The Second Act: Revenge by Edwina Onedia and Jackson

Chapter 47

Chapter 47

Jackson ignored Fiona,

Instead, he looked at the maids with a cold face. “From now on, she will be the lady of the house.”

He obviously referring to Oneida.

“Treat her like I do.” The man’s voice was low and magnetic. It was pleasant, yet it was full of unbelievable dominance. “I don’t wish to see this situation again.”

The maids‘ faces instantly turned pale when they heard that.

Fiona’s body stiffened, and the smile on her face suddenly disappeared.

Even if they didn’t like Oneida, she was already married to Jackson. Hence, she was now Mrs. Bane.

And they were just a group of lowly maids.

Jackson must have seen their behavior just now

Seeing their negligence and rudeness to Oneida earlier, Jackson had spoken up to reprimand them.

“Understood, Mr. Bane. We will remember what you said, and we will serve Mrs. Bane well in the future.” The maid immediately began to show their loyalty and respect.

Only Fiona stood still without saying a word,

She clenched her fists secretly, and her heart was drowned in jealousy.

“How? How could this useless woman…” she thought to herself.

Even if Fiona was angry, she couldn’t disobey Jackson once he had given them his orders.

She lowered her eyes unwillingly and responded in a low voice, “Got it, Mr. Bane.”

Several maids began to move Oneida’s luggage to the room first.

Only Jackson and Oneida were left in the hall.

Oneida slightly pursed her lips as her eyes grew deep.

Just now, Jackson was defending her and helping her to reach a standing in the household.

She didn’t expect that.

She was so happy that she couldn’t help smiling and asked Jackson in a low voice, “Jackson, were you defending me just now?”

The way Oneida called Jackson made his heart skip a beat.

He remained calm and indifferent. “Since you married me, I will definitely protect you.”

After saying that, he left.

Oneida didn’t pursue the matter, so she followed a maid to her own room.

That was right. She didn’t live in the same room as Jackson and had a separate residence.

This was obviously Jackson’s order.

Oneida didn’t have any objections.

Although she knew that a husband and wife would have intimate interactions, the relationship between her and Jackson was actually similar to that between strangers right now.

“Those interactions would have to wait…” she thought.

In fact, Oneida was relieved.

Although she had lived for two lifetimes, she was still an innocent girl who knew nothing.

With Christopher, she had only just kissed him on the face.

There was nothing more than that.

She wondered how she would prepare if Jackson made a move on her.

Now, it seemed that she had thought too much.

She didn’t know whether she should feel disappointed or lucky.

Oneida’s phone suddenly rang.

The name “Simon” appeared on the screen.

She immediately picked it up.

“Boss, what are you doing recently?” Simon greeted her as usual.

Oneida said lightly, “Nothing, really. I just got married.”

Her words were calm, but Simon almost choked. “Boss, are you serious? Are you kidding me?”

However, Oneida smiled and said, “I’m not kidding. I’m really married. I’m a woman with a husband from now on.” Simon was stunned for a while before he came to his senses. “Boss, why didn’t you inform me of your marriage?”

“We are just getting the marriage license/I’ll invite you to the wedding ceremony if we decide to have one in the future,” Oneida

said casually. She looked slightly calm and changed the subject. “You didn’t come to me to chat, right? Did something tricky happen?”
