Time to Realize His

Chapter CHAPTER 17

Chapter 17 Why Can’t You Try to Like Me?

Henry loosened his tie impatiently. “Even if she doesn’t like me anymore, she is still my wife. How can Henry Holton’s wife live in another man’s house?”

Huh, if I don’t go and catch her, that girl will probably end up staying with John.

He took out his phone to ask Zen to check Celia’s location, but suddenly noticed two dozen missed calls and unanswered text messages,

His pupils contracted, and his slightly drunk mind instantly sober up.

This was the first time Celia had called him so many times after an argument. Did he misunderstand something about her?

“Ethan, if you drag me to drink again, you can go directly to Freiden to mine coal!”

He glared fiercely at Ethan and picked up his suit jacket before quickly leaving.

“Huh?”

Ethan watched Henry leave in confusion, his face filled with innocence.

What’s going on?

It was Henry, who was being bullied, who dragged him to drink today. How did it become his fault? He’s the one who receives unfair judgement here!

Henry originally planned to go directly to the company, but then he thought that Celia wouldn’t be able to find him there and would probably go straight home. So he turned the car around and headed home.

“Mr. Henry? Why do you come back alone?”

Who knew that after seeing him, Peter looked at him with a puzzled expression and asked, “Does Madam come back with you?”

Henry’s face darkened. “She hasn’t come back?”

Peter nodded. “Madam hasn’t come back after leaving with you in the morning.”

Henry, who was taken aback, quickly turned the car around to go to the company.

“Celia, will you be at the company?”

Please don’t let me find you with John again. Otherwise, I don’t know what I will do.

Just as Henry arrived at the entrance of the company, he saw Celia sitting on the ground with her arms wrapped around her body and her head resting on top. She was asleep.

Looking at her pitiful figure curled up in the corner, a complicated expression flashed in Henry’s eyes.

It seemed like this was the first time Celia had coaxed him. Has she changed, or does she have other motives?

He sighed. A hundred thoughts ran through his mind when he draped his coat over Celia’s shoulders. After that, he gently carried her into the car, softly caressing the contours of her face. His expression was dark

and unclear.

Celia, no matter what your motives are. I won’t let you go!

Celia, who seemed to sense something, slowly opened her eyes.

“Henry?”

Henry’s body stiffened, his once gentle gaze covered with icy coldness, staring directly at her.

“What’s wrong? Aren’t you disappointed that the person who came to isn’t your beloved John?”

pick you

Surrounded by Henry’s powerful aura, Celia’s body trembled uncontrollably.

She lowered her head and whispered, “No! I didn’t want John to come pick me up. I’ve always wanted to

see you!”

“Huh, you wanted to see me?” Henry sneered coldly. “If you wanted to see me, why did you secretly go to meet John?”

“No, Henry, I.

Brak!

Before Celia could explain, Henry’s fist slammed forcefully on the back of the chair behind her, scaring her into silence.

Uh–oh, Henry’s angry expression is so scary.

Henry leaned his arms on the chair, his crimson eyes staring intensely at her.

“Celia, what’s so special about John? What makes you like him so much? I’m more handsome and wealthier than him. Why can’t you try to like me?”

Celia shrugged and spoke softly, “Okay, I won’t like that scumbag anymore. I’ll only like Henry.”

Perhaps it was the effect of alcohol. As Henry gazed at the delicate lips before him, his eyes darkened, and an inexplicable impulse surged within him.

He placed his hand on the girl’s shoulder and pressed his warm lips against hers, using his tongue to trace the contours of her mouth.

Celia blinked as she looked at Henry’s handsome face, suddenly so close to her. She obediently wrapped her arms around his neck and responded to his kiss.

When Celia was almost out of breath, Henry reluctantly released her.

He gently rubbed the girl’s moist lips that had just been kissed; a hint of coldness dissipated from his body.

“If you dare to go see John again, I’ll break your legs!”

Celia shrank back and asked cautiously, “Can you accompany me to meet him?”

Seeing Henry’s previously relaxed expression turn cold once again, she quickly explained, “Mainly because it’s more convenient to have a handsome and wealthy husband like you to support me.”

Henry’s expression finally softened. “Okay,”

I will accompany her. If this girl dared to cross the line, I would simply carry her back home and wouldn’t let her out

Celia finally breathed a sigh of relief and leaned against his chest, whispering, “Henry, the situation is not what you saw. I didn’t rekindle my old feelings with John. I wanted to go home to meet you, but he suddenly appeared and clung onto me, which led to your misunderstanding.”

“I wanted to explain to you, but I couldn’t find you. I went to your company to look for you, but they wouldn’t let me in. I had no choice but to wait here.”

“I’m sorry, Henry. I know I’ve hurt you a lot in the past, but I truly realise my mistakes. Can you forgive

me?”

As she spoke, Celia couldn’t help but tear up.

She didn’t want to cry, but for some reason, the thought of being abandoned by Henry made her feel so heartbroken that she couldn’t hold back her tears

Seeing the young girl crying in his arms, struggling to catch her breath, Henry’s heart completely softened. How could I continue to be angry with her?

He gently wiped away Celia’s tears and softly comforted her, “Good girl, I’m not angry with you anymore. Please don’t cry, okay?”

The more Henry comforted her, the more aggrieved she felt, and the more she wanted to cry.

She tightly held onto Henry’s waist and sobbed, revengefully wiping her tears and snot on his expensive

suit.

Henry, who had always been a neat freak, didn’t mind at all. He just comforted her while gently patting her

back.

After crying in Henry’s arms for a while, Celia suddenly took out her phone and showed him the photos she had taken earlier.

“Look, after you left, I beat him myself. Henry, believe me, I really want to live a good life with you!

“Did you beat him?”

Henry raised an eyebrow; he looked surprised.

In the past, whenever he scolded John, Celia would desperately defend that man. However, now she was willing to physically beat him. It seemed like she had truly changed.

Celia blinked her eyes and pitifully raised her slender arm, saying, “Henry, look at my skinny arms and legs. How could I possibly win against John, that scumbag?”
