The Transfer

Chapter 81 - Warm Bodies

I walked down the hallway, Gwendoline following quickly behind me. I glanced back at her and smiled. I was incredibly glad that I was going to be to be friends with the female.

Bodie was returning back to Takiani. He was going to stay with Ezra, Jenny and I. Gwendoline was obviously going with Bodie, and she'd be moving in also. I was excited to get to know the both of them.

I supposed that we needed to get back to Takiani first.

I didn't care though. I was happy for them both. I was especially happy for Bodie. I was excited that he was getting to return to Takiani. I didn't know what he was going to tell people when they asked about where he'd been. Henry had told everyone that he'd died. Everyone would be more than confused.

He deserved to be happy, and Gwendoline made him happy.

"You ready? We're already late,” Bodie asked us both as we walked into the kitchen. I nodded and looked to Gwendoline who nodded too. He smiled as we turned and headed towards the door. We'd been invited to lunch at Nicolas’ house. Apparently Liam's family had a lot of family lunches and dinners. I enjoyed seeing the family so often. It was different from what I was accustomed to. We left the house and treaded quickly down the trail that lead to Nicolas’ house. It was a five minute walk if we walked quickly.

"Did Rae and Jax make it back to Terialta safely?" Bodie asked me as we walked. I looked to him, noticing his hand that was intertwined with Gwendoline's. I envied them both.

"Yep. They said the trip was boring," I replied as I playfully rolled my eyes.

Rae and Jax had gone back to Terialta on demand. Beckett requested that they returned as he needed them for business, or something like that. I didn't mind that they left, but they weren't so happy. Rae didn't want to leave me because he thought someone would try to kill me, and Jax didn't want to leave because he thought I'd try to kill someone.

But they left eventually and made it home safe within a few hours.

I didn't mind that they weren't around. I had to return to Takiani some time. I just needed to wait a little longer. I didn't know what to do with the new information that I had. I dreaded having to tell Liam.

But it would have to wait. It wasn't the right time.

I knocked on the door to Nicolas’ house and waited for an answer. Trixie was the one who opened the door. I grinned at the little girl.

"Hey kiddo!" I greeted her. She pulled the door open all the way and hugged me tightly, her arms wrapped around my legs. She was still so tiny.

I could already smell the strength on her and knew that she'd be a strong beast. The same with her cousins. They were all growing so fast.

"Hi Ali. Hi Bodie, hi Gwenny," Trixie greeted as she pulled away from me. I flashed her a wide grin and she let us inside. We shut the door behind us and then continued down the hallway.

I heard the voices of everyone in the house and I felt my headache ease a little. I had had a nonstop headache. I didn't know what it was from. Bodie kept telling me it was because of my separation with Liam, but I didn't want to believe it.

If I was really feeling sick from not being with Liam, that would mean that I really should be with him.

I knew he was pissed at me for not talking to him every day like he wanted me to. But I knew that I'd cave in if I did. It was better for the moment.

"Better late than never, right?" Darcy said as I walked into the room. The older female offered me a smile and chuckled a little. I rolled my eyes playfully and shook my head.

"You can blame our lateness on Ali this time. She took forever in the shower,” Gwendoline said, nudging my arm as she passed me. I crossed my arms and let out a stubborn huff.

My beast yipped.

Darcy laughed she came forwards and rubbed my cheek with hers. I smiled warmly and the followed her over to the table where everyone else was sat.

"Hey Kenny," I said as I sat down at the table next to Kendall. She looked to me and grinned.

"Hey there," she greeted back. I tucked my hair behind my ears. The only advantage of being late was that the food was already plated up on the table.

"You look happy today. Any particular reason?" Jonathan, who sat on my left, nudged me. I frowned at him and shrugged. Did I look happy?

Across the table, Nicolas reached forwards and tried to slap his nephew across the head. "Shut up!” I raised my eyebrows at their interaction. What the hell? Jonathan just chuckled and then continued to plate up food. Nicolas quickly got involved in another conversation.

I looked to Kendall who just smirked. Did they all know something that I didn't?

"What you smiling about?" I asked her. She giggled and shook her head.

"Oh. Just nothing,” she replied in a suspicious tone. She was definitely giggling about something. I rolled my eyes and started to put food onto my plate.

I felt someone poke my shoulder, and I turned around quickly. It was Wesley and Jason. I grinned at the two of them.

"Hey boys, what you up to? Are you gonna eat some lunch?" I tilted my head at them. They both giggled at me and shook their heads.

"You have to come with us," Wesley told me. I raised my eyebrows at them. What?

"Where are we going?" I asked them. They both giggled at me and shook their heads.

"Can't tell you. Come on! We'll miss it!" Jason said. I huffed out and looked back to Nicolas. He shrugged at me. I got up and left the table, following the two boys.

"Is this the part where you two sneak me into your secret hideout?" I asked them after we stepped out the front door. They both giggled at me and shook their heads as we walked.

"Where did they say we were supposed to go again?" Wesley whispered to Jason. They both stopped walking and paused.

They'd already forgotten where we were going. How adorable.

"Boys, where are we going?" I asked them. They turned around to face me and then giggled. I frowned at them as I felt a hand on my waist and then the hair of my neck stand up.

I widened my eyes as I spun around to face Liam.

What the hell? What was he doing here?

My insides exploded with happiness as I leant forwards and wrapped my arms around Liam. I hugged him tightly and he chuckled and hugged me back.

"Thanks boys. You better get back inside now," Liam said, talking to Wesley and Jason. I heard their giggles and then the two of them running away.

I held onto Liam tight as my entire body tingled. I felt the bond go crazy, wild and erotic thoughts flying around my mind.

His beast rumbled and the vibration went through his chest.

"How are you here?" I asked him as I hugged him tighter. He chuckled a little and rubbed my back. His touch made every hair on my body stand up. I felt so energetic and happy.

"Nicolas told me to come. He said you were real down lately," Liam replied, kissing the side of my head. I rolled my eyes. Of course. Nicolas had set this up.

"I'm so glad you're here,” I told him honestly. He sighed out as he pulled away from me and grabbed my hand.

"Come on, let's go," He said, motioning to the woods again. I frowned at him and pointed back to the house.

"But they've got lunch on in there," I said. Liam chuckled and shook his head.

"I'll make you lunch if you're that hungry, sugar,” Liam told me. I grinned at him and nodded as we turned and headed back to my house.

The walk was blissful. Liam was buzzing. His blood hummed louder than ever and his warmth engulfed me. I felt warm, safe, protected

When we got inside, I lead Liam into the kitchen. He sniffed and screwed up his nose.

"Who have you been having sex with in here?" He asked jokingly. I rolled my eyes at him.

"It's the other two people in here with. They're new mates," I replied as I went to the kitchen. I didn't let go of Liam's hand as I walked over to the refrigerator. I pulled it open, and looked for something good to eat.

I felt hands on my neck, fingertips brushing against my skin. Liam pulled my hair back and then I felt his hot breath before his lips on my neck. He kissed softly and slowly.

"Let's do something else," he whispered against my skin. I grinned and turned around to face him. Liam closed the gap between us. His kissed me softly, his tongue in my mouth, my hands around his neck and in his hair. I sighed against his mouth and melted into him. I had missed him so much. Liam grabbed me and with one movement, my legs were around his waist and he was carrying me to the bedroom. He followed my scent and walked into my room, shutting the door hard behind us. He tossed me onto the bed roughly, which I liked way more than I should have. I giggled as he tore off his shirt and then came onto me. He hovered over me as he kissed me again.

I rubbed my leg along his side and pulled him closer with my arms. He was so warm.

Liam's hands roamed fast. They made their way to the buttons of my jeans, unbuttoning quickly, desperately. I sighed into his mouth again as he undid the zipper and then tugged down my jeans quickly. He pulled them off my feet and then tossed them away as he kissed me again.

Liam kissed me senseless, and then we made love that sealed our bond. Forever.
