The Second Act: Revenge by Edwina Onedia and Jackson

Chapter 43

Chapter 43

Jackson was upstairs.

Jackson, who was seated by the window, was somewhat taken aback upon hearing the girl’s words.

His deep eyes were filled with inexplicable emotions.

She admired him.

It was the first time he had heard such words.

The man’s eyes fell on Oneida subconsciously. His eyes were full of emotions.

Yvonne was moved when she heard what Oneida said.

Other girls avoided Jackson when they heard about him, except for her.

Yvonne silently pledged in her heart that if Oneida chose to marry Jackson, she would love her as her own daughter.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“So, are you willing to marry him as soon as possible?” Yvonne smiled gently and asked tentatively.

Oneida nodded. “Anytime.”

Yvonne was completely relieved.

To everyone’s astonishment and puzzlement, the marriage was settled.

Yvonne went back upstairs.

Jackson was not by the window, but sitting by the bookshelf with a book in his hand.

He was calm.

“Jackson,” she said to her son and walked over. “You should have heard what happened in the hall, right?”

Jackson raised his eyes slightly but said nothing.

“You and Oneida… Get married quickly, okay?” Yvonne’s tone softened. There was even a trace of begging in her voice.

The reason why she wanted Jackson to get married soon was that she hoped Jackson could have his own family and happiness

sooner.

He had to use a wheelchair when he became a teenager, and his personality became more and more indifferent.

The family’s positions were so uneasy. It was as if they were surrounded by wolves. The two illegitimate children were coveting his position every day….

She thought, “I can still protect him now. What can I do later?”

She hoped that a girl could take care of him and love him.

Now, she finally found a woman who admired him so much….

Yvonne spoke softly, “It’s my heartfelt wish. Even if you don’t feel the same, please consider it for my sake. You are aware of the circumstances surrounding our family. Your two brothers hold malicious intent towards you. Who knows what could happen in the future? I won’t be at peace until your lifelong affairs are settled.”

Jackson glanced at his mother.

He did not have a heart of stone, and his mother’s words were heartfelt. Of course, he would also be moved.

If it was his mother’s wish, he would not refuse.

Since he could not find Cece, it made no difference to him if he had to marry Oneida.

Besides, that girl….

At the thought of Oneida, Jackson’s eyes flashed.

He did not hate her.

“Okay, I promise.” The man’s thin lips moved slightly, but his cold eyes were calm as if the matter had nothing to do with him.

“I’ll marry her.”

The next day. Oneida got up early.

She was going to get a marriage license with Jackson that day.

It was the first time Oneida was getting married in both of her lifetimes.

It was rare for her to feel a little nervous in her heart.

Oneida put on light makeup and wore a pure white chiffon dress.

The girl in the mirror was pure and beautiful. She looked like a blooming elegant flower.

After making sure there was nothing wrong with her appearance, she left the room

Lucas personally drove her to the City Hall.

Lucas was also very upset at the thought that the daughter he had just found was about to get married and leave the family again.

“Ida, if you don’t like your life after getting married, just tell Dad,” Lucas said while controlling the steering wheel.

Oneida lowered her eyes and said calmly, “Got it.”

“That won’t happen,” she thought.
