BLAKE
I watch as Izzy walks up the stairs.
Damn, that girl has a good ass.
Once I hear the door close behind her, I sigh and turn back around on the couch. I look around the room and feel everything hit me at once.
I can see the photos on the table. I can’t help but pick them up and stare at them one more time.
I look at the one with Alpha Thomas, Drake, and Michael. Axel is growling in my head as he comes closer to look. “Stupid human, I’m glad to hear he is dead,” he says with a snarl. I have to admit, I’m happy to hear Todd killed him.
I look at the other two photos. The one with Graham, Elder Johnson, Linda and that woman. All I can think is poor Izzy. She had to witness her own mother being made to accept the rejection by magic, but also being murdered. No one could have gone through that and been ok. I place the photo on top of the other one, but the third and final one has me feeling sad.
The photo of my aunt Anita and mum. I wonder why Izzy took this one. I could tell Izzy was holding back on me, but I don’t know why.
I have to take these photos back. We need to explain these to my parents.
“Mate is dreaming,” says Axel suddenly. I listen in and can hear Izzy’s soft snores fill my ears. She seems happy.
The little person next to her is the same, sleeping soundly.
I can’t help but smile.
Allie is a mirror image of Izzy. I would have accepted her anyway, whatever she looked like, but she looks like Izzy. She will break many hearts.
I can hear Axel chuckle in my head. “Yeah, she will. That pup is going to be the death of us. We will want to kill every person who comes near her,” he says.
I can’t help but laugh to myself.
“Mate, wants us,” says Axel, feeling so happy. “But I know we have to wait. I enjoy seeing her blush; I wonder what Puna said to her to make her go that red.”
Izzy’s bright red face pops into my head; I wonder what she said to her.
But suddenly I feel a tad of guilt sweep in. “I know, but I nearly fucked it up. I shouldn’t overstep by touching her or even kiss her,” I said.
“Mate knows we want her, we will make her see that,” Axels says as he lies back down in my head and wags his tail “Mate will be safe, we need to kill everyone who is after her” he says with a slip of a growl.
I couldn’t agree more with him.
I opened a mind link with my father.
I needed to tell him that Izzy wants to meet with him and mum.
“Hey Dad,” I say, as I get comfy.
“Hey son, how did it go with Izzy? We’ve missed you. Where are you?” He asks softly.
“Yeah, we had a talk, and I found out loads about her. She has a few skeletons that she will tell you tomorrow as she wants to meet you and mum if that is possible. Make sure all pack members are away and also make sure Graham and Linda don’t find out. Tell me when they all have gone and we will come to the pack house,” I say. “Oh, and I’m sleeping here on the couch, as she has been through a lot in one night. Her scent is calming Axel down too.”
“That’s good news,” he says. “I can arrange a meeting or a business trip for Graham and Linda, as the rest of the pack. I will tell them they need to be out of the pack house because of renovations or something. We will figure something out.”
“What about Elder Johnson? What are we going to do about him?” he asks.
“Well, after what I learned tonight, he won’t be stepping foot inside our pack again. There is so much we have to tell you tomorrow. Make sure mum knows we are coming,” I say.
“I will soon. I have to go. Someone is at the door. I need to see who it is,” he says.
“Goodnight Dad, give mum a kiss from me,” I say.
“I will, son. Goodnight,” he says.
We shut the mind link and I lie down on the couch with my head resting on the pillow.
I will talk to my mum about what Izzy went through as she went through something similar years ago. Maybe she can help Izzy or knows someone who can help her.
I use my enhanced hearing to hear my mate and pup once again; both of them are still silently snoring.
I smile. I cannot wait to spend the night with our mate, but I have to be very delicate with her and only approach when she is ready for me to. I am going to make her feel special and I will never hurt or let anyone hurt her again.
Alpha Derek
Once the mind link is shut, I open another link up to let my sweet Luna to let her know what Blake said about Izzy wanting to meet us, which sent her into a hyper state.
The door knocks again.
“Come in,” I shout as I lean back in the chair.
The door opens and in walks Linda.
Fuck, why is she here?
“What do you want, Linda?” I ask.
She looks at me and smiles. “Oh alpha, I was wondering if you have seen my children. They are not in the house and no one has seen them since training,” she asks and looks around the room. She makes her way over to the chair in front of the desk.
I shake my head, “I have not. They may be with Blake. I know he is out for the night,” I say. I wonder if they are with him over at Izzy’s.
Linda smiles. “Well, I hope so; I am so worried about them. My father wanted me to check up on Kacey as they had a disagreement about something,” she says.
“Well, she is not in the pack house,” I say. “Oh, I forgot to mention to Graham that both of you have to travel to the neighbouring pack for me, Shadow Claw. I have required some of their young warriors to come here. I have promised their alpha that Blake would train them.”
She looks at me and smiles. “That will be no problem. I hear good things about that pack,” she says and stands up.
“Alpha, if it is alright with you, I opened a bottle of scotch and was wondering if you would like to have some. I opened it by mistake. There is not much left in it and if Graham comes back, he might lose his cool with me again,” she says as she walks over to the door.
I look at her. “I would love some. It has been a long day,” I say with a sigh.
She smiles and heads back outside for a moment, but she walks back in and hands me a glass. She pours the scotch in. The smell alone hits me. I wonder what scotch it is.
“Well, here’s to you alpha,” she says as she pours herself a glass. We click the glasses together and I knock it back.
Suddenly, I am in darkness.
I am completely out cold and I don’t feel like I’m in my body.
LINDA
I place the glass to my mouth but don’t drink it.
I watch as the alpha takes all the liquid stuff, which, may I add, is not scotch in one hit.
Within seconds, he is completely gone.
I smile to myself and place the glass down.
Suddenly his eyes open and look at me, he smirks “Well daughter, I am now the alpha” he says.
“The alpha sent Graham and I away tomorrow. He also sent all pack members a message saying that there will be renovations to be held here too,” I say, and he smiles at me. “Good, once I know everyone has gone. I can make it clear to that stupid young alpha that Kacey is better than that pathetic panther. Once he chooses her, that panther will be dealt with by him,” he says.
I smile.
I always wanted Kacey to be with Blake, and now it will finally happen.
