Chapter Chapter Sixty: My Four Special Boys. I Love Them So
“Holy shit on shingles!” Phillippe exclaimed.
“Oh, Goddess,” Taylor and Terrell yelled.
My mates were speechless, the Sons of Enya and Olodom- the five teen demigods that I thought could handle seeing me go into labor- passing out cold and falling like dominoes.
I shifted into Amon-Re’s wolf form briefly and howled as the crowd grew wild before shifting back and placing my hands on my hips. “Really?” I said. “That’s your reaction?!”
“Somebody do something,” Destiny said in exasperation, throwing her hands up in the air. “His mates are standing around like jackasses and Malachi’s getting ready to pop out his kids at this church.”
“Might not be a bad thing,” Abaddon joked. That earned him a slap on the head by both Gabe and Mike and a punch in the stomach by both Alyssa and Addison.
“Will someone take me to the hospital?!” I bellowed, starting to get very angry and pissed off.
“I got you covered,” Elias Yeung (Chai out of drag) offered as he led me down the stairs and into Divinity’s trusty Mercedes sedan. “No time for the hospital since the place’s backed up. We’re heading to the palace as we speak.”
Divinity nodded as she was led by the police escort. “We got Settel and two more doctors on standby,” she said. “You’re okay, Malachi?”
I nodded, steeling away another contraction as I started my breathing. “Peachy,” I said. “But I’m barring my husbands from the bedroom after today. You’d think that they’d be prepared for this moment.”
The two young adults laughed loudly. “Child, this is like when you and your brothers were born,” Divinity commented as we turned onto the familiar street that led to the palace. “Your dad sneezed and everyone was panicking over his water breaking while he remained cool as a cucumber. I can only imagine what they’re going to be like when they come out of the shock.”
“True,” Elias hummed. “But let’s get you to the palace. I want to be by your side when your Omega sons are born. I can’t wait to be a kickass godfather. Renatha, Amerie, and Firella are already planning the big moments for their birthday parties!”
You guys, it pays to have drag queens and gays for friends. They can definitely keep you company and leave you in peace when times get tough.
***************
“Anything?” I heard Damien ask impatiently as he and my other husbands huddled around the doctor who was currently seated at my feet.
The were-bear gave them a heated glare. “Back up,” she snarled, her eyes glowing to show her beast. “This takes lots of time and patience. Sometimes labor can go on for hours.”
I sneezed and pushed.
And then, a baby cry.
“Oh, God,” whimpered Ian as he and the mates passed out. Again.
“Seriously?! Alissa the nurse said in exasperation before sending me a wan smile. “I guess that keeps them out for a while.
I nodded as one nurse came to collect the firstborn Omega quadruplet.
I sneezed again just as Gavin and Ferdinand barged in...and also passed out as the second nurse collected the second born.
Sneeze number three heralded my third-born...and sent both demon twins back outside and heading to the restroom to blow chunks.
And then came sneeze number four that made Alain scream like a little girl before he raced out of the room.
Alphas. When it comes to ruling the pack, they’re all macho. But when it coems to their mate giving birth...then they turn into chickens.
Dad came in laughing as he was followed by the Vincenzo family. “I swear,” he wheezed. “This...is perfect blackmail material. Son, how are you doing right now?”
I smiled siftly as tiredness gave way, my eyelids drooping. “Ask me again after I get some sleep and then eat some Taco Bell,” I muttered, the darkness granting me blissful peace.
***************
One hour later, I was wide awake and happily nursing a large cup of water as each of the nurses held a baby with my mates surrounding me. “What shall we name them?” Ivan asked me.
I motioned for the first nurse to bring me the firstborn son. “Our firstborn seems to be more of the wisdom-full kind,” I noted. “Arian. Arian Hunter DuBauer.”
Then came the sniffles of the secondborn as the nurse holding him showed me his head was covered by mixtures of brown hair and baby snakes. “He looks like he’s going to be a fiery Omega that will need lots of attention,” Aivox commented. “I’m thinking Michelon.”
I nodded. “Michelon Tristian DuBauer,” I piped up. “I like it.”
The thirdborn let out soft coos as the nurse showed me his angelic face...and his first set of wings. “Such an angel,” I murmured. “Sandalphon. Sandalphon Christiano DuBauer.”
“Such a name,” Nathaniel purred, ticking the angelic boy’s feet.
The fourth and final nurse brought me the final son who...looked a LOT like Olodom from his red eyes to his full head of hair (that also had some coppertop snakes in the mix). But when he saw my Five-Dollar Quesarito box, he licked his lips.
“Oh, hell,” Cyler muttered playfully. “He’s a mix of Olodom AND you, babe.”
I smirked. “And I got the perfect name for him- our sassy and classy fourth-born Omega son,” I commented. “Jacerimiah. Jacerimiah Admetus Cameron Eric DuBauer- or ‘Jace’ for short.”
“You did good, babe,” Ian crooned, coming over to kiss my lips. “And we love you.”
“And I love you as well.”
“Enough for a future round for four Alpha boys?” Yavier asked eagerly.
I frowned. “Not that much,” I retorted. To the nurses, “Can you guys make sure to get their names down and then put them to their bassinets so they can sleep?”
“Of course,” one said. “Congratulations, Your Majesty. Long may You reign- our Sun God Wolf King.”
The other ladies knelt slowly while keeping my children in their arms tight. “Long may He reign.”
I snuggled closer to my mates, the love flowing all around with the mixture of feeling...like a god. I could get used to this.
Epilogue: “There is another Moon Wolf, Carson. Another DuBauer.”
Third-Person POV
“What a day,” Carson breathed as he and his mates- Gavin, Ferdinand, Nicholas, Dominic, Francisco, Quentin, Anis, Zechariah, and Alain gathered around the large waiting room as various patients and doctors stopped by to congratulate them on their new additions to their family. “My only Omega baby boy now has four Omega baby boys. Finally, someone to teach them the ways of being an Omega.”
“Ah, do you fear that the spark is gone, love?” Gavin teased playfully, his Russian accent laced with seduction. “Perhaps it’s time to expand our own empire- give the triplets Josiah, Roger, and Eric a baby brother or sister to protect.”
“And we can always use some BDSM to keep you satiated with desire and passion,” Alain added seductively, softly blowing in Carson’s ear while Zechariah was licking his lips seductively.
“Ah, jeez,” Iain whined as he and Archer joined them, matching smiles on their faces. “What did we miss?”
“Nothing much,” Carson piped up just as he saw the familiar ethereal light that had everyone standing up to their feet and ready to bow as the light formed into Trinity (the Moon Goddess) as She stood proudly. “Your Grace.”
“At ease,” She said as She joined Her sons. “Today is a day of celebrations, so please take time to let yourselves heal and enjoy some food that will be on the way.”
The patients and their families as well as the doctors and nurses and other healthcare workers cheered happily.
“Carson,” She said to the young man in mind-link. “I’ll need to speak to you and your brothers/fathers at once. I have to tell you something- something that you three must know.”
Carson nodded, smiling and nodding politely thought he could feel his Mother’s rage as if there was something wrong- something that had already happened or something was about to happen. “Will my mates and family know?” he asked.
“Yes, but not today. Tomorrow is when I will tell them. Only you, Iain, and Archer must know immediately. Meet me at the Chapel. I will have guards to keep out unwanted guests.”
“As you wish.”
Carson looked over at his fathers/brothers, who nodded in return as if they knew what She told him.
***************
Thirty minutes later, the three Moon Wolves were in front of a stone-faced Trinity as She and the other gods and goddesses (with Thebes of the blue djinn) in front of the altar. “What is it, Mother?” asked Iain.
Trinity took a deep breath. “My sons, you know that I said that there are three of you, right?” She asked, her voice filled with pain.
“Yes,” Archer breathed. “What’s wrong?”
“There are actually four of you- one of them that I just gave birth to you before Malachi and his brothers were born into the world,” She said. “And he is not only the last Moon Wolf in our family lineage, but he is also the last prophetic deity that I will bestow of him- the Winter Gorgon.”
The young men gasped. “You mean-” Carson began.
She nodded as Iapetus joined her side. “I’ve been keeping my eyes on him for a long time since he was taken in by a werewolf pack north of Dallas,” she said. “And as much as I hoped that he would not have to suffer as you did, Carson...some things were beyond my control as the pack that he grew up in was full of evil. With only the pups and the adults showing him compassion as well as a community of humans, vampires, human elementals, and fairies; the teens there have shown him nothing but hatred since he shifted into an Omega wolf with snakes for fur and hair.”
She snapped her fingers to depict a skinny and despondent Hispanic teen male who looked no more than seventeen. “This is your brother,” she said. “Marithe. Marithe Lennox-Sinclaire, but his REAL name is Marithe Francis Eviare DuBauer- your brother.”
“He looks sad,” Iain replied. “His wolf?”
The image changed into a tall and powerful wolf that had silver fur that also had a mixture of sterling-silver cobras that hissed. “This is Aikito, his wolf,” she said.
“Impressive,” Archer breathed.
“Yes,” said Vinitra. “Sadly, the teens there, save for those in the nearby communities, forbade him to shift and made him live in worse conditions than that of Carson’s old home back at the Four Aces Pack.”
“What?!” the boys said angrily.
It was then Thebes’ turn to speak. “That’s not all, Your Majesties,” he said morosely. “The future twin Alpha males had just turned eighteen as of yesterday and while their wolves wanted to mate with Marithe, the young man rejected him in favor of two sisters who did most of the bullying. The worse part? They, according to one fey and one human elemental who were one of Marithe’s friends, saw the poor lad being decapitated, tortured, and even eaten by all of the teens at their school before the twin future Alphas had sex with their newly-claimed females on his body and then threw his remains into the Rio Grande. They have notified the boys’ parents as well as those of the other teens. And they have told them- as well as myself and the water nymphs sent by Aurora to spy on him and keep him company- all we are telling you.”
Carson...was sad that he collapsed to the ground and sobbed.
Iain and Archer...were ready to kill the teens involved in their brother’s death and heartbreak. “When do we leave for this pack?” Archer asked, keeping his voice calm.
The Moon Goddess smiled brightly. “The day after tomorrow,” she said. “Malachi will need his mates to keep him distracted and to love his newborns. Carson, your other sons- the ten Alphas and the Beta triplets as well as the Vincenzo clan will accompany us. However, you will need to stand strong for Marithe’s sake. Like you, he will be given new mates that will love him- seven dragon/mermen whom I have talked with. And you two will learn a lot from each other as well as Malachi. Together, the three of you will usher in a new golden age where supernaturals and humans can live in peace and harmony.”
“Yes, Mother,” Carson said as he wiped his eyes. “Is Marithe-”
“The boy’s body is in a hospital in Dallas,” Iapetus intoned. “One of the Alphas miles from the brutal pack found him and had him transferred. He’s comatose, like you were, Carson. But he is resting in the void and will learn of his legacy soon enough.”
The three princes nodded. “We will trust in Your plan, Mother,” they vowed as one. “Marithe will come home and will be loved.”
“That’s all I ask,” the Moon Goddess replied. “Now, have faith and trust in my plan. Trust in the power of family. Most of all, trust yourselves.”
The gods and goddesses faded away as Thebes disappeared.
Carson nodded to his brothers, muttering about needing some air. “This is fucked up,” Iain breathed as he took a seat in one of the pews as Archer joined him. “Poor kid. That pack will pay for their sins.”
“Agreed,” Archer replied. “He will need us more than ever. Marithe Lennox-Sinclaire, hold on and rest. your chariots of freedom will arrive.”
And that...was a promise.
