I was scared. Of Vincent.

I couldn’t get nothing out of mind. Everything that happened yesterday was running around, trying to look for answers.

“Bella” I heard his voice. I froze.

I was in the living room. I tried my best not to be alone with Vincent. It was 12 o’clock and I was alone. Something I tried not to do ever since I was awake at 8.

I was with Emily all day, but she was going shopping with Mia. They asked if I want do come, but I said no because I thought that at least Tyler and Alec will be here.

But they both left to do some work.

“Bella” I heard his voice again.

He was standing in front of me.

I looked up, to see his eyes red.

“No” I shook my head sinking back into the sofa.

“Bella, you are mine” he leaned down, blocking me from getting up.

“Okay. Okay. Just move back. Please” I whispered scared.

Red eyes, means bad Vincent.

“I will mar-” he froze, just as the door opened.

“Hailey! We’re home” I heard Emily’s voice.

“Emily” I whispered, taking a deep breath.

“No one, and I mean, no one will be able to take you away from me, Bella” Vincent grabbed my arm, pulling me up, just as Emily and Mia came into the room.

“Leave me alone” I whispered, trying to pull my arm out of his hand.

“Mia, I thought this won’t happen for a month” Emily muttered putting a few bags on the floor.

“How was I supposed to know about this. Tyler is on his way” how did she call Tyler so fast?

“No one, is taking Bella away from me” Vincent growled at them. Growling at your own parents, what the fuck?

“Xander, we won’t. Hailey is yours-” thanks for giving me away people.

“Nobody will take her. But you’re hurting her” Mia said

Vincent looked at me, his eyes softening.

“Bella, am I hurting you?” He whispered

I nodded, and automatically he loosened his hold on me.

“Bel-” Mia grabbed my hand and pulled me back, behind her.

“Wh-” I was confused. How did she do that so fast?

I have so much to learn about these people. I ask them question about themselves,about supernatural, but nobody tells me,they change the subject.

Vincent was growling, walking closer to us.

The door opened, Tyler and Alec ran inside

“Grab him” Alec shouted, grabbing Vincent by the arms.

“Let me fucking go. I need to ma-” Emily pulled me out of the room.

“Hailey, you come with me” she took me to the kitchen, and made me sit down on the stool

“Emily? What’s happening to Vincent?” I asked confused.

“Did Vincent ever tell you anything about himself?” I shrugged.

“A little” she nodded

“Vincent... he has anger problems. When he gets angry, his vampire spirit comes out” vampire?

“Vampire?“I voiced out my thought

“Yes. Vincent is a hybrid. Just like Alexa.” Oh.

“Why is he angry?”

“Yesterday, I have no idea why he was angry. And today, well-” Mia walked into the kitchen, grabbing my hand and pulling me out.

“Where are you taking me?” I asked

She walked into the living room. Vincent was on the floor, again, with both Alec and Tyler in top of him, trying to make him sit.

“Xander, she’s here” Vincent looked up at me.

“Xander?” I asked confused

“His vampire” Mia said pushing me forward.

I know people hate me, but don’t kill me.

I froze as Vincent pushed Tyler and Alec away, and stood up.

“Leave” he ordered, but nobody left.

“I said,fucking leave!” He shouted staring behind me.

“No” Tyler said and Vincent turned to him.

“Why?” He asked

“Why? Are you crazy Xander? You’ll hurt her!” Tyler shouted

“I won’t” Mia grabbed Tyler’s hand and pulled him out.

Emily did the same to Alec.

I need to leave.

I turned around, but Vincent placed a hand on my shoulder. I was waiting for the pain. It never came.

“Bella, are you scared of me?” He whispered

“Will you hurt me, if I tell the truth?” I whispered not turning around.

“Never”

“Yes. I’m scared” he turned me around, and I looked up to see his eyes brown. Not red. Brown.

“I’m sorry Bella. I’m sorry for everything. I was angry” he whispered touching my cheek, gently, like he was scared, that I would run.

“About?”

“Nothing” he muttered staring into my eyes.

I nodded. I turned around, about to walk to the door, when he stopped me.

“I was angry because I couldn’t mark you. Everyone was telling me to wait, but I can’t. It’s killing me from inside, when all these men look at you, like you’re fresh piece of meat. I don’t like it Bella. I thought that if I mark you, you’ll like me more, you listen to me more. I thought that if I mark you then everyone knows that you’re mine” I removed my hand from the handle, and turned to him.

“So this is all about you being possessive? Vincent you need to understand, that trust is the key to every relationship. If you don’t trust me, then what’s the point of this so called relationship? Mark me? So you want to claim me? I’m not stupid Vincent. This is all for you. So everyone knows that I belong to the great Vincent! No! I give up Vincent. I can’t do this anymore. This? Do you see this?” I pushed my sleeve up, showing him my blue- purple,covered hand.

“This! This is what you did! I don’t know you Vincent. I don’t know why you would do this. Just to claim me? No! I won’t let you! I won’t let you hurt me anymore Vincent. I won’t.” I whispered pulling my sleeve over my bruised hand.

“Be-”

“It’s Hailey” I muttered wiping my eyes.

I walked to the door and opened it to see everyone stood outside.

I walked past them all and upstairs to my room. I closed the door behind me and sat down on the floor.

I’m leaving.

I stood up, and opened the door, and walked back downstairs, to see everyone still in their places.

“Tyler, where is my car?” I asked and he looked up at me, as I was still on the steps.

“In the garage” I nodded

“Do you know any good place to sell it?”

“You don’t need money Hailey. We-” I shook my head at him.

“I’m leaving” everyone looked up at me.

Vincent walked out of the room, and looked at me

“So you’re just giving up?” He asked

“I’m not giving up Vincent. I’m running away from it” I stared at him.

“And I said it before Bella. I’ll chase”

“No. You’ll leave me alone. Forever” he walked up the steps towards me

“Do you really? Do you really want me to leave you alone?” He asked staring into my eyes.

I looked at Tyler.

“When can I sell it?” Vincent nodded.

“Okay. Okay Bella. Is this it?” He asked holding my chin gently, and turning my face so I was looking at him.

“Is this it Bella? I won’t chase you if you say yes” he whispered

“Yes” he nodded closing his eyes for a split second.

“Goodbye Bella” he kissed my cheek walking upstairs.

“Are you sure, Hailey?” Emily asked confused.

“Yes. Tyler can you please sell my car, I’ll pack my bags” I muttered running back upstairs.

I opened my room door to see Vincent inside my closet.

“I need something to survive” he smiled slightly, taking a black shirt.

Fuck.

“Do you need help packing? Do you know where you’re going?” He asked closing the door, to my closet.

“I’m going somewhere. I don’t know yet” he nodded

“Don’t go somewhere far just to be away from me. Go some place, that you know” he walked out of the door, with my shirt in his hand.

I had chills running throughy whole body.

Am I doing the right thing?

“Hailey” Rose sat on my bed.

“Rose?”

“I found you a pendant. Lucifer knows that there’s another pendant. And he’s on his way” she looked around the room.

“Now?” I was terrified

“Yes. Because he knows that the moment the pendant touches you,he won’t be able to kill you in months” she said standing up.

“Where is it?” I asked feeling a sudden breeze and the window opened.

She pulled a gold, and silver pendant out out of her bra and ran towards me.

“Ro-” she placed it around my neck, just as black smoke appeared infront of me.

As soon as the pendant touched my neck, the smoke disappeared.

“What was that?“I asked slowly, trying to calm my racing heart.

“Luficer” she tied the pendant.

“He’s smoke?”

“It’s a faster way of travelling” I nodded as Tyler walked into the room.

“I sold your car Hailey. May I ask one question?” I nodded

“Why do you want to leave? Is it because of Vincent? You can’t just leave him like this Hailey. You need to understand that mates need their other half. Vincent needs you”

“I want to leave Tyler. I can’t stay here. I wasn’t told that Vincent has anger issues. I wasn’t told that he was a vampire. Nothing. I don’t want him to lie to me” he nodded

“He’s your money” he handed me a bag.

“Who bought my car?” He chuckled walking out of the room, closing the door behind him.

What’s so funny about that?

I looked into that bag, and fuck, there was at least 50,000 dollars in here.

“Tyler” I walked out of the room

“Tyler” I shouted and he walked upstairs.

“This is too much” I started

“I know. But someone really loved your car, and they bought it. I didn’t name a price so they gave me what was in the bag” I nodded

“Oh” he nodded and walked back downstairs.

I turned around to see Layla staring at me.

“Are you really going?” She asked following me into the room.

“Yes”

“Where?”

“I don’t know”

“Why?”

“Because”

“Vincent?”

“He’s staying”

“Oh” she frowned sitting on the bed, as I started packing my clothes.

“Why?” She asked again.

“Because I want too” she nodded

“Will you call me?”

“No” she nodded

“I’ll, maybe see you” I shrugged

“Okay” she walked out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

I’m sorry Layla.

I packed all my bags, which took, about 30 minutes.

I grabbed both of my suitcases, and walked out of the room.

Walking downstairs, I noticed everyone stood there, next to the door.

Either, they’re sad that I’m going, or they can’t wait for me to leave.

Tyler chuckled, taking the suitcases off me.

“Tyler will drop you off” Mia said and I nodded.

“I’m sorry about Vincent, Mia. I know he’s your so-” she shook her head.

“It’s okay Hailey. As long as you’re happy” she smiled and I nodded.

Am I happy?

Emily hugged me tightly.

“I’ll miss you so much,Hailey. You better come back” I nodded, knowing that I won’t.

I said bye to Alec and walked outside to see Tyler waiting inside his car.

I sat inside, and wore my seat belt.

“Where are you going?” He asked starting the car.

“Florida.”
