Austin was telling the truth.

"Of course, children will always stay with their mothers. Home is wherever their mother is. You'd better ask about Ren's opinion instead of making a scene here."

Austin glanced at the gilded ancient clock above the hall, his eyes sharp.

"The engagement ceremony of my grandson and Ren is about to start in ten minutes. You can ask her opinion when she's here."

"Really?"

Francine was delightedly surprised. For the first time, she felt that Austin was not as horrible as legend had it. He was reasonable.

She tried to reconfirm with him. "So, you're saying that I can ask Ren to come home with me when she's out, and you'll let her go if she says yes?"

"No, you're wrong." Austin shook his head. "She came here willingly. Of course, it's not as if you need to ask me to let her go."

"It's fine. That's not important as long as you remember what you said." Francine was confident and eager. She then said smugly to Austin and the others, "Wait and see! I have ways to make Ren come home with me." "Fine, we'll wait and see."

After speaking calmly, Austin got onto the stage with Jack and Sophia. The stage looked dreamy with flowers and crystals.

Both Leia and Liam watched the scene, gripped with unspeakable anxiety.

"Liam, do you think this is that simple? Austin is famous for being a dominant dictator. How would he easily let Ren go? Is he trying to humiliate himself in front of so many people?" Leia didn't believe that Austin would give up that easily, and added worriedly, "I feel that he's going to do something big. Is he going to take revenge on Ren and the Hunt family?"

"Maybe he's confident enough that she won't leave with them."

Liam crossed his arms and watched the Baldwin family on the stage. His eyes gleamed coldly.

"If I were her, I wouldn't leave with them either. The one who should be here chose to be a coward and had his parents come here to make a scene. He's such an unreliable man! He's worse than her, who's open and honest."

Liam didn't trust Justin before he came here, and felt that Justin must be violent and extreme since he was a Baldwin.

Liam was worried that he might turn hostile once Renee failed to satisfy him, and so hoped that Renee would consider it and not put herself in such a dangerous situation.

However, after getting in touch with Justin, Liam learned that Renee's choice was not made on a whim. She had pondered over it and compared various things to come up with such a decision.

At the very least, Justin was brave and open-minded. He was bold enough to pursue what he wanted. When he couldn't gain something, he would generously let go.

Renee wouldn't suffer with such a man. He wouldn't be any worse than the cowardly Stefan.

"If you put it that way, I feel that Ren should marry Justin." Leia shook her head, sounding melancholic. "Mr. and Mrs. Hunt are decent people, and the Hunt family is the head of The Great Eight of Beach City. Everyone admires them. But they fought others just to win Ren back. They'd rather be the laughingstocks, Stefan didn't even dare to come here though he's the main person involved. He doesn't deserve to make peace with Ren!"

The two reached the same opinion.

When the ceremony was about to start, the ancient clock rang and started counting down. Everyone looked toward the entrance, waiting for Renee and Justin to enter the hall...
