The Unwanted Luna

Their Mate, My Saviors Chapter 41

-POV

Edon-

Once the plane took off, the three of us went to our cabin and laid down with our princess. She was still fast asleep, and I guess the challenge had begun. She snuggled into my chest and Conri spooned her from behind. Vil was scouring away on his computer doing Goddess knows what. "Let me know when you want to switch." I said with a smirk.

Vil rolled his eyes. "I'm not done scheduling my date." He growled.

I sighed and petted her hair softly while she held onto my shirt with her tiny hands. "I thought you were done already."

He shot his glare my way. I could feel it even though I couldn't see it. It was burning holes in my back. "I don't get the luxury of such a warm welcome as you two."

"Vil, you are thinking too hard." Conri said.

"Am I?" He shot back with half the intensity as the words fell through a yawn.

I think I have to go with Vil on this one, he really is having a hard time with Ayame, but we all were. We got so sidetracked and now we are paying the price for it. We should never forget that Ayame should always come first. No matter the situation. We did the one thing we kept telling her we wouldn't.

We left her alone.

We were in the air for about an hour before Conri got up to check on the pilot. Vil yawned and finally trudged over to flop next to Ayame. She was still sound asleep and Vil assumed Conri's previous position. "She's probably exhausted from not sleeping for three days." He mumbled into the pillow.

I furrowed my brow and then it dawned on me. I rubbed the back of my head. "Yeah, I guess you are right. She never had a full night's rest until she started sleeping with at least one of us. The sad part is, it hasn't just been three days, brother. Think about how many times we crashed in the office because we stayed up so late over the last two weeks."

His jaw clenched and he pulled her closer to him before silently going to sleep. He wasn't in the mood. Vil felt guilt just as much as Conri and I. He just didn't appreciate it being slapped back into his face.

For the rest of the flight, we let her sleep, knowing the time difference would require her to be fresh when we landed. Once the pilot told us we had about forty minutes until landing, I decided that was a good enough time as any to wake her up. "Princess...it's time to wake up." I whispered softly while I let my lips graze over her jaw, cheek and neck. I

She whimpered and arched her chest into mine. I growled at the contact and that snapped her eyes open immediately. She pulled away and slipped her hair back in one fluid motion. "Where are we?!" She asked.

"About two hours away from our private island in the southern tropics. We need you to get dressed, princess."

She looked down at her clothes and gasped. "Why am I still in my pajamas?!" She squeaked.

I smirked and leaned over to tap her nose. "Do you not remember me carrying you to the car?" I asked.

She furrowed her brow and I waited for the puzzle pieces to click in place. "Oh...that was real?" She muttered. "I thought I was dreaming." She sighed and the sadness filled her eyes again. I noticed the darker circles under them, confirming the assumptions I had made earlier, as she stood to her feet. "I'm going to get washed up. Where are my clothes?" She asked.

"I'll go get your bag. It will be ready when you get out, Princess." I walked up to her and closed the door to the bathroom before she could walk in to the previously opened threshold.

She stayed miraculously still, staring at the closed wooden door. "W-what?" She asked.

I kissed her neck slowly while I let my hands graze over her hips and torso. "I hope we are forgiven soon, but watching you pout is making my whole body ache. I want to ravish that look right off your face." I grumbled into the crook of her neck while I felt my breathing quicken. She slipped her hands through my hair. "I'm glad you are enjoying it because nothing you three do will make what you did okay. I'm not angry anymore, I'm just...disappointed at this point."

With that, my hands dropped from her body and she slipped into the bathroom, closing - and locking - the door quietly behind her. Disappointed...? Why did that hurt more than her anger? I shook it off and walked out of the room, heading for the bags. I pulled out her duffle and headed towards the room.

I placed it gently on the tousled comforter and left without a second glance at the closed door holding up a thirty-foot barrier only she could take down. When I made it back to the main cabin, I sat next to Conri and he adjusted his weight. "She has her clothes?" "Yes. Depending on what she chooses, that will tell us who will take her out first." Vil said.

I shrugged. It was his idea for each of us to pack three sets of clothes for her that would match the outings we would like to take her on. If the clothes didn't match our dates, it went to the other brother. Of course, we also threw in some relaxing stuff too. That would really suck if she chose those. Then all three of us would be beached.

"That is correct, but we need to remember what we will be telling her when the three of us have dinner with her together as well." Conri reminded us.

"Yes, but there is no way she is going to choose that dress unless we ask her to." I concluded.

"True, but when she does, we need to tell her everything. All the information I found on Radavier, Prince Chaz, her mother and her father. Everything. She needs to know. She also needs to tell us about the spirit she has chosen. That is more important now than ever. Remember that one of your dates is spirit introductions, so use it well." Conri added.

"Yeah, yeah we know." Vil said, throwing a pretzel in his mouth.

After a few more minutes of idle chat, the sweet scent of chocolate and raspberries flooded the main cabin. I turned around and was greeted with the sight of a perfect princess with her hair loosely braided to one side while it was still slightly damp. A baggy, mesh green sweater half way tucked into a pair of white shorts and a black tank top holding up her delectable breasts taunt and together. That was my favorite tank top of hers. She was wearing my outfit. I guess the first thing on the to-do list was to show her my bear spirit. I took in a deep breath as I gained my bearings and...resituated myself.

Standing to my feet, I walked over to her and held out my hand. She hesitated for much longer than I thought before her fingers slipped over my palm and I let our hands intertwine. "You look stunning." I said, kissing her cheeks.

She blushed and nodded. "Thank you, Edon."

I nodded and guided her to a seat, just as the fasten seatbelt sign lit up. She buckled herself into the window seat and I did the same in the seat next to hers while my hand went right back to its job, holding hers. She squeezed my hand as the tires bounced on the tarmac and the plane jolted to a stop. Once we heard the stairs align with the exit, I unbuckled my seatbelt and she quietly did the same. "Before you get all settled at our villa, I think it's time to take you on a little adventure." I said with a grin.

She spun around in the seat excitedly, then immediately forced her emotions down. "I don't even know where we are....." She whispered.

"It's our little oasis. We call it our Petite île or Little Island. Ha, I know...not so original."

She finally cracked a smile and nodded. "No, not really, but I still like it." She said. I pinched her cheek lightly and held out my hand again. She took it a little faster this time and I led her off of the plane. Vil and Conri were loading up their respective cars and she turned to look my way. "Are we not driving together?"

I shook my head. "Nope, it's my turn to spend some time with you. The silver one is mine." I nodded over to my BMW 8 series, and she gasped.

"Nice car!" She said excitedly. "We get to drive in that?"

I grinned and walked her over to my favorite ride. I keep it here because there aren't any speed limits. Therefore, I don't have any limits on its 3.0 liter goodness. I dug out my keys and clicked open the doors. "Ready?"

She nodded and the door opened on its own. Yep, it's a mod that I love to show off. Not even going to lie about that. She slipped into the passenger seat and I gently closed the door behind her before slipping into the driver's side. I know exactly where to take her and I'm glad we told our wait staff to pack a picnic in each of our cars, just in case she chose one of those outfits when we landed. I pulled away from the air strip and sped through the streets. It took our father years to build this paradise and now the whole family uses it from time to time. It's nice we can just be us here and enjoy the heat.

We turned off into a small enclave off the freshly paved roads. I pulled up to the parking spot and turned off the car. She turned to me, catching her breath. "That...was amazing." She said breathlessly.

I smirked and pulled myself out of the car. Jogging around to the back, I grabbed the picnic basket before helping her out of the front seat. "Ready to go, princess?"

She looked at the basket, then down at her sandals. "I didn't really dress...appropriately to walk through the woods."

I grinned and placed the basket next to her feet. "It's fine. I'll carry you."

"C-Carry me and the basket?"

I nodded and started stripping. "Just make sure you keep my clothes with you as well." She blushed and for once she didn't look away.

"Wait, are you -"

She was about to ask the inevitable question, but I already had my grey jeans and black pull over folded next to the basket. I kicked off my shoes and shifted right in front of her. She jumped back and my spirit turned to look at her through his vibrant yellow eyes. He roared loudly and she fell right on her bum while she stared up at my seven-foot-tall, Kodiak bear.
