Kiani’s Mindlink: “I’m coming, Rocco!”

In Kiani’s head: Why a mansion? Don't rich people like damn cottages? (in the lockup)

Mrs. Hathrone: “LET ME OUT! Don't just stand there. Let me out!”

Brooke: “But I don't have the key, my ‘darling’.”

In Brooke’s head: I use my mom's favorite patronizing endearment she tells me all the time back at her. It felt good.

Mrs. Hawthorne: “LET ME OUT THIS INSTANT YOUNG LADY!”

Brooke: “Looks like Kiani took the key with her. Do you have a spare dear mother of mine? How did she escape, huh? I guess you're easy to outwit. I do it all the time.”

Mrs. Hawthorne: “When I get out of this Brooke, I swear-”

Brooke: “I can't believe all I wanted was not to be a disappointment to you or dad. But you're a disappointment to me. I'm sure dad will find you soon. Or not, I really don't care. Oh, I'm leaving by the way. I have a new life waiting for me. (Brooke leaves)”

Mrs. Hawthorne: “BROOKE HAWTHORNE !!”

Brooke: “Is dead to you. (outside Hawthrone’s house). The best way out is that way. I owe you for not killing me. What did you do with the key?”

Kiani: “I must have dropped it somewhere. (Brooke laughs)”

Brooke: “I hope you threw it in a lake.”

Kiani: “What's your game, Brooke?”

Brooke: “No game. You better go. Fate will be back soon. She's not easy to kill. Maybe we're all crazy? Cya later Kiani. Wolf shifter. Who would’ve thought?”

In Kiani’s head: Maybe I shouldn't have let her go. Brooke never does anything for anyone. Brooke always has her agenda but I must get out of here.

Rocco’s Mindlink: “Kiani! (in the woods)”

Tao: “KIANI!”

Kiani: “Did you miss me?”

Tao: “I'm happy you're okay.”

Kiani: “What’s wrong Tao?!”

Tao: “Rocco’s waiting for you. I'll keep a lookout. Rocco will tell you everything.”

Kai: “Kiani, time to go.”

Kiani: “Tao, tell me what's going on.”

Tao: “It’s River. She's dying.”

Kai: “Incoming guys! (other side of the woods)”

In Kylo’s head: Her magic is strong. I can't shift with the risk of the police. As planned.

In Fate’s head: If they both decide to shift I'm in trouble. (Rocco pushes Fate)

Rocco: “We need to go. Kiani’s waiting for me. They have a dead body to explain.”

Billie Jean’s Wolf: “Kiani’s safe.”

In Billie Jean’s head: Thank God. (in the basement)

Billie Jean: “We have Kiani back.”

Embry: “Why are you here? To kill me or are you waiting for your alpha? Coward.”

Billie Jean: “No. I'm about to do something I’ll forever regret. But my wolf wills it.”

Embry: “What are you doing?! (Billie Jean unchains Embry)”

Billie Jean: “Now’s your chance to kill me. Like you swore to do.”

In Emry’s head: I don't understand. Is this a trick? I feel my insides twist. I did swear to kill her. That hate that should be so firmly embedded in me is missing. The hate I should be feeling is not there for this wolf. It’s something else. My almost dormant inner wolf knows it too, which makes me furious. Why the hell is she letting me go?

In Billie Jean’s head: I think I've lost my mind. I'm crazy. But my wolf wants me to trust her. He hasn't burned me alive yet.

Billie Jean: “What are you waiting for? If you're not going to kill me you need to go before the rest of the pack comes back.”

In Embry’s head: I dart suddenly. I have to touch her.

In Billie Jean’s head: I feel the heat from his eyes and touch. Fire burns in his intense eyes. Embry softly skims my soft lips. We feel an electric shock as our skin touches.

Embry: “Billie Jean.”

In Billie Jean’s head: He says my name in a deep voice sending shivers down my spine.

Embry: “You'll regret this.”

Billie Jean: “I already do.”

In Billie Jean’s head: Embry’s left hand smoothly down my neck. I suck in a very deep breath. His eyes blazing with heat. Embry’s eyes stare deep in my soul. With his hand resting on my neck.

Embry: “At least you're not a coward.”

In Embry’s head: I whisper a breath away from her tempting lips. With a sharp twist I snap Billie Jean’s neck. (in the woods)

Rocco’s Mindlink: “Kiani!”

In Kiani’s head: I scent him. My Rocco’s enticing male scent blocking all else.

Kiani: “Highlander. I knew you would find me.”

In Rocco’s head: My wolf breathes in his mates scent calming him. He's been on the edge for far too long. Oh, how I missed this so much.

Rocco: “I'll always find you, little wolf. (they kiss)”

In Kiani’s head: I leaped into my highlanders arms as Rocco quickly catches me. I've never felt so much of a sense of relief. The overwhelming pleasure surges through me as Rocco ravishes my lips. My body hums with desire as Rocco devours me. Our bodies moldered together. I did my nails in his back not wanting to be without him again.

Rocco: “Let's get you home.”

Kiani: “I have a lot to tell you. (the next day in Fang’s conference room)”

Fang: “I TOLD YOU TO KILL HER! NOW TWO OF MY WOLVES ARE DEAD!”

Mr. Hawthorne: “Not to mention the police found Lucas’ body on my grounds.”

Fang: “Not to mention we no longer work in secret. Rocco knows my pack is involved. If you killed Kiani straight away, it would’ve destroyed Rocco.”

Mr. Hawthorne: “When were we going to tell me he’s allied with Kiani’s brother?”

Fang: “That's news to me. Now we don't have a surprise on our side.”

Winter: “YOU LET THAT TRAMP ESCAPE? I WILL KILL HER MYSELF!”

Mr. Hawthrone: “Not all lost. Embry’s back.”

Fang: “So he's not dead. He must have a lot to say.”

In Winter’s head: Why is she not dead?

Winter: “I should’ve been there. I would’ve ripped Kiani apart.”

Fang: “So you can lose for the third time? We won't make that mistake again. Time to call in my alliances. Will the Hunter's join us, now that they are back to full strength?”

Mr. Hawthorne: “They work for me.”

Winter: “No. They work for the mysterious organization who could call your pets back at any moment. We’re the true power here. Remember that. (Hawethrone’s library)”

Fate: “Nothing. No signs of getting your ass kicked. You've healed. So lucky you have wolf genes? I'll have this car for the rest of my life. What were you doing, Embry?”

Embry: “I'm not the one who's lost Kiani.”

Fate: “Be killed or kill. This whole hostage scenario isn't what we're about. Wolves need to be killed without hesitation. Talking about hesitating. You stopped me from killing that wolf girl. Then your ass got captured.”

Embry: “I didn’t save her.”

Fate: “Oh, so what were you doing then? You didn't tell me how you escaped. The alpha told me he killed you. I thought you were dead, Embry. It made me weak.”

Embry: “Never worry about me, Fate.”

Fate: “Like you worried about that girl? Did she let you go? Are you finally seduced by your kind? (Fate touches Embry’s face). She was gorgeous. Maybe she seduced you. We both know you could have escaped anytime you wanted.”

Embry: “I was chained to a wall. What can I do?(they kiss-Fate smacks Embry -Embry laughs). The great Fate is jealous of a wolf shifter.”

Fate: “I can't wait to see the look on your face when I kill her. (River’s room)”

Kiani: “I can't wait until you wake up. I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner. I should’ve been here. You never shouldn’t have gotten hurt.”

In Kiani’s head: River was too tired to speak so she decided to use her mindlink to talk.

River’s Mindlink: “Would you shut up!? It's not your fault, you were taken. How are you meant to heal me when you're not here? Stop talking nonsense and let me sleep. I'm tired. (Kiani laughs). Thank you, I love you.”

Sierra: “Thank you so much Kiani.”

Kiani: “I’d do anything for River. (Sierra hugs Kiani)”

Sierra: “Thank you for saving my baby girl. Words can't express it. I think you were born to save everyone. Sorry, I'm an emotional wreck at the moment. I hope you're okay as well. You've been through an ordeal yourself.”

Kiani: “I'll be okay, I'm a tough girl. (Nia walks in)”

In Kiani’s head: To see my aunt Nia at the moment was everything. A particular type of comfort only family can bring. (Kiani runs and hung Nia)”

Nia: “I'm so happy you're okay. I love you so much.”

Kiani: “I love you too. (Rocco and Tao smile)”

Rocco: “Tao boy, you're whipped. (Rocco laughs). You better keep River happy or you’re dead. Simple as that.”

Tao: “I love River with everything I have. I think I've always known it.”

Rocco: “Okay.”

In River’s head: Tao loves me!! (Bloodstone pack living room)”

In Billie Jean’s head: What have I done?

Conan: “Look at me, Billie Jean. What happened? Why did I find you with a broken neck and that Hunter gone?!”

In Billie Jean’s head: No one will understand. I barely understand. All I know is that my wolf didn't want Embry dead. I always listen to my wolf, it's the strong bond we share. At the same time, did I go too far? Embry still didn't kill me, despite all of his threats. But I've just betrayed my pack.

Billie Jean: “I went to check on him and he escaped. He broke my neck so I couldn't stop him. I'm sorry dad.”

In Billie Jean’s head: I'm sorry I have to lie to you.

In Conan’s head: My daughter is lying to my face. I never thought Billie would lie to me. I'm beyond disappointed. Kylo will be furious.

Conan: “I never thought I wouldn't trust my own daughter.”

In Billie Jean’s head: The loss of trust from my dad almost kills me. I can't look them in the eyes. I tell him everything, I'm his only daughter.

Billie Jean: “I'm sorry.”

Conan: “I hope you know what you're doing. If not, you've risked everyone's life. That's on you, Billie Jean.”

Kylo: “HOW THE HELL DID HE ESCAPE?!”

Conan: “I doubt those chains would’ve held him forever.”

Kylo: “Do you realize the danger this puts us in?”

Juno: “Those chains were specifically designed. He couldn't have just broken free.”

Conan: “Well, he somehow managed it. Now we must be prepared.”

In Billie Jean’s head: I will make this right. My wolf lines and disagreement. For the first time I don't listen and neither do I care. (in the bathroom)

In Kiani’s head: I should be happy and I'm back and safe but I know this is only the beginning. (Kiani gets dresses - Rocco walks in)

Kiani: “Take a picture, it might last longer. (Kiani laughs)”

In Kiani’s head: I pressed my lips on Rocco’s lips right where they belong.

Rocco: “You're going to have to change again.”

In Kiani’s head: Rocco growls in my mouth.

Kiani: “Mhm. (they kiss). Kylo’s here! (Kiani walks away)”

In Rocco’s head: To think I almost liked him.

Rocco’s Wolf: “Noo!”

In Rocco’s head: My wolf is nearly more vexed than me. (in the living room)

Kylo: “I'm glad you're safe, Ki Ki. (Kiani laughs)”

Kiani: “A new nickname, huh? Ki Ki! (Kylo’s surprised - Kiani laughs)”

Kylo: “I used to call you that when I was a pup. You wouldn't remember. You were just a little baby. I think you used to like that nickname because you always smiled.”

In Kiani’s head: It still hurts that we never grew up together. All the dorky brother and sister memories we could have shared. Lost.

Kylo: “Now it's time to make up for lost time, Ki Ki.”

Kiani: “Thank you, brother. (Kylo smiles - Kiani’s surprised)”

Billie Jean: “Kiani, you’re safe.”

Kiani: “Billie!”

In Kiani’s head: I look past my cousin to see an imposing figure. My uncle Conan.

Kylo: “Kiani, they both wanted to come.”

In Kiani’s head: I yelled at my uncle the last time.

Conan: “You do look like your mother. I'm sorry about the last time we met. I'm so glad that you're safe now. (Nia runs in - Kylo, Billie Jean, and Kylo are surprised)”

In Conan’s head: Nia…?!

In Kylo’s head: Aunt Nia.

In Nia’s head: My nephew Kylo.

In Kiani’s head: Talk about a family reunion. My wolf feels awkward. Where’s Rocco?

Rocco’s Mindlink: “Well, the tension is damn high in here.”

Rocco’s Wolf: “You think. Where were you?”

In Rocco’s head: Kiani furiously mindlinks with me.

Kylo: “Rocco. I have some bad news.”
