "Okay, enough chit-chat. Now lie back down. I'm sure your stomach is fine. Start closing your eyes. It's been too long since we arrived at this house, and you still haven't rested," Marco said, making Letta finally choose to nod and not dispute her husband's words. Letta lay down and closed her eyes, feeling the warm strokes on the top of her head.
"I'll be here until you fall asleep," Marco said, making Letta only nod. Slowly, Letta fell asleep with the warmth of a kiss on her forehead.
