The Wallflower and the Alphas

Avery P.O.V. 

One minute I was hugging Emilia and the next, I heard something crash behind us. We both jumped and then we were laughing. That was when I heard the door fly open. I turned my head towards the door. I saw Jake and Elijah, Andrew, and Matthew inside the room, giving Emilia a cautious look. I wanted to roll my eyes. But then I heard Emilia start yelling at her brother and the guys. "Your bunch of fucking ridiculous assholes." I heard her yell up in their face. Jake stood back and tried to escape his sister's heated temper. I always knew she had a bad temper. She started getting angry, and hard to stop to get her to calm down. "Emilia, sis, what are you doing in here?" I heard Jake ask her in a familiar voice but still watching her with his eyes.

I can see he doesn't trust her around me. He is still cautious about her around. After all, she was mean to me. Now she is trying to protect me and wants to be my friend and the girls. "What am I doing here?" She asked him. "Why aren't you here with Avery." She told them to point over at me. I am standing up now right by the side of the bed. I didn't want to stare over at the guys. But my eyes had its mind of their own. When I turned my eyes on them. I felt heat run up my body. They can tell I feel them close by with their body heat. I looked away because I couldn't handle their heated stares at me.

"What do you mean, sis? We here, aren't we." I hear Jake tell his sister with an annoyed reply. He doesn't like to be yelled at and doesn't want to be told what to do. Any of these guys do. They like to be in charge, and they want to be the one who tells you what to do. But the thing about Emilia is she doesn't listen to anybody. She is tough and hardheaded like Ashely. I always wonder why they could not get along. Now I know. They act alike because they're tough and hardheaded. So, no one can get them to follow and listen to them because they are rebels and badass women. No one messes with Emilia and Ashely except for Duke Conaway and Joseph Houser for Emilia. And what you ask for, Ashely, no other than Elijah Woods's cousin and best friend, Jayson Woods. I can see how Ashely and Emilia act around when the guys around them.

But that was another day. Also, what's going on with Natalie and Eli Wallace? What's up with the two? One day she is happy, and the next, I see her with a sad broken smile on her face she is trying to hide. But she can't hide the pain on her face, and I know the way she stares at him. That she thinks we are not looking. Then there's Ashely whenever she is around Jayson; wow, he is asking to get murdered. I thought with a laugh. But then, who am I going to say something is going on with them or not? It's none of my business. But once he hurts her. He will have to run from me. Because I will hurt him, that goes for the others that hurt my friends, but I don't know why he likes to get under her skin. He loves to piss her off, and he wants the reaction she gives him. That was when she attacked him. But he stares at her and does nothing, but he has a sinister smile when she is on top of him. When she was attacking his face and body, she was hitting him.

He didn't try to throw her off. But he did tell someone to get her off him at the beginning of the school year. But now, she starts hitting him every time and gets on top of him. He doesn't ask for help. He lets her do what she wants and starts opening his mouth, saying xxx-rated things out of his mouth. The last couple of times. I had a blush on my face, whatever he told her he wanted to do to her. Then he would joke around with her. But a couple of times, they were close enough to kiss. So, he said something to her. Whatever he said. She started kissing him. We all stood back, shocked, and once she was done kissing him.

I saw her smirk, and she got up from him. I can see his face. It was priceless. I started giggling when she walked away. But I didn't get to see more because the guys grabbed me. So yeah, my friends got a lot of explaining to do. I go back in front of me. That was when I heard Emilia telling the guys to leave, and I was okay with her. She also told them she wasn't going to hurt me. It's not a joke; I want to be her friend. I heard her say out of her mouth. I don't want to be around them right now. What I saw down at the party with the girls. "So, why are they up here with you asking if you're okay?" I heard Angelstar say inside my mind.

I don't know; maybe they feel guilty because now. They saw me when they were making out with them bitches." I told her with gritty teeth. I am so hurt and upset with them. I don't need her lip in this. She was supposed to be on my side. But no. She believes them and wants me to go with them right now. I am saying no, and I am putting my foot down. "So, I am not going to crawl back to them. I told them how I felt about them, and they didn't say anything back.

So, I left them on the porch and walked away." I told her back. But then she had to be a smart ass and mean when she told me I was being childish. I rolled my eyes at her. "But Avery, quit being a crybaby and just listen to what they have to say?" She told me with a sad expression on her wolf face. I don't want to listen to her. But she must be right. I don't want her to know I thought she was right for once. "Ha-ha, too late! I already heard you.

I was right." I heard her laugh under her breath. Oh, great. I thought with a sigh I let out. "Angelstar, leave Avery alone." I heard Angelica's sweet voice come into the communication. She barely came in the communicate with me and Angelstar. When I try to speak to them in the mind link. "Avery!" I didn't hear Emilia walk back toward me, and she started speaking to me because I was in my own mind talking to my wolf and feeling when I didn't hear her say my name.

"Um, yes?" I answer back. She stared at me. She was wondering if I would leave with them or stay here. But I had already made up my mind. I am staying here. So I need to tell them that. So, that is what I am going to do. I was about to open my mouth when suddenly Duke Conaway ran through the door. I could see him on a mission, and that was walking in this room when he started walking towards me. I heard a lot of growls behind him. They were my mates. But he wasn't looking at me like he did before. He was staring at Emilia. When I turned around, I looked over at Emilia. I saw it.

All I needed to know was when I saw she was staring at him with heated and wanted eyes. "Mate!" I heard him say and grabbed her and kissed her. He is done chasing me. Oh, thank God, I thought. But someone else walked through the door. "Mine!" I heard a growl, and I turned. I saw... Emilia stopped kissing Duke, and Duke looked behind him. "Joseph Houser!" I heard myself say. I can't believe she has two mates too. She must have a wolf and feel too.
