Chapter the Wife 27
Chapter 27 Charity Gala
Sally felt as if she had been burned. Her expression was filled with pain, and she sat motionless.
Mary sneered, then walked over to the sofa and held the box out to Sally.
“Open it up, there’s a surprise inside…” Mary said excitedly.
With trembling hands, Sally slowly opened the box.
Inside, she found several pieces of blood–stained cloth.
From the original color of the fabric, it was clear that these were indeed Andy’s clothes.
Sally broke down in tears.
“Andy, Andy. Sally cried so hard she could hardly breathe.
Mary, with a bright and proper smile, looked down at Sally and said, “Did you know? Anders was quite considerate. He even sent a helicopter to search the cliff for that bastard…”
Sally clutched the bloodied cloth to her chest, sobbing uncontrollably.
Mary felt a surge of satisfaction. “It’s a pity… Your son was probably eaten by wild animals…. It’s actually a good thing that some of his clothes were recovered, don’t you think?”
“When you hold a funeral for the child, make sure to invite me, sister. I’ll make sure to properly mourn Andy, hahaha…” Mary laughed even more arrogantly.
“Get out, get out!” Sally, in a fit of rage, grabbed whatever she could and threw it at Mary.
A pillow hit Mary, who looked at Sally with disdain before turning to leave.
Before closing the door, Mary taunted, “Sister, remember to invite me to Andy’s funeral!”
“Get out–Sally’s scream was nearly a shriek.
The door closed.
Sally sat on the floor for a long time before deciding to leave.
With Gale out of the country, the only person she could turn to was Daniel.
During their captivity, Daniel had always been kind to Andy.
Sally didn’t understand why Daniel had lost his memory, but she needed to tell him about Andy’s death. She was so heartbroken…
Sally opened the door and found a disheveled Anders standing there.
The Anders she remembered was always well–dressed, and she had never seen him looking so lost.
Thinking of her son’s death, Sally felt a wave of disgust
She said nothing and tried to walk past Anders, but he blocked her path.
“Sally, I.” Anders hesitated, but Sally pushed him away forcefully.
“What are you doing here?” Sally glared at him with disgust. “Isn’t it enough that you caused my son’s death? Do you want to kill me too?”
“No, I didn’t mean that…” Anders looked hurt.

“Don’t put on that act in front of me!” Sally was on the verge of tears. “If you hadn’t hesitated, Andy wouldn’t be dead!”
Anders said, “Mary saved my life. I couldn’t just let her die. Sally, you have to understand…”
“Who wants to understand you?” Sally wanted to slap him. “Andy is dead now. Nothing you say matters. Anders, I will hate you forever.”
With that, Sally stormed out of the apartment.
She took a taxi to Daniel’s residence.
Daniel’s villa was heavily guarded, and she couldn’t get in. Sally had no choice but to wait at the gate.
After a while, a Porsche slowly drove out of the villa.
Sally’s eyes lit up!
It was Daniel’s car!
Unable to contain her excitement, Sally rushed to stop the Porsche!
The driver hit the brakes.
The window rolled down.
The driver glared at her. “Miss, what do you want? Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
Sally bit her lip and looked toward the back seat.
“Daniel! I need to talk to you, Daniel!” Sally was almost in tears.
After a few seconds, the back window rolled down.
Daniel, wearing sunglasses, looked at her impatiently.“It’s you again? What do you want?”
“Daniel…” Sally wept. “Andy is dead, He’s dead…”
Daniel frowned. “Who’s Andy? Do I know him?”
Sally pulled a photo from her pocket and handed it into the car. “This is Andy. He’s my son…”
Daniel took the photo. Just as Sally thought it might jog his memory, Daniel tore the photo into pieces! Sally was stunned.
Daniel tossed the pieces out of the car and sneered, “I don’t know any Andy. If you bother me again, I won’t be so nice.”
With that, Daniel signaled the driver to drive off.
“Daniell” Sally cried, trying to stop the car, but the guards pulled her aside.
“Are you crazy?” the guard scolded. “Our young master doesn’t know a woman like you. Just because you’re pretty doesn’t mean you can get close to him. Besides, our young master has a girlfriend!”
Sally returned home, devastated.
With Gale abroad, she had no way to contact him, and Daniel was her only hope for revenge.
But why h
had Daniel lost his memory so suddenly?
Thinking of Mia, Sally’s doubts grew.
While Sally pondered, she noticed an invitation on the table.
Chapter 27 Chanty Gala

It was….
The invitation to the charity gala that Gale had given her!
He had said he’d take her to see the world at the gala.
But now Gale was out of the country…
Sally looked at the date on the invitation.
The charity gala was tonight!
Sally took a deep breath.
She needed to find a way to get close to Daniell
At the very least, she had to find out why Daniel had lost his memory!
Sally picked a dress from her wardrobe and, as evening approached, took a taxi to the gala venue.
Seeing the wealth and status of the guests made Sally feel out of place.
But that wasn’t the focus.
Daniel came from a prominent family, and such a grand event was one he would likely attend.
She wandered the hall, pretending to mingle, but she was searching for Daniel.
To her disappointment, she didn’t see him.
However, she soon spotted someone familiar.
Mary!
Mary seemed to be in a hurry. After taking a phone call, she quickly walked to the other side of the hall.
Without thinking, Sally followed her.
Keeping her distance, Sally followed Mary to a corridor and heard strange sounds.
Sally didn’t dare move closer and stayed hidden.
“Oh, why are you here?” Mary cooed. “Your sudden call scared me.”
Sally was confused.
Who was Mary talking to?
