Chapter 225
Chapter 225 Invite Me to Your Wedding
Joseph spoke, his face serious as he quickly approached Deborah.
Sitting down beside her, he carefully examined her from head to toe, finding no signs of injury.
The pool of blood on the ground was quite large, so it probably didn't belong to Deborah.
But soon, Joseph figured something out.
Just as he breathed a sigh of relief, his face quickly turned unpleasant again.
He gently asked Deborah, "Don't panic, what happened?"
Everything had already come to an end, and Deborah didn't want him to worry any further or act impulsively.
But keeping it a secret from him won't be easy, as he's not easily fooled.
She responded, "Mathias had too much to drink and accidentally entered the wrong room. However, I immediately called for help, and he was stopped before he could leave."
Joseph noticed the bloodstains on Adrian's hand and understood the general situation.
"Are the bloodstains on the ground Mathias'?"
Deborah nodded, "Yes."
Joseph, concerned, asked, "Are you alright?"
Deborah reassured him, "Don't worry, everything's fine. As soon as he came in, I called for help. Adrian was nearby and came over immediately."
Adrian thought about what had just happened, and still felt a lingering fear.
This took place at Moxley Manor, and fortunately, the Moxley family was all present. He rushed in without a moment's delay.
If it had been somewhere else, and Deborah couldn't find someone to help in time, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
He looked at Joseph with a cold expression, "Don't leave her alone anywhere in the future, it's dangerous at night. Speaking of which, she has offended the Black family now, hasn't she? Be on guard against incidents like Chandler's happening again."
No one could guarantee that Jane and Gerald wouldn't cause trouble for Deborah because of Chandler's situation.
Moreover, it was plain to see that Deborah was indeed very beautiful.
It was hard to ensure that those who met her wouldn't be tempted.
The more he spoke, the more worried he became, feeling as if danger was lurking everywhere.
Adrian repeatedly urged, after reminding Joseph, he also reminded Deborah.
Without even realizing it, he spoke with a tone similar to that of an elderly father.
It was rare for Joseph to be on the same page with him, but he nodded earnestly, "You're right, I'll be more careful in
the future."
Over at the Black family, especially with Jane, he really should be on his guard.
Chapter 22-vite Me to Your Wedding

It seems that tonight, this Mathias cannot be overlooked. We must pay more attention to him in the future
It was almost midnight, and the Moxley family didn't stay much longer. They advised Deborah to get some rest and assured her that she could call or ask for help anytime if needed.
Afterwards, several people left first, leaving only Adrian and Joseph behind.
Adrian got up, intending to leave, and Alyssa immediately wanted to go with him. "Adrian, I'll go with you. I'll sleep in another bedroom."
Adrian immediately defended himself, unhappily blocking her way.
"You can sleep with Deborah, you've already taken off your coat and it's cold outside. Why is it that ever since Joseph came along, you can't even spend one night sleeping with your own mother?" Alyssa had been by his side for the past three years, and she hadn't experienced even the slightest bit of grievance
He treated Alyssa like his own daughter, believing that girls should be a bit willful.
He didn't want Alyssa to be too sensible, because once Deborah had Joseph, she would consciously distance herself from her own mother.
Joseph immediately replied awkwardly, "Mrs. Moxley has already arranged a bedroom for me, so I'll stay next door. Alyssa, you just rest well with your mom and go to sleep early."
Alyssa was a bit reserved in front of him, nodded, and didn't insist on going out anymore.
Joseph and Adrian left the bedroom and walked further down the hallway outside. It was only then that Adrian stopped, turned around, and blocked Joseph's path.
"Let's have a chat."
Joseph didn't mind. "Alright, you can talk. Do you want to talk here?"
Adrian didn't really like him, but this time, he wasn't planning on starting a conflict. Instead, he genuinely wanted to have a conversation with him.
Adrian responded, "I only have a few words to say, and I can say them right here. I've thought it through, and I don't plan on arguing with you anymore for Deborah."
Joseph didn't react much, and nodded a bit perfunctorily, "Noted."
Adrian originally thought that he would at least be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
Seeing his reaction, she expressed her dissatisfaction, "I was just giving you a way out. If we really compete, you might not be a match for me. But if you ever treat Deborah poorly in the future, I'll still take her away from you."
Joseph nodded slightly, "Noted."
He had a facial expression that said, "Do you have anything else to say?"
Adrian couldn't stand this aspect of Joseph - apart from when he was in front of Deborah, Joseph always liked to act
superior and talk down to others.
Putting on airs, acting aloof and indifferent, as if he was so impressive.
So, whenever Adrian saw him, he felt particularly annoyed.
Adrian had only spoken a few words with him, and he was already getting a bit annoyed.
Ip to Your Wedding.
After holding back his emotions, he spoke again, "There's one more thing. Now that you're with Deborah, you must not treat Alyssa unfairly in the future.
Alyssa relies on her mother, Deborah, so you need to give them enough space to bond as mother and daughter. You can't always be around Deborah. Alyssa is young and shy, there are some things she might not feel comfortable telling you, but it could make her feel upset and wronged."
Joseph then became serious and solemnly replied, "You're right. When it comes to taking care of children, I do lack experience and there are many things I haven't done well.
From now on, I will reflect and make amends. Deborah is with me, and I should treat Alyssa as my biological daughter. I will do my best to take care of Alyssa's life and emotions." Adrian had just seen how perfunctory he was and thought he wouldn't even respond with a few words.
I didn't expect him to suddenly become so serious and sincerely say so much.
Adrian felt a bit embarrassed, realizing that he was being somewhat petty, worrying that Joseph might not treat Alyssa well in the future.
Adrian finally felt relieved and said, "You have to keep your word. If Alyssa ever feels wronged in the future, I, as her uncle, will definitely not let you off easily."
Joseph nodded, "If that day ever comes, feel free to come at me. I won't fight back or retaliate with words."
He knew very well how important Deborah was to Alyssa.
Not only was Adrian unwilling to let Alyssa be wronged, but Deborah was even more so.
Adrian's expression finally softened, and he said earnestly, "Although Deborah has been married and has a child, she
is still the best. Alyssa is also the best, and you must cherish her."
Somehow, Joseph suddenly felt as if he were meeting his in-laws.
His body instinctively straightened up, and he vowed earnestly, "I promise, I will."
Adrian finally let him off the hook, "Fine, since you know what's good for you, we'll leave it at that for now. When you marry Deborah, make sure to send me an invitation. I want to sit with the bride's family.' He knew that Deborah had no parents or family.
So Adrian, along with the Moxley family, supported her and made sure no one looked down on her.
Joseph nodded. "Alright."
Adrian walked toward his bedroom, took a few steps, and then turned back, "By the way, what time are you guys going to the airport tomorrow morning? Is Evelyn really going with you?"
