The Seventh Bride

Chapter 6 As Your Husband, I Decided To Keep You

Ivanka Bai had been confined to the gloomy cell in the backyard for the whole day. Even though groups of experts tried to take
her ring off, they all failed.
They had tried every way, but the ring was still on Ivanka’s finger, which was tortured to be numbed by them.
She was still in her last night pajamas, and her peaceful sleeping face was so beautiful. When Charles Nangong skimmed over
the two faint tooth marks on her left wrist, he paused to stare at them, and finally moved to her ring finger.
The gold ring with jet was glimmering in the darkness.
Charles couldn’t help but bend to hold her little hand. However, Ivanka curling in the bed, suddenly shrank her hand off Charles’
hand, before his next move.
Charles’ big hands froze in mid-air for a while before pulling back and standing up.
Ivanka slowly opened her eyes, only seeing the darkness.
"Awake?" Charles stared at her and asked calmly.
Ivanka hurried to sat up in bed and glanced around until she saw a tall figure standing in front of her bed. Although she couldn’t
see clearly, feelings of the indifferent temperament stole over her, which reminded her it belonged to Charles. Because of his
unique and attractive temperament, and their intimate and wild wedding night, so she clearly remembered his temperament.
But wasn't Charles sent to the hospital last night? Why he would return suddenly?
She glared at him with panic: "I won’t go to that hell place, I will never go!"
"Tell you the good news." Charles didn’t see her fear clearly, and said with an indifferent smile, "I decided you could stay here."
What? Charles decided to keep her? Not to send her away?
"...Until the ring is token off." Charles told the last half of the sentence.
Ivanka’s hard-won hope was extinguished once again. She knew the evil Charles was not so kind to help her, but for the ring on
her finger.
"Will I still be sent to that horrible place after the ring is taken off?" Ivanka stared at him.

Charles shook his head and said: "No, as long as you cooperate with me well, and when the ring is off, I'll let you go."
“Really?” Ivanka's extinguished hope was reignited.
"You could choose not to believe it."
"No, I do." If I didn't believe it, wasn't there even a glimmer of hope? So, she’d rather believe him.
"But......I can't take the ring off." Ivanka said. Since there were so many professionals tried but failed yesterday. How could she
take it off?
"It's up to you." Charles said and bent to kiss her, while his hand lifted her chin up.
"Er..." Ivanka instinctively rejected.
Charles pinched tightly her jaw, and moved his thin lips to her ear: “Well? Do you want to live abroad with them? ”
No... She didn't!
"Or...Are you scared of me as them? Detested me?" He kissed more deeply.
Ivanka didn’t dare to struggle any longer, just let Charles kiss her while listening to his indifferent sarcasm: "Since your father had
sold you to me, then you are my woman. It is your honor that I’d like to touch you, understand?"
Ivanka was so angry but she couldn't show it, it was him that forced the deal, but now he had an acid tongue..
At the moment that she thought Charles would press her on the bed, he suddenly released her and went out with a cold smile.
He himself didn’t know why he would come back from the hospital to look at her, nor what it meant.
Was it only because of that dream?
