Chapter 338
Chapter 338
The location Hendrix mentioned turned out to be a private villa by the seaside. As the car entered the estate, Noelle noticed a warning sign outside the gates indicating that the area was off-limits to outsiders. Clearly, Hendrix wasn't considered one of them.
A man dressed in a long-tail tuxedo approached their car as soon as it stopped, his posture respectful as he opened the door for them.
"This is Robert Pike, the butler here," Hendrix introduced briefly.
Noelle nodded politely toward the man, who returned the gesture with a courteous bow before stepping aside to lead the way.
"Mr. Freeman, Mr. Lawson is already waiting inside," Robert informed.
Hendrix simply hummed in response.
As they walked through the front hall, Noelle quickly took in the villa's interior. The space was predominantly white, with soaring ceilings and an expansive layout. The grandeur made her feel as though she had stepped into a palace/
Hearing the sound, the man in front quickly turned around. He had a handsome face, with nice blonde locks. He was holding a wine glass in his hand, but the moment he saw Hendrix, a smile quickly spread across his face.
Erwin Larson took a few brisk steps forward. "Hendrix, you're here?"
Hendrix nodded, and the two shook hands before sharing a brief hug.
Then, Hendrix pulled Noelle over and introduced her, "This is my wife, Noelle."
Erwin's eyes, which had been solely focused on Hendrix, finally shifted toward Noelle upon hearing this. His brows furrowed almost immediately.
It was obvious he wasn't impressed with Noelle. However, out of politeness, he still lifted his chin slightly in her direction and said, "Hello."
Noelle smiled and nodded at him.
Hendrix noticed the awkwardness and explained to her, "Don't mind him. He's always like this."
Noelle responded with a soft "oh".
While the two were simply conversing, Erwin appeared rather displeased. He abruptly pulled Hendrix aside, saying he had just acquired a new painting and wanted Hendrix to admire it with him.
Hendrix glanced at Robert, who immediately understood. With a polite smile, Robert gestured to Noelle and guided her to the living room for drinks.
"What do you want to drink?"
Although Robert looked like a local from Coppersville, he had lived here for a long time, so it influenced his accent
a little.
"Earl Grey
tea, please," said Noelle.
Robert nodded and asked someone to prepare it.
Noelle originally thought Erwin had genuinely taken Hendrix to admire a painting. But after finishing an cup of tea and still not seeing them return, she began to grow suspicious.

She glanced at Robert. "May I use the stroom?"
"Of course," he replied immediately, raising his hand to signal someone to accompany her.
Noelle understood that they weren't about to monitor her. was simply because finding the restroom in such a vast place without guidance would indeed be a challenge.
After finishing her business in the restroom, Noelle stepped out, only to hear faint voices coming from another hallway.
"I'd like to find my husband. Is that okay?" she asked the maid standing behind her.
"Of course! Go ahead." The maid was very respectful.
Noelle then walked in that direction.

"You once told me to be rid of the shackles of marriage, didn't you?"
Erwin's voice floated through the slightly ajar door, crisp and deliberate, carrying the unmistakable
precision of a classic accent. Despite it having been ages since Noelle had immersed herself in the language,
clear as day to her now.
Her steps came to an abrupt halt.
