The Sinner: A Dark College Romance

The Sinner: Chapter 33

I GET OUT of bed when I hear the doorbell ring. A look at my phone on the nightstand shows it’s five in the evening. Right on time.

Leaning over the bed, I push her blond hair from her face. “Elli, wake up.” I kiss her warm cheek, making her stir.

“Hmm?” she mumbles.

“Wake up and get dressed.”

Her eyes flutter open, and she looks around aimlessly before they land on mine. The doorbell rings again and she sits straight up, eyes now wide.

“Get dressed and meet me in the dining room,” I say, pulling on my T-shirt from earlier and getting my jeans on. I exit the room without further explanation.

Opening the front door, the man smiles at me as he enters. “Good evening, Easton.”

He follows me into the formal dining room, and he sits down at the table that I fucked Elli on just hours ago. His briefcase right where she lay wide open for me. Opening it up, he pulls out the papers that are needed and hands them to me.

I quickly scan them over, making sure everything is there that I requested. Nodding, I lay them on the table, and he pulls out a pen for me. I’m signing the last page when she enters.

“What’s going on?” She yawns, pushing her tangled hair from her sleepy eyes.

“We’ve got to make it official.” I pull out the chair and she sits down on it. “This is Mr. Tate. He has brought everything we need to sign in order to close on the house.”

She frowns at first but then nods.

“Everywhere you see a yellow tab is where you need to sign,” I inform her, pointing at the one on the first page.

“Okay.” She licks her lips before looking up at me. She looks like she wants to question it. As if I’d have any doubts that I want to spend the rest of my life with her in this house. I don’t. In fact, she has no clue what I have planned. For her, for us. Nothing short of death will take her from me.

Her eyes drop to the papers, and she signs the first one. Then I reach down and grab the corner of the paper, pulling it back just enough for her to see the tab at the bottom of the next page. After she signs, I do the next.

When I pass the fifth page, I look up at the man who sits across from her, and he gives me the slightest nod. I smile to myself, turning the page to the next.

My cell vibrates in my pocket, and I pull it out with my free hand to see it’s a text.

See you tomorrow.

I ignore it, pocketing it once again, and giving Elli all my attention as she continues to go through the paperwork, signing her name. She has no clue what I’m doing, but she will eventually. And then it’ll be too late.

ELLINGTON

LAST NIGHT WAS our first night in our home. After the guy left with all the paperwork signed, Sin carried me to our bed. We never left. Not even for dinner.

It was weird but nice knowing that we were going to wake up together. Knowing this is going to happen every day makes me smile.

I’ve never slept so peacefully in my life. The way his arms wrap around me makes me feel safe. And the way he fucked me… God, even the sex feels different, and it’s amazing. I’m on a high that I’ve never reached with drugs before.

I roll over and reach out for him but feel nothing but the cool sheets. My eyes open when I hear the bathroom door opening.

“Good morning, little demon.” He walks over to me and kisses my forehead.

My eyes fall shut. “Where are you going?” It’s a Saturday. We said we were going to stay home all day and do nothing but each other.

“I have to go to the house of Lords. Take care of some business.” He kisses my forehead again. “I’ll be back before you get up.”

“Okay,” I whisper. I hear the faint sound of the doors opening and closing as he makes his way out of the house. I pull the covers up to my neck when my cell rings.

Opening my eyes, I reach out and pick it up off the nightstand to see it’s Kira. “Hello?”

“Hey,” comes her soft voice.

I sit up, pushing my back into the white padded headboard, bringing the covers with me. “Hey, everything okay?” I haven’t spoken to her since the wedding reception two nights ago.

“Are you okay?” she asks.

“I’m fine, Kira.” I sigh, dropping my eyes to the comforter.

“I … I feel like so much is going on right now. With you and with me. We haven’t really had a chance to stop and talk. Just hang out.”

“We’ve been busy.” I love my friend, but I also understand that she’s seeing someone. I’ve never been one of those friends that is needy. I can go days, weeks even, without talking to you and then call you out of the blue and pick up where we left off, like we never went a day without seeing one another.

“Let’s get together tonight?” she suggests. “You, me, and the guys.”

“I’d love that.” She still hasn’t come out and told me she’s seeing Corbin but the fact that she was with him at the reception was all I needed to know. I also saw how Sin didn’t speak to him once. So I’m guessing that’s not going well. I haven’t told her we moved into this house. Well, technically neither one of us have moved our things in. Thankfully, the house came fully furnished, so all we have to do is get our clothes and a few other important things.

“Great, I’ll have Corbin message Sin.”

We say our goodbyes and I close my eyes, lying back down to get some more rest. My body is exhausted.

_______________

MY EYES OPEN when I hear the sound of the front door opening. Looking at my cell, I see he’s been gone for almost two hours. I stretch, feeling good that I went back to bed after talking to Kira.

A smile tugs at me lips when I hear the sound of his shoes walking to the bedroom. Our bedroom.

Fuck, it’s crazy to know that he just came home to me. The bedroom door opens, and he enters. I instantly sit up. “Everything okay?” I ask when I notice the way his jaw is set in a hard line. His pretty blue eyes narrowed in anger.

“Fine,” comes his clipped answer as he walks over to my side of the bed.

“Sin—”

He grabs a hold of my hair and yanks me down to the bed, cutting me off. My breathing accelerates when he leans over and places his face in front of mine. “You know the best part about coming home to you?”

I whimper at his words, but I manage to whisper, “What?”

With his free hand, he runs his knuckles over my nipple piercing. “That you’re already naked in our bed waiting for me to use you.”

I lift my hips off the mattress, my pussy clenching. “Yes,” I agree. Sin can use me any way he wants, whenever he wants. I’m his.
