Chapter The Way 7

Chapter 7

The weight of my grief and fury was unbearable, a maelstrom of emotions that seemed to consume me whole. As Morgana’s cruel words echoed in my mind, something deep within me stirred–a dormant power, ancient and powerful, hidden within the Moonstone that had always been disguised as my mateship ring. I had never fully grasped its significance until now, but in my moment of deepest despair, I felt its call, urging me to embrace it.

I reached for the ring, feeling its warmth seep through my fingers as I held it close. The Moonstone’s magic surged through me, and the world around me seemed to shimmer with a new, intense clarity. My transformation was swift and painful, a process both agonizing and exhilarating. My body shifted and twisted as I took on my wolf form, and the Moonstone s power became an integral part of my being.

My wolf form was magnificent and fierce–her fur was a deep, midnight blue that shimmered like the night sky, flecked with silver that sparkled with every movement. Her eyes glowed with a fierce, otherworldly light, a hauntingly beautiful blend of lunar silver and stormy gray.

I could feel the strength coursing through my muscles, the heightened senses sharpening my perception of every sound, scent, and movement. The Moonstone had granted me control over my transformations, allowing me to shift at will and harness the raw power that flowed within me. As I faced Morgana and the witch, my heart pounded with a renewed sense of purpose. Morgana had already shifted into her wolf form, her fur a dull gray that seemed almost sickly. Her eyes, once so calculating and cold, now glinted cunningness as she faced me. The witch stood beside her, her dark robes billowing as she prepared her dark spells.

Morgana let out a low, menacing growl, and I responded in kind, my voice a thunderous roar that reverberated through the night. The battle began with a fury that matched the storm within me. My strength allowed me to move with a speed and agility that was beyond anything I had ever known. Each swipe of my claws, each snap of my jaws, was infused with the raw power of the Moonstone, and Morgana s gray wolf form struggled to keep up.

“You’ll regret everything, I’ll make sure of it!”

Despite my advantage, the witch proved to be a formidable opponent. Her incantations filled the air with a dark, crackling energy, and I could feel her attempts to counter my power.

I dodged and weaved through her spells, my heightened senses alert to every threat. Morgana lunged at me, her fangs bared, but I met her aggression with a fierce determination.

The battle raged on, a clash of two powerful forces. Morgana‘ s wolf form was relentless, but my control over the Moonstone allowed me to anticipate her moves, to strike with precision and strength. The witch continued her dark work, her eyes glowing with malevolent intent as she chanted in a language I didn’t recognize.

“Fuck,” I growled.

In a moment of distraction, I felt a sudden, sharp pain, a wrenching sensation that seemed to tear through the core of my being.

I glanced down to see the witch’s spell had cracked the Moonstone, its power leaking out in a brilliant, painful flash. Morgana seized the opportunity, her gray wolf form lunging forward with a

victorious snarl.

With a swift, decisive move, Morgana grabbed a piece of the Moonstone–about a quarter of it–and absorbed its remaining power.
