Touch Me Alpha [#5]

Chapter 1

“Grandma, why do we have to live in the middle of the forest? We’ll hardly have Wifi” I sighed putting my suitcase in the car.

“Sweetie, you don’t always need wifi” she said and I nodded, knowing she was wrong.

Everyone needs wifi.

“How long of a drive is it?” I asked

“Only a couple of hours” I mentally groaned

“Okay. You sit inside, and I’ll get the remaining things, and lock the door” I said and she nodded, opening the door, and sitting inside.

I walked back to the three bedroom house, and lifted the last suitcase from the floor. I closed the door, and locked it, then took the keys out and stuffed them in my pocket.

Grabbing the suitcase, I walked toward the black Range Rover. Its the best car I have saved up for.

I pushed the suitcase in the trunk, and closed the door.

Getting into the the car, I wore my seat belt and looked at grandma.

“You ready?” I asked and she nodded

“Yeah. Are your friends going to come and say bye?” I shook my head.

“I already said bye to them yesterday at school” I put the key in the ignition and started it up.

Pulling out of the driveway, I turned on GPS and typed in Lockridge Falls.

I don’t really sure why grandma wants to go, but apparently grandad lived there first, and after he died, she’s always wanted to go but couldn’t because of me, and my school.

My parents died in a car accident, that’s what my grandma told me. I don’t really remember my parents because they died when I was 5 years old. And now I am 17.

Me and my grandma, live in a small town Carrington, it’s in Texas.

“Hailey, pay attention” Grandma called and I nodded, taking a left.

*******

“Grandma, are you sure this is the place?” I asked looking at trees, while driving past them.

“Yes Hailey. This is it. Just take a left, and we’ll see the house” she smiled slightly, staring ahead, anticipating for the house.

I followed her directions, and came straight ahead to a fairly big house. It was bigger than our last house. I parked the car, in the driveway, turning it off.

Grandma opened the door slowly, and stepped out, smiling at the house, with me behind her.

“This house has so many memories. Hailey, your mom lived here, most of her life. But when she married your dad, she left. Come on” she said walking up the steps and towards the door.

“Do you even have a key grandma?” I asked following her up a couple of steps

“Of course sweetie. Move the rock and there should be a key” she pointed to a rock next to her right foot.

“You left the key here?” I questioned bending down and removing the rock to see a small hole, with a key inside.

“Yes” she smiled down at me, as I stood up and handed her the key.

“But what if someone found it. Any thing could happen” I walked in after her.

“Oh Hailey, you worry too much. Everyone around here has their own houses”

“People live here?” I asked looking at a huge field outside.

“Yes they do” I nodded.

In front of me were a couple of brown sofas, with a small TV on the side. In front of the TV was a small table.

I followed grandma to another room, and watched as she turned to lights on, even though we didn’t need it. It was quite sunny outside.

“This is my favourite place” she pointed to an oak filled kitchen. Everything in this room was made out of oak.

“Hailey, sweetie, if you go upstairs, and towards your right you will see a room. It was your mother’s room, but you can have it” I nodded

“Oh and I have already applied you to a school near by. They have accepted you and will be sending in a few things for you.”

“Grandma I don’t think I should go to school. You’ll be all alone, and God knows if a bear comes and eats you!” I exclaim

“You make a big fuss out of nothing Hailey. There’s no bears in these woods”

“They aren’t?” She nodded

“There’s nothing in these woods. Now go bring in the suitcases, and the boxes, so we can start cleaning this place up” she ordered and I nodded walking out of the house.

I actually like the house, it’s bigger than our older one, and it makes me feel at home.

“Grandma! How far is the school?” I shouted opening the trunk and pulling out the suitcases.

“20 minutes” I heard a voice behind me.

I turned around to see a man standing there. He seemed to be in 25′s, and he had a bag in his hand.

“Hi” I waved slowly as grandma walked out of the house slowly.

“What did you want Hail-” she smiled at the guy.

“Hi, can I help you?” She asked walking down the steps and towards me.

“Hi, my name is Tyler, and I live close by. My son was meant to come and drop off some school supplies but he has football practise”

“Son?” I choked out and he smiled at me slightly.

“Yes. My son. I think you might be going to his school.” He said handing me the bag.

“What? How old are you?” Grandma hit me on the head.

“Hailey! You don’t ask questions like that” she nudged me

“It’s okay. I’m 40 years” Grandma froze as well.

“Fuck” I exclaimed and quickly covered my mouth.

“I’m so sorry, it’s just that I thought you were 25, or so. Who would have thought you were double the age?”

“I still have 10 years left then” he smirked

Stupid brain

“I’m so sorry about Hailey” Grandma apologised

“It’s okay, I get it a lot. Do you guys need any help bringing things inside?” He said and grandma smiled

“What a gentleman. Yes please, you can help Hailey” he nodded motioning behind him and 3 guys walked out.

Why bring bodyguard’s, we weren’t going to kill him!

Tyler chuckled looking at me, and walking towards me.

“Don’t” I put my hand up as he took a box from behind me.

“I like your thought” he chuckled again walking inside with grandma, as the other 3 guys walked towards my car and took things inside.

He can fucking read minds!!!
