Chapter Mia's Candy
Grayson
Cleo? As in the black witch that summoned demons to kill her enemies. That Cleo? Both Mia and her grandma said, “yes.”
I think I am going to pass out. James came bursting through the door.
James looked at me; he asked what was wrong?
I asked him if he knew who Mia’s grandma was? James said, “yes.”
James told me that Mia’s grandma told him two nights ago that she is the one and only Cleo.
I hate him right now. Here I was worrying about Mia and her grandma when I did not need to.
I picked Mia up off of my lap and put her on the chair.
I told her that I needed a minute. Mia looked scared. I told Mia that I would be in the bedroom if she needed me.
I went into the bedroom and shut the door. Then, I went to the bed and sat down.
No wonder Mia was scared to tell me her grandma’s name and who her grandma was.
Many people want Cleo’s powers, but they do not understand that she has to give it up. No one can take her powers.
Mia came into the bedroom; she came up to me and asked if I would leave her because of who her grandma was?
I gently grabbed her and pulled her onto my lap.
I told her no. I told her that I understood why she did not want to tell me.
Mia said that her grandma has been laying low for a few years now.
I can understand that if people find out where Cleo is, they will hunt her down and try to kill her.
I took Mia’s face in my hands and made her look me in the eyes. I told her that nothing had changed between us.
I still love her. I told Mia that this was all just a shock to me. I held my mate and assured her that I am not going anywhere.
James knocked on the door; he called out, saying if we are done “doing it,” he wants to talk about what he found out.
I opened the door and grabbed James by his neck.
Cleo, I guess I should start calling her by her name.
At least when we are home, she told us to stop roughhousing.
Cleo told us to come and eat lunch. It is a late lunch.
We all sat down at the table. I had to ask what it was because I did not recognize what it was supposed to be. Cleo said that it is a blended-up vegetable soup with fish. What the heck? That sounds nasty.
Mia likes it; Cleo gave James liver in its own blood. Although, to be honest, I would rather eat what James is eating. So I just picked up my bowl and chugged it.
You know how a skunk smells like; that is how this soup tastes like.
After almost vomiting six times, James finally told us what he found out when he was at Dolores’s packhouse.
James began to tell us that Dolores is going to be here on Monday.
I asked James if he knew what time they would be coming?
James said he did not hear a time.
But James thinks they will come at night.
Ok, that gives us a week. I excused myself from the table.
I told Mia, Cleo, and James that I was going to call the old man.
I went to the living room and called the old man when he answered. I told him who was calling him. I told him to be here Monday night.
The old man said that he would let his people know. He said that they all would be here.
Before I could say anything more, he hung up. So I returned to the table and told everyone that the old man and his people would be here.
James said he would be back, that he would go and inform the vampires. With that, he ran out the door.
If he keeps doing that, I will have to get a new door.
I looked at the cats and said, when he comes back, bite him in the balls.
They looked at me; Cookie and Sugar said ok.
I don’t know if I can get used to this. I asked Cleo if the cats had their lunch yet?
Cleo said, “yes.” The cats said, “no.”
Cleo said they had hard food to help with their teeth.
I looked at the cats and told them that if they bit James’s balls and butt, I would give them each a can of tuna. All the cats agreed.
Cleo told me that I should be nicer to James. I looked at her and said, this is for him always saying crap he should not say.
I went into the kitchen and got three cans of tuna; I opened them and put them on the floor for the cats. The cats came running and started eating like they were starving.
Now we play the waiting game. Then James came bursting through the door.
James started screaming for Cleo to get her cats off of him.
I looked. I saw Cookie biting his balls; Sugar and Missy were biting his butt.
Good, Cleo told the cats to stop, they did.
I wanted more. James asked what that was all about?
Cleo told him that I bribed the cats to bite him.
James looked at me; he looked betrayed.
I told him I did it for all the crap he says in front of Mia and for always bursting through the door.
James said that he thought we were friends.
I told him that we are friends.
James pointed at me and said that he would get me back for this.
I said we would see about that. James said that he needed to talk to Mia for a second.
I told him to stay away from her. James took off running to find Mia.
I chased him, and I caught up with him. I tackled him to the ground.
James was screaming for Mia. I told him to shut up. When Mia finally came to us, Mia asked what was going on? James told her what I had the cats do to him. Mia said she knew. James then looked at her and told her that I had been hiding her candy from her.
Mia looked at me like she was just told that I had been cheating on her.
She asked if it was true? Before I could say anything, James told her that it was true and to look in the cupboard next to the fridge.
I hit James on the head and stood up. Then, I ran past Mia and stood in front of the cupboard.
I held up my hands in front of me and told Mia that I could explain.
Mia pushed me out of the way; she opened the cupboard. There were bags upon bags of candy. Mia looked at me.
She asked why I was hiding all her candy from her?
I told her that I was not “hiding” it from her. I was just keeping it away from her. I told her so she could eat healthy food for the baby.
Mia grabbed a wooden spoon and started hitting me with it.
She said something like; I was really hiding it from her because I did not want her to gain weight. I told her that no matter how much she gains, I will always love her. I told her that her size did not matter to me.
James is going to pay for this. When Mia finally stopped hitting me.
I told her that I just wanted our baby to be healthy.
She threw the spoon at me; it hit me right in the balls.
It hurt; it hurt really bad. I fell to the ground holding my balls.
Mia said that she could not help having cravings for candy.
I tried to stand up, but I saw stars.
I told her that I am trying to understand that.
But she needs to eat better foods for the baby. I had one hand cupping my balls; I took Mia’s hand in my other hand.
I held her hand; I told her I would not hide her candy anymore.
I told Mia that I loved her. Mia said that she loved me too.
Mia said that she forgives me this time.
I let go of her hand. Mia went to the cupboard and grabbed some candy, and went to the living room.
James is standing there looking smug.
I picked up the spoon and chucked it at him.
It hit him in his stupid head.
