Celia shrugged innocently, a hint of sarcasm flashing in her eyes.
“But you’re the precious little princess of the Leif family. If I frame you, Mr. Leif won’t let me go!”
“He will!”
Henry’s eyes turned cold. He pulled her into his embrace, staring at Daniel sternly, saying, “If anything happens to her, the Leif family will no longer exist.”
Celia’s heart warmed; she enjoyed the feeling of leaning against him.
In this world, aside from her few close female friends, it was probably only Henry who treated her sincerely.
In her past life, she was also foolish. She fought against him for those scumbags from the Leif family.
Daniel trembled when Henry stared at him, but he smiled as he said, “Celia is also a daughter of the Leif family. How could I harm her?”
Celia used to protect the Leif family in the past, so he had no worries that Henry would make a move against them. He forgot how ruthless this man was.
Thinking about his impulsive actions just now made him scared.
If he offended Henry because of this incident and caused trouble for the Leif family, it doesn’t the loss.

Molly, who was also frightened by Henry’s gaze, timidly put away her resentful gaze and pitifully said, “Sister, no matter what, I am still your sister. How could you bribe outsiders to slander me?”
“Bribe? Ms. Leif, you probably don’t know who Jenny is.”
Before Celia could answer, a wealthy woman said, “Jenny is a legendary journalist in the entertainment industry, a myth in the world of reporters!”
“She has written countless news articles, ranging from trivial gossip in the entertainment industry to major domestic and international events, and none of them are false.”
“Countless well–known company owners have offered her large sums of money to write news articles, but she has rejected every single one because she never accepts bribes from anyone.”
“She once said that there is no news in this world that she doesn’t want to report and no news that she cannot uncover. How dare you accuse her of being bribed to report fake news?”
“Ms. Leif, ignorance is a disease that needs to be cured.”
After listening to the woman’s explanation, Molly collapsed to the ground, unable to utter a word in
response.
She knew the image she had painstakingly built over the past decade was ruined!
“Molly, happy birthday! This is the birthday gift I got for you. I hope you like it.

As everyone criticised Molly, a cheerful voice suddenly echoed through the hall.

Molly’s eyes lit up when she saw Maya, who had arrived late. It was as if she had found a lifesaver; she tightly grabbed Maya’s wrist while receiving the gift.
“Maya, what should we do? Everyone knows now!”
Maya patted her shoulder and whispered, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.”
After saying that, she walked quickly to Daniel and whispered, “Uncle, if you don’t dismiss the guests now, Molly might never be able to hold her self–confidence again.”
She hadn’t finished her plan, so she wasn’t planning to come today.
She didn’t expect Molly to be foolish enough to engage in that kind of activity with John in the private room, and it was even captured on video. Because of this, she had no choice but to come.
After all, relying solely on the Leif family probably wouldn’t handle this matter properly.
“Maya, you finally decided to come and acknowledge your relatives. I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.”
Just as Daniel was about to dismiss the guests, an abrupt voice suddenly came from the hall.
Maya was slightly surprised but quickly recovered and furrowed her brow. “I don’t know you and what you’re talking about. I came to the Leif family today only to celebrate Molly’s birthday.”
It was strange. Maya had yet to disclose her background to anyone before successfully setting up the situation. How did this person know?
Today, Molly’s reputation was utterly destroyed. If she returned to the Leif family now, undoubtedly, the Leif family would choose to support her, a daughter with a relatively stable reputation.
Molly couldn’t even tolerate an adopted Celia. How could she possibly accept her in this situation?
Although she was also a daughter of the Leif family, she could never match the twenty–one years of affection between Molly and the Leif family. Molly would face difficulties in the Leif family if she sincerely slandered her.
Today was not the best time to return to the Leif family.
However, the man was determined to make her return to the Leif family at this time.
He took out a document and said, “Maya, I went to the hospital specifically to obtain the results of the paternity test for you. How can you say you don’t know me?”
Maya’s eyebrows suddenly twitched, and she instinctively looked at Celia, only to see the latter looking at her with a smug smile. She seemed to suddenly understand something.
This time, she had underestimated Celia. After plotting against her for so long, she didn’t expect to be outsmarted in return.
Maya was taken aback and hurriedly obtained the paternity test results.
But before her hand could touch the document. Daniel snatched it away..

Daniel opened the document with a serious expression, and the first thing that caught his eye was the word “Genetic Similarity: 99%”
As he scrolled down, the age, blood type, and date of birth were almost identical to his missing daughter.
The most striking detail was the Rowan Hospital seal at the bottom.
Rowan Hospital was the most renowned paternity testing institution, known for its fairness and refusal to accept payment for its services. The credibility of their test results had never been questioned.
Daniel instantly believed in the paternity test result. He quickly closed the document and scrutinised Maya closely.
Upon careful observation, he suddenly noticed that Maya’s facial features resembled his own.
He couldn’t help but feel overjoyed. He didn’t care whether Maya had orchestrated this scene herself. All he knew was that he urgently needed an opportunity to turn the situation around, and Maya was that opportunity!
However, Daniel didn’t realise that he overlooked crucial details in the document because of his hasty actions.
After being married for many years, Amelia also immediately understood Daniel’s thoughts.
She strode forward and embraced Maya with tears welling up in her eyes. She said, “Maya, you’re finally back! We’ve been searching for you for these eighteen years!”
“It’s wonderful that you’re back!”
Daniel patted Maya’s shoulder and declared loudly, “From today onwards, you are the young miss of the Leif family. You shall be called Maya Leif!”
Things had already developed to this point, and no matter how reluctant Maya was, she had to return to the Leif family.
She nodded and smiled softly, saying, “Dad, Mom, thank you for your willingness to accept me.”
“I don’t accept it!”
Molly, who naturally saw through Daniel’s intentions, glared at Maya resentfully, shouting, “Maya, you have such malicious intentions! I thought you were a good friend, but you want to move into my house and take my place!”
“If I had known that you approached me with such motives, we would never be friends!”
