Thrown Away

It had been close to a month since the incident at the zoo. For a week Nikora had turned up every day to try and get Finn to see him but she refused to open the door. Finn had been paying extra money to the rent when she had it. She had also been looking for places to move to so she could move out of the house. She had even dropped the last of her savings into Connie's mailbox for the things she had brought from Jim.

Yesterday she had gone to meet Myles for the first time since moving out of Zane and Sunny's house. He knew straight away she was upset. When he asked what was wrong she hadn't told him. She didn't want him getting involved. Myles had begged her to let him know what was going on. Eventually she told him about what had happened but had refused his help when he offered for her to move back to the club. "Myles I am not part of your life, how can you explain me moving into the club?" Finn had asked which caused Myles to get embarrassed. He explained the changes he had made and how he broke up with his boyfriend because of him not getting how important Finn and Jai were. Myles then asked Finn about her and Nikora prior to the falling out.

Myles could see how happy Finn had been when she had spent time with Nikora. He saw how happy she was when he had taken her out on a date and how he had treated Finn like she was the most important person in the world. "Finn, Nikora cares for you. He saw how toxic things were for you and tried to help. Yes he lied about the rent, but he did it thinking he was helping" Myles had told her. "Nikora made you happy don't throw that away cause some chick has a big mouth" Myles had said before they went there seperate ways.

When she had got home that afternoon Connie was just pulling up. Finn had avoided her and Jim in the last month too. "Hey Finn and Jai. It's nice to see you both" Connie had said when Finn was out of the car. Finn had been embarrassed because it had been very clear what she had been doing. "Umm hi" Finn had mumbled. Connie said nothing but pulled Finn into a hug, "don't be embarrassed silly girl. I am right here if you need anything" Connie had said before kissing Jai's cheek and going into her house.

Finn had done a lot of thinking that night including about what Steph had been saying to her at playgroup. She had tried to stay clear of Steph but Steph wouldn't take a hint and just kept walking after Finn chatting away. The first week after the incident, she had told Finn how angry Nikora had been at Jo Jo. Buzz was also furious with her for running her mouth. Turns out Jo Jo had wanted her cousin to be with Nikora. The second week she told Finn how upset Nikora was. The third and fourth week she begged Finn to talk to her and Nikora but Finn just kept walking away.

Finn hadn't slept that night after running over what Myles and Steph had said to her. At 7am she ran over to Connie's house knocking on the door. When Connie answered Finn couldn't help it. "I think I stuffed up everything" Finn rushed out. "I need to get back to Jai before he wakes but I need help" Finn rushed out before running back to her house.

Connie got herself dressed and headed over to Finn's place. Finn had just finished breast feeding Jai. "Ok tell me what you think you stuffed up" Connie stated. Finn launched into everything that had happened at the zoo causing Connie to get angry at the stupid woman Jo Jo. She also then said how she blocked Nikora's number on her phone so they had no contact and had being paying more money for the house because she wasn't a charity. She told her about what Myles has said and how she felt about Nikora.

At the end Connie sat quietly and Finn was nervous. "I can't fix it can I?" Finn asked. "Oh we are going to fix it alright and then I'll give that stupid woman an arse whooping" Connie said. "Now first, you are going to get yourself dressed like you are going on a date. Then you are going to cook lunch for two while I ring Nikora and tell him there is an issue here at the house that he needs to sort out. I am going to take Jai to my place and you and Nikora are going to enjoy lunch and talk to each other. That boy needs to learn to communicate better but he really adores you and Jai, Finn. He would never do anything to purposely hurt you" Connie stated.

Finn feed Jai his breakfast and got to work cleaning the house. She set up the table with a few candles and raced to the shop to get food to make Nikora steak with mushroom sauce which Connie had told her was his favourite meal. She also got some flowers and chocolates. She just hoped Nikora would like it and speak to her after she had ghosted him for the month.

When she returned home, Connie was waiting for Jai. "Now Nikora will be here in half an hour" Connie had said before picking up Jai. Finn kissed Jai bye and quickly got herself dressed. She made a salad and quickly put the steaks on to cook.

Nikora was not looking forward to going over to Finn's place to fix the sink. He knew the minute he saw her, he would want to kiss her and hold her. He missed her and Jai but she had made it clear that she didn't want him. Nikora knocked on the door looking at the ground and taking a few deep breaths so he could prepare to see Finn.

Finn opened the door wearing a black racer back mini dress. Nikora swallowed hard. "I'm here to fix the sink" Nikora mumbled. Finn nodded and opened the door wide. Nikora walked through to the dining room and stopped dead. His heart dropped seeing the place looked like she had set up for a date. "I'll make it quick, wouldn't want to interrupt" Nikora spat.

Finn was fiddling with her hands and jumped when Nikora barked at her about not interrupting. Finn realised Nikora thought this was for someone else. "Nikora" Finn called. "It will go quicker if you just tell me what the problem is" Nikora replied keeping his back to Finn. "Nikora" Finn said louder this time.

Nikora took some deep breaths before turning to face Finn. Finn was fiddling with her fingers. "Umm there is nothing wrong with the sink" Finn whispered. "Oh so you call me over to rub it in my face that you are seeing someone" Nikora said while shaking his head. "Unbelievable" he whispered to himself. "No, I asked Connie to call you over because I wanted to see you. I didn't think you would answer if I called" Finn replied before shrugging her shoulders.

Nikora looked at Finn unsure what she meant. "Why?" Nikora asked wanting to know why he was here. "I wanted to apologise for what I said and then ghosting you for a month. I was wrong" Finn replied. "I like you and I thought you liked me until Jo Jo" Finn stated. That's all Nikora needed to hear before racing over to Finn and pulling her close kissing her like the starved man he was.

Finn melted into the kiss just as the buzzer on the stove went off. "Ignore it" Nikora stated wanting to keep kissing Finn. He felt like he could breath again while she was in his arms. "That's your lunch I made" Finn mumbled into Nikora's lips. Nikora pulled away smiling. "You made lunch?" For me?" Nikora asked. Finn nodded, "your favourite. Will you have lunch with me Nikora?" Finn asked. "You mean like a date?" Nikora asked while smiling big at Finn. Finn nodded her head yes, she was bright red and worried Nikora would tell her no.

Finn grabbed the food out of the oven and began to serve it. "I need to see my little mate, can I get him?" Nikora asked while holding Finn so her back was to his chest. "Connie has him for a few hours" Finn mumbled getting embarrassed that she assumed after eating they might have alone time together. "Are you blushing Finn? Are you going to seduce me with your food and then use me?" Nikora's laughed out. Finn couldn't get any redder, her entire face was bright red including her ears and she quickly shook her head no. "You can use me any time beautiful" Nikora whispered in Finn's ear before taking the plates to the table.
