Chapter 1219 Forget I Said Anything
Lynette watched as Eric fell unconscious, feeling a flurry of emotions. "Is he...dead?" she asked apprehensively.
"No, he's just passed out from the tranquilizer gun we just used. Jenny says that someone like him needs to face the full consequences of his actions through the legal system. He shouldn't be granted a quick and easy death," Leonard replied before ordering Eric to be taken away.
Before leaving, Leonard turned back to Lynette and said, "You can rest assured that you won't see Eric again in your lifetime unless something unexpected happens."
Lynette was stunned, tears blurring her vision as she watched Leonard's figure draw further away. She was unable to utter even a single word.
Graham approached her and pulled her into his arms, comforting her with a soft voice, "Nettie, it's all over now. From now on, you can live the life you want."
"Is it really over?" Lynette asked, still somewhat dazed.
Eric, that arrogant Eric... Was he really caught for good and would never be able to torment her again?
Graham nodded firmly. "Yes, it's all over."
Looking slightly worried at her pale complexion, Graham added, "Nettie, don't think about it anymore. Go get some rest."
Lynette shook her head. "I'm not tired. Since it's all over, I want to go out and take a look."
"Okay, I'll accompany you," Graham agreed.
Lynette hadn't left Walter Castle for the past few days, mainly because Jenny was worried about her safety outside and had instructed them to stay home. Now that Eric had been captured and there was no longer any danger, they could go out at will.
When Jenny and Alec rushed back and learned that they'd already gone out, they were somewhat helpless.
"Well, at least it's better than constantly being stuck in the past," Jenny expressed. She'd rescued Lynette so that she could be free and not be sad and miserable for the rest of her life.
"Do you have confidence in dealing with Eric?" Alec asked, hoping to help Jenny in some way.
However, Jenny clearly didn't need any help. "Don't worry. I've already arranged everything. Eric will never appear before anyone again."
Even if they didn't bring up the incident where Eric brought armed men to storm Walter Castle, his previous crimes of having murdered many people were enough to have him executed countless times. This time, he was utterly doomed.
"My dear Jenny, you're so capable. You make me feel like I'm somewhat useless." Sometimes, he wished that Jenny would rely on him more.
Jenny rolled her eyes at him and retorted, "If you like someone gentle and weak, Faye fits your requirements. You should go find her."
Alec was instantly rendered speechless.
"Forget I said anything." Alec covered his mouth to show that he would keep quiet and not speak carelessly again.
Seeing that, Jenny stopped teasing him. She'd always been tough and wouldn't change just because she was with Alec. Alec should have known this by now.
Graham and Lynette returned from a walk around the streets of Bardoff City and saw Jenny and Alec with smiles on their faces in the living room.
"Jenny, Eric has been caught," Graham said excitedly to her.
Jenny nodded. She'd rushed back because she heard about the good news earlier. "You can rest assured now. No one will stop you from being together anymore."
"Thank you, Jenny." Lynette looked at Jenny. Although she was still very unfamiliar with this daughter of hers, at that moment, she was glad that she'd chosen to give birth to her.
