To My Shattered Soul

Chapter Destiny

They rushed out and ran far away from that house, she turned back and watched her house for the last time.

The symbol where Jordan was lying broke and a tornado made of salt swirled around him, and after a silence, a blast echoed through the area and the entire house collapsed in front of them.

With the sound of the blast, Jill closed her eyes and broke down into tears.

Right then I felt as if a shock struck me from inside, I opened my mouth inhaling deeply.

Peter who was resting his head on his wrist beside me startled “Daisy!” His eyes widened.

He wrapped his arms around me as soon as he was sure that I really am alive.

“You scared the hell out of me!” He couldn’t even speak clearly, he started having hiccups crying nonstop.

So this was the day I was born again! Doctors were calling it a miracle, and even we had no idea how that happened until a week passed, Peter came and supported me with one of my hand to get me up from the bed and stepped away from me, I stood up slowly as I walked like a baby who just attempted to walk for the first time.

He let me try to walk, as I reached him and lost my balance, he held me.

He laughed, and so did I that’s when a nurse came in to tell me that a woman wants to see me.

When she entered the room it was Jill, she took short and slow steps toward my bed, I was looking at her without blinking, she was nervous and confused.

She sat beside me on my bed, “I know you must be thinking who am I” Jill said.

“Jill! I know you are Jill…” I smiled “Practically we don’t know each other… but technically we know each other more than anyone else,” I said and she realized that I must have known everything already.

“Jordan?” I asked when she pinched the middle of her eyebrows and released a painful sigh, she nodded.

“I am so sorry” I hugged her, and she cried on my shoulder until she felt much lighter, I gently rubbed her back.

“Some people say, there’s morning to every night, but what about the damage that night did to us?” She sobbed.

“With love and a hand on your shoulder, you can even fight those demons, believe me, experience speaks” I whispered, and surprisingly… something encouraging was coming from me! It’s all because of Peter, I looked at him and smiled.

“Thank you for saving me” I wiped her tears, and she smiled.

Turns out Rehan and Athena made him see the bedroom instead of the basement and by putting him inside the symbol he made by himself reacted and filled the entire curse in his own body.

They found parts of his body from multiple places, and with the help of Alec police found out the leader of the cult, as expected it was Ian! But when he was being taken away by the police he somehow escaped them and ran into a car, he wanted to kill himself but unfortunately, the last thing we heard was that he will never be able to walk again.

Poor Ian can’t run from the cops anymore, instead, he’s stuck in his wheelchair, I hope he learned his lesson, I feel sorry for him because there will be no miracle for him!

But this is what happens when you do something bad to someone! You reap what you sow.

Sooner or later, the hammer of justice does strike… and when it does? There’s no shelter, no miracle that could save you.

After tests, I discovered the reports I got when I lost my baby were fake. It must have been Jordan who generated those reports.

It took me almost a year to fully recover, but I’m glad I did.

Well, that’s all in the past, we have a daughter now, we named her Destiny, because all that we’ve been through led us to her, we were destined to have her.

Peter is in another room playing with her, and I was just done preparing for today when I decided to fill up my diary, which I found a few days back, dad gifted it to me when I was 14 or something, it was covered with dust?

So I picked up my pain and I had no idea how many hours I’d spent writing the last few pages.

What was I preparing for? Oh, we have been invited to Jill’s wedding, guess who she’s wedding? Rehan! The way I found my peace in Peter… she found hers in Rehan.

She finally moved on from her past and stepped into the future, where I hope nothing bad will ever lurk around a thousand miles around her.

I must leave as they have been waiting for me, but before I go, I want to write a few words.

To my shattered soul, thank you for breaking into millions of pieces! For giving me a chance to rebuild myself, stronger, better! Thank you for making me go through everything, so I learned to love people the way they are, to learn to love myself, and because of all that I’ve been through, I have a husband, who loves me unconditionally, a daughter who will be stronger than me, who is indeed stronger than me, and now to my daughter.

Destiny! I hope one day you will read it when you need it the most! know that we love you more than anything and we always will, this world you live in… is beautiful.

It has it’s flaws too, but when the world is throwing everything at you from every direction just remember that you can take it! And if it breaks you remember that it will rebuild you stronger! And when you think you are alone.

I promise... you will find someone, that one who will love you for who you are, and will do things just to see you smile, maybe you will experience love at first sight, or maybe… you will find the love after many years, like me! but whenever it does… believe me it’ll be worth it! so hold on to it, cherish it! Live the best out of your live.

Love, Mom!
