Chapter Chapter Four: The Healing Salve

The Kraftmans followed the ambulance to the nearest hospital. They had to explain everything to the doctor who treated them. The doctor somewhat understood what had happened and treated them the best he could.

“They won’t be able to have sex for at least two weeks,” the doctor informed them.

“They can’t go that long,” Dustin grumbled.

The doctor snorted. “I’m sure your brother can go without sex for a couple of weeks.”

Shar moved over to the doctor and tried her hardest not to treat him the same as she had the paramedic.

“Look, doctor. I know you don’t know anything about shifters, being they don’t need a doctor because they heal so quickly. This is something that even those who have treated a shifter know nothing about. Fated Mates can’t go more than a day without having sex with each other without their minds and bodies reacting. They can both go insane if they have to wait two weeks to bond.”

“But she’s human….”

“Not anymore, Doc,” Dustin said as he pulled Shar against him. “The moment they bonded, she ceased to be human. She’s one of us, and she will go just as insane as my brother if they can’t mate and strengthen their bond.”

The doctor shook his head. “I’m sorry. I understand the circumstance, I think, but I don’t have a magic wand that I can wave around and make them better. Healing takes time. I can recommend putting them under for the two weeks.”

Dustin shook his head. “Their bodies will respond even if their brain doesn’t.”

The doctor frowned. “Then there’s nothing more I can do.” He turned and walked away.

Dustin growled angrily.

Shar turned in her mate’s arms. “He may not have a magic wand, but we do.” Shar reached into her purse and pulled out the card Pearl had given them all those months ago. She never leaves home without it—just in case.

Dustin grinned. “How often have you used that?”

She shrugged. “A few times. She mostly contacts us.”

He nodded. “Let’s see if she has something to help.”

Shar pulled out her phone and dialed the number. Pearl had asked that they not leave her information on their phones.

“Hello, Sharissa,” Pearl answered on the second ring.

“Pearl,” Shar said, her voice shaky.

“Shar, what’s wrong?” Pearl asked, concerned.

Shar told her about Dominic finding his mate, and she could hear the smile in Pearl’s voice when the witch said that she’d known they were next. Then Shar told her what had happened after their bonding, and Pearl growled. She hadn’t seen that.

“Do you have something that can heal them? The hospital can’t do much for them….”

“Of course,” Pearl said. “Have they sown Josie up yet?”

“I don’t think so.”

“Stop them. I need everything as it is. They can place icepacks on them, but nothing more. I will be there in fifteen minutes.”

“Thank you, Pearl,” Shar cried as she nodded to Dustin.

Dustin sighed with relief. “Thank the Goddesses.”

“Just one thing, Sharissa,” Pearl said before they hung up.

“What’s that?” Shar asked.

“They need to be in the same room, and no one but you two can be anywhere near the room.”

“That’s two things.” Shar snickered.

Pearl grunted. “Just do it, Sharissa. I’ll see you soon,” she said, then hung up.

Shar told Dustin everything Pearl said, and he nodded.

“Let’s do this.” Dustin took her hand, and they walked down the hall toward the rooms Dominic and Josie had been wheeled to.

It took ten minutes, but Shar and Dustin prevented the doctor from stitching up Josie and moved the two mates into a room together. It would have been easier if Tate was there, but he was off somewhere dealing with problems and wasn’t answering his phone.

The hardest part was getting Daryl, Dylan, and Drezden to go home. Shar convinced them that their mother should be told what was happening. They didn’t like it and didn’t like that the witch had so much control, but they left.

When Pearl arrived, Dominic and Josie were in two beds next to each other, holding hands and staring at each other. Pearl smiled when she entered the room.

That is why they needed to be in the same room,” she said, pointing to the couple.

“Figured as much,” Dustin said with a knowing smile.

“Okay, you two, this won’t be fun,” Pearl said as she walked up to the newly mated couple.

Dominic looked at her, his eyebrows furrowed. “You’re the witch?”

Pearl chuckled. “Yep, sure am.”

Dominic snorted. “I pictured an old hag.”

“Dom!” Shar shook her head.

Dominic shrugged. “Sorry, little sister, but it’s what I see when I think of witches.”

“My mother isn’t even an old hag,” Pearl said with a smile. “And she’s over a thousand years old.”

“You’re a witch?” Josie asked, her voice weak. Josie studied the other woman.

Pearl smiled. “That I am. A good one, though.” She smiled as she walked over to Josie’s bed and pulled something from her bag. “This will heal you up as good as new. It will be like it never happened,” she said, setting the salve on the bed. “You have a choice. Either I or Shar can place it on you or your mate….”

“No one else is touching her down there,” Dominic said with a growl. “If they hadn’t had me in a separate room from her, I’d have ripped the head off the doctor just for looking down there.”

Pearl nodded. “Understandable. Especially after what happened. If Shar had thought of me sooner, you wouldn’t have needed to come here.”

Everyone looked at Shar, and her cheeks turned a bright red. “I was in a panic. I didn’t even remember we have our own witch until the doctor mentioned magic wands.”

Pearl chuckled. “Don’t have one of those, but I do have this,” she said, holding the salve up from the bed.

“Hand it here.” Dominic held his hand out to Pearl. “I’ll put it on her.”

Pearl nodded and handed the shifter the salve.

“Does it hurt?” Josie asked, looking at Pearl.

“Less, then when he was torn out of you, but more than what you’re feeling now. I take it they gave you a shot for the pain?”

Josie nodded, and Pearl sighed.

That will counteract the meds,” she said, pointing to the salve.

Josie whimpered, and Dominic paused as he looked at the witch.

“How long will it hurt?” he asked.

Pearl shrugged. “Depends on how much damage.”

Josie looked at Shar. “Do you trust her?”

Shar nodded. “I do. She’s one of us.”

Josie nodded and looked at Dominic. “Do it.”

Dominic took a deep breath; he didn’t want his mate to hurt anymore. He looked at the salve. Two weeks without making love or a little more pain, and then they’re healed. He opened the lid and pulled out a good size scoop with his fingers.

Dominic leaned toward Josie and kissed her to distract her. While she was distracted, he moved his hand between her legs and pressed the salve to her torn pussy. She screamed against his mouth as he rubbed it around her inner lips and then pressed it inside her. She was so torn up that he could easily push his fingers into her.

He closed his eyes and finished spreading it around, then pulled his hand away from her.

“Good.” Pearl nodded.

Dominic pulled back from the kiss and looked into his mate’s eyes. “Are you okay?”

Josie forced a smile and leaned forward to give him a quick kiss. “I’ll live.”

Dominic chuckled as he pulled away and laid back on his bed. “Now my turn,” he said, looking down.

“We’ll wait in the hall.” Dustin turned Shar away from them and headed for the door.

“I’ll go with them,” Pearl said with a smile.

“How many times will we have to put this on?” Dominic asked, looking at the witch.

She smiled at him. “Just this once.”

“How long until it works?” he asked.

“Not long.” She headed for the door and turned to face them again. “You should be able to make love by tomorrow,” she said, then was gone.

Dominic looked at Josie, lying back in her bed, her eyes closed. “Are you sure you’re okay?”

She nodded. “It tingles now.”

He nodded with a frown. “I’m sorry this happened.”

She opened her eyes and looked at him. “This isn’t your fault.”

He grumbled. “I should have found a way to get you out of there….”

She placed her hand over his. “You did what you thought was the best course of action. You and your family were looking out for me. You… you made sure he didn’t touch me. That… that…”

“You’re incredible,” he said, placing his non-salved hand over hers.

She sniffled. “It’s your turn.”

He grunted. “Tell me the truth.” He leaned back and closed his eyes. “How bad did it hurt?”

She snorted. “Not as bad as you being pulled out of me did. And it only lasted a minute or two; now it tingles and feels numb.”

He nodded.

“Would you like me to put it on for you?”

He laughed. “No. I don’t want your first time seeing my cock to be while he’s swollen and angry.”

She chuckled. “So, you want me to look away?”

He looked into her hazel eyes. “That would be preferable.”

She nodded and turned her head away from him.

Dominic took a deep breath, pulled the sheet down, and removed the icepack. His dick was still red and angry and so swollen he wasn’t sure if he would ever get a hard-on again.

He dipped his fingers into the salve and rubbed it on his aching cock.

“Holy fucking hell!”

Josie’s head spun to Dominic when he hollered. She looked down at his cock and felt a pleasurable shiver run down her spine. He was rubbing the salve up and down the shaft of his cock. Her eyes followed the motion. His cock is huge, just as she knew it was.

And even swollen and angry as he said, it was a nice cock, and she couldn’t wait for the salve to work so she could wrap her lips around it.

Her eyes bulged out of her head. Where had that thought come from?

Dominic growled, mistaking Josie’s bulging eyes for ones of disgust. “I told you not to look,” he said with agitation.

Josie looked up at Dominic’s face, confused, then snickered. He scowled at her. She placed her hand on his arm and then leaned toward him.

“You have a very nice, large cock.”

He grumbled. “Is that why your eyes popped out of your head? Because I have a nice, large cock?” he mocked.

She chuckled. “Yes, actually it is. Because I was thinking how much I wanted to put it into my mouth and suck on it until you cum. Then I was shocked at my thoughts.”

He looked at her, his eyebrows almost touching his hairline.

“Yep.” She leaned her head against him. “You have a nice, large cock. And I want to suck you off.”

He chuckled. “I’ll hold you to that.”

She tilted her head back and smiled up at him. “Thank you,” she whispered.

His eyebrows furrowed. “For what? I’ve done nothing but cause you pain.”

She sighed. “You saved me from that psycho. And you made me a part of something. I haven’t been a part of anything in so long,” she said, looking at her wrists.

He leaned over and kissed the top of her head. “You’ll always be a part of me, Josie Potter.”

She sighed as she closed her eyes. “I like that thought,” she said, then drifted off to sleep.

Dominic wrapped his arm around her shoulders and held her close. His cock was already healing, and he could feel it stiffening just from holding his mate.

“Everything okay?”

Dominic looked at the door to find his brother watching them.

“The salve is working.”

“Good.” Dustin walked into the room. “I’m sorry we weren’t there to prevent this.”

Dominic scowled. “Where the fuck were you?”

Dustin sighed. “We were at the bar keeping Marry-Beth from running into the room. I think she’s too desperate for a mate of her own.”

Dustin snorted. “How did that asshole get past all of you?”

“Must have snuck past us while we were discussing shit. I don’t know, Bro. All I know is that we’re all sorry.”

Dominic nodded. “We need a new hang-out,” he said, kissing the top of Josie’s head.

Dustin nodded. “Sharissa said the same thing.”

“You have a smart one there.” Dominic chuckled.

“Yep.” Dustin nodded. “Shar has been thinking about quitting her job.”

“Really?” Dominic asked, surprised.

“Yeah. Tate had investigated what was going on with their project, and it turned out Mr. Trinkle had been the one fucking it up.”

“Their boss?” Dominic asked, shocked.

Dustin nodded. “Yeah. Shocked the girls, too. And when Lyvia had to take time off work sooner than Shar had when she was pregnant. The man threatened to fire them both, saying there’s no way they’d need maternity leave so soon. But when Lyvia walked in with her large stomach, he ate crow the rest of the day and let her take time off.”

“What is the man’s problem?” Dominic asked with a quiet growl.

Dustin shrugged. “Your cock looks better.”

Dominic looked down at his healing cock. “Jealous?”

Dustin snorted. “Why? Mine’s bigger.”

Dominic laughed. They both know that all five Kraftman brothers were gifted with impressive cocks.

“We should get out of here once you both are healed,” Dustin said, looking at Josie. “Looks like she’s taking to you nicely.”

Dominic nodded. “Yeah, but we need to tell her everything as soon as possible.”

“When we get out of here, you two will sleep at our place. That way, you’ll be there when everyone shows up at the butt crack of dawn.”

Dominic chuckled. “Yeah, sounds about right.”

“I’ll be back for you in an hour.” Dustin turned and left the room.

Dominic sighed as he laid his cheek on his mate’s head and closed his eyes. She’s here, and she’s his.

And he’s never been happier than he was at this moment, sore dick and all.
