The Unexpected Princess

Chapter Welcome Home

We were all sitting around Abby’s living room. Jake’s parents here to.

“What’s this all about?” Jake’s father asked. “Well, there’s something Snow needs to talk to you about.” Jake said. I looked over at Ethan who was sitting beside me, then back at Zach who was leaning against the wall. They both nodded,

“Well it’s a really long story, when I left, I went to a place called Engor, that’s where these two live. I was invited for a choosing to see who was Ethan’s mate.” Jake’s mom cut me off, “Mate? That doesn’t make any sense.” She said. “Well I’m a shape shifter, all three of us are, we can take the shape of any animal of our choosing.” I said. “Is this some kind of joke?” Abby’s dad asked. I shook my head. “Would you like us to show you?” Ethan asked. They all nodded.

Ethan and I stood and Zach walked over to us. I shifted into a white tiger and the boys in their wolf forms. They all looked horrified, well except Abby and Jake. We shifted back and sat back down. None of them knew what to do,

“We like for you all to come with us to Engor, you would live with us in the castle.” Ethan explained. Both couples exchanged glances, Jake’s mom was the first to speak up,

“I’ve known you since you were in diapers, and I never knew that this was possible, but what I do know, is that it would be a curse to separate you three, we’ll do it.” She said. I stood up and hugged her. “Well I guess if you think it’s a good idea, then we’ll go to.” Abby’s mom said. I ran over to Abby and Jake and we grouped hugged. I’m so happy, I get to go back with my mate, and my two best friends. “Let’s go Jake.” Jake and his parents left. I sighed and plopped in the couch. My life is finally falling into place. Ethan stood over me and smiled down at me,

“Well someone’s happy.” He laughed. I stood up and wrapped him in a hug. “Well, I get to go back, and I’m bringing my two best friends with me, why wouldn’t I be happy?” I asked. He smiled and kissed my forehead. Abby gagged, “Get a room you two.” She said. I laughed and rested my head on Ethan’s chest. Today has been amazing, and I was stressing over nothing. I thought that they would forbid me from ever seeing them again. I sighed happily and turned to look at Zach who was smiling.

“What are you grinning about?” I asked. “Well now that you’re coming back, Ethan will stop being so mopey and annoying.” He laughed. “Yeah well you’re always annoying.” Ethan said. I rolled my eyes, those two, always bickering. I walked over to Abby,

“Come on, I’ll help you pack.” I said. We walked up the stairs and into her bedroom. I opened her closet and began pulling out her clothes. She grabbed some suitcases and set them on the bed. She sighed and stared out the window. I placed my arm on her shoulder,

“You okay?” I asked. “Yeah, it’s just that, this is my home, I’ve lived here all my life, and now I’m moving to a totally new place,” she looked at me, “now don’t take this as I don’t want to go, I do, it’s just, I’m a little scared.” She said. I pulled her into a hug. “To be honest, i’m a little scared to.” I said. We laughed and started to pack up her stuff. When we finished the sun was just starting to set, Jake walked into the room,

“You guys ready?” He asked. I nodded. The three of us took Abby’s bags downstairs. We met the parents and the princes in the living room, I sat on the loveseat beside Ethan. He placed his arm around my shoulder and I leaned against him. He kissed the top of my head.

“We’ll leave for the airport tomorrow. They don’t know we’re coming back, so this should surprise them.” Zach said. “Thank you, for doing this.” I whispered to Ethan. He smiled, “I’d do anything for you.” He said. Then there was loud pounding on Abby’s front door. Abby’s mom opened the door and stepped aside. Ashton walked into the house and his eyes landed on me.

“There you are.” He said. I stood. “What do you want Ashton?” I asked. He gaze landed on Ethan and he glared at him, “So what? You’re dating this loser now? Are you serious?” He asked. Ethan stood but I gave him a look and he didn’t move. Zach came and stood beside me. He had his arms crossed over his chest, glaring at Ashton. I smirked,

“You sure got a mouth on you.” I began to walk over to him. “If you wanna call anyone a loser, it should be you, I mean the date wasn’t even over, and you struck out,” I nodded my head towards Ethan, “we’ve never been on a date, and he struck in. How does that make you feel?” I asked. I smirked as he swallowed nervously. I walked past him and opened the front door,

“You can leave now.” I said. He started to walk when he stopped. He reached down to the table next to the couch, there was a glass of water sitting there. Before I could react he threw the water at Ethan and Zach. Ashton smirked while the brothers growled. I grabbed Ashton’s arm and lifted it up, I twisted it behind his back and jerked it, knocking the glass out of his hands it shattered on the floor. I moved his arm higher and he groaned in pain. I turned to the door and pushed him out, he fell in a mountain of snow.

“Later loser.” And I closed the door.I turned to face the people in the room. Zach was smirking at me, I walked over to them,

“Are you guys okay?” I asked. “Yeah just a little wet, but what are you gonna so?” Ethan asked. I smiled and walked over to that broken glass. I bent down and started to pick up the broken glass. Ethan bent down in front of me to help me. I looked up at him,

“You should get out of those wet clothes.” I said. His gold eyes met mine and he smiled, “Don’t worry about it, I’ll be fine.” He said. I smiled, when I heard something trickle onto the ground, I looked down and saw blood. I accidentally closed my hand and the glass cut into my hand. “Ow, dammit.” I gasped. I opened my hand and the glass fell onto the floor. “Here, I’ll help.” Zach picked up the blood glass and I stood up. I walked into the kitchen and turned on the water, I put my hand underneath the warm water and it turned red.

“Here.” Abby handed me a pair a tweezers. I took them from her and picked out the pieces of glass out of my hand. When I was finished I wrapped my hand in gauze.

“You okay?” Abby asked. I nodded and yawned. “Yeah, but I’m tired so I’m gonna go to bed.” I said. She nodded and I walked out of the kitchen. “Oh Snow there you are, we decided that you could share the guest room with Ethan.” Abby mom said. I looked at Ethan and he smiled. I rolled my eyes playfully and we walked up the stairs. I opened the door and we walked inside, I grabbed a blanket and pillow and laid them on the floor.

“What are you doing?” Ethan asked. “I’m sleeping on the floor.” I said. He scoffed. “Yeah right, like I’m gonna let you sleep on the floor.” He said. I sighed and laid down. I felt arms underneath me and I was picked up off the floor, “You can sleep on the bed.” He set me down and covered me up. When he turned around I grabbed his arm, “Or we can both sleep on the bed.” I said. He smiled and I moved the blanket, he laid down next to me. He laid on his side and wrapped his arms around my waist. I laid my head on his chest and smiled softly. When I breathed in I could smell him, he smelled like the woods, and it comforted me. I felt him place a kiss on the top of my head.

Bonne Nuit Princesse.” I looked up at Ethan. “What does that mean?” I asked. He smiled. “It means good night princess. It’s French.” He said. “Where did you learn French?” I asked. He smiled. “As a prince, I can speak many languages, I learned when I was a child.” I smiled. “You should speak French more often.” He smiled and kissed my forehead. “Goodnight.” I whispered. I fell asleep to the feeling of his lips on my forehead.

Réveillez- papillon,” I heard Ethan’s voice. My eyes fluttered open and I saw him staring down at me. I smiled and rolled over on my side. “And what does that mean?” I asked. “Wake up Butterfly.” I smiled. “Butterfly? I like it.” He smiled. “Well then wake up and spread your wings, we’re leaving.” He kissed my forehead and helped me out of bed. I stretched felling my muscles pop. I walked out of the room and into Abby’s, she was just finishing dressed. I closed the door softly behind me and walked over to her closet.

“Gosh is it just me or is it really cold today?” Abby asked. “It is colder then usual.” I said. I opened her closet and quickly changed clothes. I changed into a pair of black jeans, a burgundy long sleeve shirt with the word ‘Dope’ on it, burgundy ugg boots, a black scarf and a white and black striped beanie. When I finished getting dressed the two of us walked down stairs where everyone was waiting. Ethan walked up to me and draped his arm over my shoulder.

“Ready to go home Papillon?” He asked. I nodded and he smiled. I looked at Zach and he smirked. I laughed and we all piled into the rather large car. “What’s Engor like?” Abby’s mom asked. I looked over at Ethan, “It’s beautiful, and there are a lot of different creatures there, like Chimera’s, Shape-Shifters, Mermaids and other stuff.” He explained. “Whoa whoa wait. Mermaids are real?” Jake asked. I nodded, “Yeah, where do you The Little Mermaid came from?” I asked. Jake rolled his eyes and we laughed. When we pulled up at the airport we all got out and grabbed our bags. They took our bags and we walked onto the plane.

“Where’s everyone else?” Abby asked. “This is one of our private planes.” Zach said. “Holy shit, that’s awesome.” Jake said. I laughed and sat down, I felt someone sit beside me. I rested my head on Ethan’s shoulder. He intertwined our fingers and kissed the back of my hand. I smiled and kissed his cheek,

“I’m glad you decided to come home.” He whispered. “Me too.” I said. “Get some sleep Papillon, I know your tired.” He said. He asked Zach to get him a blanket. He lifted up the armrest and I rested my head in his lap. Zach handed him a blanket and he covered me. up. He kissed my forehead and played with my hair. I smiled and slowly fell asleep.

Papillon we’re home.” Ethan whispered. I opened my eyes and stretched. I stood up and walked over to the window. I smiled as I saw looked over Engor. When the plane landed we all got off of the plane. I turned to Abby and Jake,

“Welcome to Engor.” I said. They both laughed and we group hugged. “You know, people are looking at you like you’re crazy.” Zach said. I looked at him, “I am crazy.” He just chuckled. We all walked out of the airport where there were two cars waiting for us. The parents got into one car, and Abby, Ethan, Jake, Zach and I got in the second car.

“So that don’t know that we’re here?” I asked. “Well John knows, he’s bringing everyone out into the garden so we can surprise them.” Zach explained. I nodded, When we pulled up at the castle, I smiled and got out of the car, the royal family, my parents, Chloe, Maliya and Pegasus were standing there. When I stepped out of the car Chloe and Maliya ran towards me. They tackled me to the ground.

“Snow you’re back!” Chloe cheered. “Yeah, and I would like to breath.” I groaned. They laughed and got off of me. Chloe held out her hand, I took it and she pulled me to my feet. I hugged my parents, Anna and the king. I walked up to John and ruffled his hair. ”

“What’s up shorty?” I asked. I felt someone nudge my back. I turned to see Pegasus standing there. I smiled and hugged her to. I rubbed her nose and she snorted happily. I laughed lightly. I grabbed Abby and Jake’s arms and led them to the royal family.

“This is Abby and Jake, they’re my best friends.” I said. Anna smiled. “Welcome to Engor. I will have someone show you all to your rooms.” She said. I looked at the castle, that would now forever be my home.
