Chapter 13 "A New Woman"
Elijah P.O.V.
I can’t believe I let my guard down again with Avery Williams!
I was sitting on the ground watching this shy and quiet girl I always picked on and bullied. She just used me and walked away? Damn, I don’t know why it turns me on. But it was still hard not from what we did but what she just did just now. Like used me for her pleasure. I bit my lip and I watched her walk out of the meadows and into the woods and disappear in thin air. After she was gone. I dusted myself off the ground. I got up. That was when I started walking out of the meadows and out of the woods.
A few minutes later…
I was walking across the school parking lot. I wanted to meet with the boys tonight. So, I got out my phone and started texting them in a group on my phone.
“Hey pizza, beer, video games, at my house.” I wrote.
Then I put my phone away until I get to my mustang before I pull out. That was when I heard voices. I looked over at the school. I saw a guy and a girl talking or maybe kissing. But I ignored them and went back to looking at my phone. I wanted to get the right song for driving home too. That was when I found it. Slow-motion by Juvenile is an oldie and classic hip hop song. My parents listened to that song when they were teenagers. So, my parents got me hooked on their music.
So, I shut my phone and put it down. I started my car and pulled out of the parking lot. I drove home thinking about how I was going to get Avery pants before the school year was over. I knew one thing: she woke up a monster and this monster wanted to play.
“Oh, you little tease, I am coming for you,” I said under my breath. That was when I thought about driving down the road to my house. But first I needed to do a pit stop before I went home. Emilia Stone, my ex-girlfriend, has been blowing up my phone all day even after school. So, I needed to stop at her house to see what the crazy bitch wanted. So, here I was driving over to the crazy ex psychopath/ old/ girlfriend house.
Avery P.O.V.
What! I thought in my head. Why did he want her, what’s wrong with me? Why I was thinking about them together. I didn’t realize my hands were in a fist. I felt the heat and anger in my body thinking about them together.
~ a Few seconds ago, ~
“Avery, did you hear me?” Ashely said into the phone. I was shocked and heartbroken. He was with me just a little bit before I came home. What a freaking man-whore.
“Yes, I did. It’s okay. I am over him. I didn’t care if they were back together. Like I said, they deserve each other.” I told her on the phone.
“You want me and Nat to come over?″ She asked me. I had to think about this. So, I told them I don’t need her and Natalie to come over.
“No, I am okay. Really, I am fine,” I told her with a smile in my voice.
She hesitated for a second and she spoke.
“Okay, we’ll let me know if you need me and Nat. I am a phone call away Hun.” She told me. I said OKAY.
“Okay, goodnight, Ash. You’re a great cousin and a best friend,” I told her.
“No problem, I love yeah Ave,” she told me. “Goodnight, see you tomorrow at school. Love yeah,” she told me again.
“Yeah, see yeah love yeah too,” I told her. Then we hung up the phones.
I put down my phone and went to bed. I closed my eyes with pain in my chest and tears in my eyes from crying myself to sleep.
The next morning, I woke up with tear-stink eyes from crying all night. Because what Ashely said to me over the phone last night about Elijah Woods went over to Emilia Stone house, and he hugged her outside her front door. How did I know Ashely my cousin saw them? Ashley lived right across from Emilia Stone’s house. I sighed and shook my head. I didn’t want to think about them together today. I needed to get up and get ready for school before I was late. So, I walked out to my bathroom and used it. Then I started taking off my bra and underwear and Elijah Woods long tee shirt. I stepped inside the shower. I started washing my hair and body when I heard my phone ringing. I stopped the water, and I was starting to climb out of the shower when suddenly I fell out of the shower.
“Ahh,” I yelled out. I caught myself before I hit the floor.
“Damn it!” I said out loud. That’s when I heard someone knocking on the bathroom door.
“Avery, sweetie. Are you okay?” My sweet, beautiful mom asked me.
“Oh, yeah mom! I am okay. I just fell out of the shower,” I told her.
“But I caught myself before I fell on my face!” I told her through the bathroom door.
“Okay, honey! Remember, don’t be too long. Or you will be late for school.” She told me.
“Okay, I won’t,” I told her.
I was drying off and I wrapped the towel around my body. I started brushing my teeth. After I did. I was brushing my hair. I put some lotion on my legs and arms. I rubbed them in. I bent back up and started spraying perfume and took the deodorant and rolled them under my arms. I put the perfume and deodorant away. I got my makeup bag out. I started getting the foundation out. I unscrewed it and I put it in my palm and started rubbing it in my face. Then I got eyeliner and mascara and lip balm. I inspected it. I like what I am seeing. I looked good enough. I walked out the bathroom door. Going to my bedroom.
I walked into the door. I walked straight to my dresser and pulled out my light pink underwear and bra. I laid my towel over my chair. I was standing there naked. I started to pull on my underwear one foot then the other. After I had my underwear on. I started putting on my bra. Then I turned around and I saw a different girl in the mirror. I looked sexier and stronger. I liked what I was seeing. Maybe it will be a better year for my last year in high school.
I smiled at my reflection and turned away and walked over to my closet. Maybe I will wear something a little different today other than my baggy clothes. I started looking in my closet. I was looking for something...
Yes! I found it. I took out a little blue and pink dress. It was a little shorter than what I usually wear. But today I was a different Avery now. I was going to have more confidence in myself.
I started putting on the dress and went to the mirror to see I look good before I leave before school.
I looked and I gasped with my hand over my light pink lips. I couldn’t believe what I saw. I didn’t see the loser, nerdy wallflower anymore. I saw a beautiful, confident, girl in front of me.
“Well, here goes nothing,” I said to no one around me. I said it to the empty room, and I walked over to my desktop and grabbed my phone. I walked away. Then I had it in my hand. Then I saw the door. I bent down and grabbed my backpack and opened it up. I stuck my phone inside the pocket. I zipped it up and walked out my bedroom door.
I was ready for school. But I didn’t know what would happen once I went to school.
