Chapter the Wife 94

Chapter 94 Offering Peace

“I thought I would never see you again in this lifetime, Sally,” Laura said with tears in her eyes. “It’s wonderful that we have a chance to meet again.”

Sally held Laura’s hand, ready to take her back to her place, when suddenly a Porsche stopped in front of them.

Sally had a bad feeling immediately.

Sure enough, the person Sally least wanted to see appeared before them.

Seeing Robert, who she hadn’t seen for a long time, Laura’s face was full of fear..

She instinctively hid behind Sally.

Robert, of course, noticed Laura’s actions and frowned deeply.

“So you are still alive,” Robert said through gritted teeth. “My bodyguards said they saw you here earlier, but I didn’t believe them. Now I see they weren’t lying.

“Robert, what do you want?” Sally’s face turned fierce. “I’m telling you, Laura has nothing to do with you. Don’t do anything rash.”

Robert didn’t like Sally. Seeing her always protecting Laura made him even angrier. “You nasty woman, Laura only became like this because she stayed with someone like you. Stay away from her in the future!”

Sally stubbornly blocked Robert’s view of Laura. “Robert, if you dare to do anything, I’ll fight you!”

Robert ignored Sally and turned his attention to Laura behind her. “When did you come back? Why didn’t you come to see me?”

Sally thought Robert was acting like a madman.

He had hurt Laura, leading her to jump into the sea, yet he showed no remorse and even spoke to her in such a nonchalant manner!

Sally was furious, and Laura seemed terrified of Robert, not daring to look him in the eye.

Seeing Laura’s timid demeanor, Robert grew inexplicably angry.

He stepped forward, pulled Sally aside, and grabbed Laura’s hand.

“Robert! What are you doing!” Sally shouted, trying to pull Laura back. But Robert yanked Laura behind him. “Sally, I advise you to mind your own business, or I can’t guarantee I’ll be nice to your dear friend.”

With that, Robert forcibly shoved Laura into his car and drove away quickly.

Sally watched the car speed away, feeling deeply worried.

Soon, Laura sent her a message.

Laura: Dear, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.

Sally: Laura, should I call the police for you?

Laura: No, you don’t need to worry.

Sally felt heartbroken reading Laura’s last message.

After hesitating for a long time, she decided not to call the police.

Hopefully, that vile man Robert wouldn’t do anything extreme to Laura.

When Sally returned home, she found Anders blocking her door.

Sally felt a wave of irritation. She said expressionlessly, “Mr. Anders, why are you here again? What do you want?”

Anders looked into Sally’s eyes, excitedly saying, “Sally, I’ve reconciled with Andy today.”

“What?” Sally was shocked. “What are you talking about?”

Anders was very certain. “Andy still cares about me! I went to see him, and he accepted me as his father.”

Sally gritted her teeth. “Are you crazy? You dared to meet Andy secretly? Don’t you know the last person Andy wants to see is you?”

Anders patiently tried to reassure her. “No, Sally, you’re wrong. Andy still longs for a father’s love. After we reconciled, he called me Dad.”

Sally didn’t expect Anders to change Andy’s mind so quickly.

However, she wasn’t willing to bow down to Anders just because Andy longed for his father’s love.

“Oh, so what?” Sally raised an eyebrow and smiled. “Andy accepting you is Andy’s business. Why are you telling me this? Do you think I’ll be willing to be with you?”

Anders stepped forward, grabbing her slender hands. “Sally! Let’s be together! Let me make up for my past mistakes.”

Sally’s eyes widened!

This guy was crazy!

What was he talking about?

How could she be with this man again?

Just thinking about how he treated Andy in the past made Sally feel sick.

She couldn’t forgive him.

Impossible to forgive him.

But Anders refused to let go of her hands. Sally, angry, said, “You want to be with me that badly?”

Anders nodded earnestly.

Sally sneered. “Anders, did you forget you killed my child?”

Anders froze. “When did I kill your child?”

Seeing he didn’t remember, Sally was furious. “You forgot? Fine, let me remind you.”

Sally yanked her hands free and coldly asked, “Remember when I had a conflict with Mary and fell? When I woke up, my baby was gone. Mary told me you had the doctor terminate my pregnancy. Is that true?”

Anders looked shocked.

He quickly explained, “I didn’t mean to hurt your child. You were weak, and the doctor said if you continued the pregnancy, you might not survive.”

Sally was stunned by the truth!

But even so, she couldn’t accept it.

She took a step back, tears welling up. “So what? You always sided with Mary. Do you know how much she hurt me? If not for you, I wouldn’t have suffered so much.”

Anders felt terrible seeing Sally so sad.

“Sally, I didn’t know why Mary lied about me intentionally terminating your pregnancy. I did it for your health,” Anders said, feeling wronged.

Sally wiped her tears, choking up. “Anders, we can never go back. Keep your pity. I won’t be fooled!”

Anders felt his heart breaking, seeing her so unfeeling.

Sally wanted to go inside, but if she opened the door, Anders would follow. So she chose to leave.

“Sally, where are you going?” Anders asked urgently.

“I’m going to find Laura!” Sally said angrily. “Leave me alone!”

“Laura?” Anders was confused.

He thought Laura was dead.

Sally saw his confusion and explained, “She’s not dead. She’s alive. But Robert just forcibly took her away.”

Sally was about to leave when Anders shouted, “Do you know where to find her?

Sally froze.

She didn’t really know where to look.

She didn’t know where Robert lived.

Anders saw his chance.

“I know where Robert is,” he said.

Sally’s eyes lit up. “Really? You know? Where is he?”

Anders smiled.
