Chapter My Nephew Leonard 436
Chapter 436
"Don't tell me this is what you're giving Hendrix for his birthday."
The sudden voice startled Noelle, causing her to nearly ruin the clay she was shaping.
Seline ignored Noelle's reaction and sat down beside her, clicking her tongue. "Isn't that a little cheap of you? I mean, he is the high and mighty general manager of Amity Group, after all."
"I'm just doing this for fun."
Noelle quickly refocused on her work.
Seline clicked her tongue again.
Noelle kept her head down as she asked, "Didn't you say you'll be busy for these few days? So, how do you have time to come here today?"
"Yes, I'm busy, but it's always with the same old nonsense. If it weren't for my dad forcing me to go to those endless dinners and gatherings, I wouldn't have gone at all. Seline leaned back in her chair as she spoke.
Noelle merely smiled in response. She wasn't much of a talker, and with her focus on the clay, her silence wasn't unusual. What surprised her, though, was how unusually quiet Seline was today.
Noelle stopped shaping her clay and turned to find Seline staring at her, lost in thought.
"Is there something you want to say to me?" she asked.
Seline seemed startled by her question. She quickly shook her head and said, "No. What would I have to say?"
Noelle frowned.
Seline quickly changed the topic, "By the way, I haven't seen Hendrix around lately. Is he busy, too?" "Yeah, I guess so."
Noelle quickly turned back to her clay.
"Have you asked him what he's been up to lately?" Seline asked again.
Noelle finally sensed something was off. "Why? Did something happen to him?"
Seline fell silent.
Noelle frowned. She was about to press further when the ceramics instructor brought out her finished piece from the morning.
"Ms. Swanson, here's the cup you've made. I must say, it turned out beautifully!"
Noelle glanced at the gradient-colored cup, then turned back to Seline. "You still haven't answered my question.'
"It's nothing, really," Seline said, forcing a smile. "I just heard he's been spending a lot of time with someone recently."
Noelle had initially thought it was something serious, but she relaxed after hearing Seline's answer. "Who?" she asked, about to turn back to her clay when Seline replied, "A woman."
Noelle's hand froze. "Oh? What woman?"
"How should I know? He's your
your husband. You guys share the same bed every night, yet you're asking me this?"

Seline shot back.
"Then, how do you know about this?"
"I heard it from others! You know how it is-those women at the events I attend are always gossiping about things like this."
"That means it's not reliable."
Noelle's voice remained calm, but her hand movements were noticeably unsteady, causing the cup she was shaping to become lopsided. In the end, she simply gave up
"Anyway, you should still ask Hendrix when you get home know you trust that he's devoted to you, but you know his status. No, forget his status-just his good looks alone are enough to make countless women throw themselves at him."
Noelle chuckled. "Alright. I'll ask him later."
Seline rolled her eyes at her nonchalant response. "Forget it. Why do I even bother worrying if you don't even care about it? Are you done here? Let's go grab something to eat!"
The topic was dropped just like that.
Before leaving, Noelle carefully wrapped the cup she had made.
