Chapter 162
BLAKE
ALPHA AND LUNA CEREMONY
(PART TWO)
My head hurts, and I am holding everyone responsible for it. It was a good night at the club, even my father came. Somehow I was drinking whisky and coke with no memory of how I got here. I opened my eyes, and I was in a bed, which wasn’t mine, and also the room looked familiar, but I knew it wasn’t in the pack house.
I moved up onto my elbows and looked around the room. I knew I had been here before; everything felt familiar to me.
I heard the door squeak open and glanced straight at the entrance to see Paul sticking his head around the door. His eyes land on me, and he smirks. “You’re awake?” he says as he opens the door and walks into the bedroom. “I thought you would like some coffee,” he says as I soon realize he was holding a mug in his hand.
I nodded and smiled. “Thank you,” I say in a hearse voice. I moved to a sitting position as Paul nodded and handed me the mug. As the mug went into my hands, I placed the mug to my lips and took a gulp.
Paul stared at me and sat on the bed. “I think you ought to know,” he said. “Izzy and Alice have another Auntie.” I raised my eyebrows at him. “Izzy mentioned nothing about another auntie before,” I said.
Paul sighed. “I know what you mean; Alice only told me when I returned home after last night. Alice said they didn’t know what happened to her, and they thought she was dead as it was years since they saw her last; she never wanted to be part of a pack or even find her mate,” he says.
That’s weird. I wondered why she never wanted to find her mate.
Paul looked at me. “We need to get ready and get you to the pack house for the ceremony,” he said. He moved off the bed and walked to the door. I looked at him and could feel Axel in my head stir.
“How the hell did I get here?” I asked Paul, who stopped in his tracks. He looked over his shoulder at me and smirked. “Dale and I have to carry you home; you lightweight,” he says.
I groaned.
Paul left the room, and I could hear some chatting downstairs. I took another swig of my coffee. I looked around, and realization kicked in of where I was. I was obviously at Dale’s house. This is the room I used to stay in when I stayed over at Dale’s.
I quickly moved out of bed and placed the mug down on the chest of drawers. I quickly got dressed and grabbed my mug before I left the room.
I walked down the stairs and headed into the kitchen.
Dale was standing holding a plate of food while my father and Paul were chatting with each other around the table. But once I walked in, everyone looked up and smiled at me.
“Good morning, son,” says my father. “You need to have some food and get your suit on straight after this.”
I nodded.
Dale placed a plate in front of me, and I ate.
Axel moves forward, but I can’t help but stare back at him. “You ok there?” I asked as I took a mouthful of food and shoveled it into my mouth.
Axel grunts. “I’m ok,” he says. “Why did you drink so much last night? I saw double of everything.”
I smirked.
Last night was a blast, but as I guessed, Dale and Paul had something planned. We went to a new club, where they gave me a lot of shots. Instead of giving me the same one every time they went to the bar, they kept buying me different flavors, which never went well with the amount of beer I consumed.
Axel was drunk from the fumes and was howling in my head at one stage. But after that, everything else was a blur. We even tried to contact Izzy, but Puna placed a block on us. She told Axel she would chop off his nuts if he tried again.
“Mate is awake,” says Axel.
I stared back and noticed the frown on his face. “What’s wrong?” I asked, finishing my food. “Puna’s not happy with me,” he says in a huff.
I laugh. “Well, you probably shouldn’t have drunk mind linked her when it was early hours,” I said.
Axel grunts once more, and I turn to look at everyone.
Paul and Dale were leaving the kitchen, but my father looked at me. “You ok?” he asked. “I guess Paul told you about Izzy’s new auntie.”
I nodded.
“What’s she like?” I asked.
“I only met her briefly,” he said. “But judging what I saw, Kat and Izzy weren’t expecting her to be alive.”
I stared at him, but he said nothing else.
“Let’s get you ready,” he said with a smile. “Izzy will be ready shortly, and we need to be there before the girls.”
I nodded.
I gulped down the rest of my coffee and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. I was in and out in under twenty minutes.
My suit was laid on the bed as I walked in with a towel wrapped around my waist. Either Paul or my father must have put it out ready. I got dressed and had my father help me with the tie. I quickly ensured I did something with my hair, even though I never used to. We were already and were about to leave Dale’s house.
I looked at my best friend, who was staring at the house. “It’s going to be weird not living in the house anymore,” he says, sadness clearly written all over his face.
I glanced at the house and looked back at my friend. “So many memories were made in that house, but I know you and Lena want a fresh start, and moving into the pack house is the best solution, especially as you are to be my Beta,” I said to him as I placed my hand on his shoulder, squeezing him.
Dale and Lena moved into the pack house a few days ago and have been busy packing the house up to place most of the furniture in storage for the time being. They wanted to be close to us, especially now that Izzy and I were to be Alpha and Luna of the pack.
We stared at the house for a few seconds, but turned and climbed into the car. Paul drives us to the pack house, which wasn’t far from the house, but after the amount we drank last night, I think he wanted to ensure we were there on time.
When we pulled up, I noticed loads of people walking into the pack house. Elder Tilly was already there, as Paul informed me. She had brought two members of her pack with her to show a willingness to do what we wanted to do with the pack soon.
I know Izzy will be on edge when she realizes it, but I believe this is a good thing. I climbed out of the car and headed to the pack entrance.
I knew I was meeting Izzy outside the pack hall entrance by the door. It would have been her father walking her down since Graham was killed. We are doing it our way. I was happy to do it, especially as I got to see her all dressed up before everyone else did.
I talked to a few members as they passed me, and I looked to the stairs to see my mother coming toward me.
“Izzy is on her way,” she says as she looks at me. “You look so handsome, Blake.”
I smiled. I hate having compliments, but it is nice to hear them.
My mother kissed my cheek and headed into the hall. I couldn’t help but glance in and notice my father talking to a few people.
I sighed. I looked back and spotted Kat walking with Alice.
“We will see in there,” says Kat with a smile. Alice nodded and walked straight to an omega holding Archer’s hand. He looked so handsome in his suit.
Archer waved at me, and I nodded back. I looked to the stairs, where I spotted the most magical and gorgeous sight.
Izzy and Allie.
They were both walking down the stairs. Allie looked like a princess in her light blue colored dress. It reminded me of something, but I couldn’t place it. Allie smiled at me but looked at Izzy.
My eyes went to my mate, and she was a sight to see. Her hair was down in curls, but her dress was out of this world. It fitted every curve of her body. I couldn’t help but check her out, but when I got to her eyes, they were raised. “You like?” she says.
I nodded, not being able to get my mouth to open. I hold out my hand, and she takes it. Tingles of the mate bond ignite as we hold hands.
“Daddy, doesn’t mummy look like a queen?” Allie says. I bent down and picked up the gorgeous bundle I could ever have asked for. Her arms go around my neck, and she places a kiss on my cheek.
Axel was close and was purring in my head. He was in complete awe of Izzy but also Allie too.
“Shall we go in?” I say to them both.
Allie nods, but she looks at Izzy.
“Mummy, are you ok?” she asked. I glanced at Izzy, who looked like she had gone a funny green color.
“I…” she says quietly.
I squeeze her hand and gently pull her to me. Her scent hits my nose hard, and I kiss her cheek. “I’m with you, and so is Allie,” I said. “You’re not alone.”
Izzy looks at me, but she looks at Allie.
“Blake, before we go in there, can I tell you something?” she asks.
I nodded.
Something was clearly on her mind, and I knew we would be in front of loads of people. She might need to have a moment.
“What is it?” I asked as I leaned into her.
Izzy looked at the door and then at me.
“I’m pregnant,” she says.
Allie squeals. “I knew it,” she says.
I stared at her, and my heart was about to burst. “You’re pregnant,” I said, sounding unsure.
Izzy stared at me and sighed. “I found out a week ago. I was going to tell you, hell, even Puna has been trying to get Axel to talk to us, but we were both busy finishing the pack business. I wanted to make sure everything was alright; I was going to leave it till we were at our cabin, but the way I’m feeling, I think people are going to notice, and I couldn’t…” she says, but I cut her off by placing my mouth on her lips. I moved her closer to me and kissed her. I was over the moon and was going to be a dad again.
I pulled back as I noticed Izzy’s eyes were closed. “I love you and Allie,” I say to them. “I will also love this baby.”
“My sister,” says Allie.
I smiled.
Izzy nodded, but she sighed. “Can we tell everyone when we get back from our weekend?” she asked. “This is supposed to be about us being Alpha and Luna. I can’t be announcing the pregnancy yet.”
“We will announce when we get back,” I said. I looked to the door and spotted my mother and Kat. They were smiling at us. “I guess you told him,” said my mother.
Izzy nodded, but I couldn’t help but frown. “How did…” I said, but Izzy cut me off. “They worked it out for themselves.”
I nodded.
“Shall we get this ceremony on the road, then?” asked my mother. I glanced at Izzy, and she was white again.
“We will before Izzy throws up,” says Kat.
Kat takes Allie from me. Allie wasn’t having any of it, but I promised her a dance when the music was on.
My mother and Kat walked in with Allie to the door, and I placed my arm around Izzy. I leaned into her neck and kissed her. “We got this,” I said to her. She looked at me and smiled. We both headed to the door and waited for them to open for us.
