"It's gone?" Renee frowned, and subconsciously touched her pocket. Her phone, which was supposed to be there, was gone too."It must be that man! He stole them when we weren't paying attention!"

Renee tried to recall their brief encounter with that man. He seemed to have touched her pocket as well. She had been careless because she was focused on keeping the peace.

"Your phone's gone too?" Leia asked anxiously, looking at the solemn Renee.
