After dinner, Mia’s grandma went home; James was sleeping on the couch.

Mia and I got ready for bed; I waited for my beloved to get into bed, then I turned off the light.

I crawled into bed and cuddled my mate; she asked, “if I still have feelings for my ex-mate.”

I told her, “no, that she was the only woman for me and the only woman I see.”

It is true, Mia is my everything; I do not want anyone else but her.

I want her to be with me for the rest of my life; I want to be with her forever.

I kissed my mate and told her that “I love her; she said she loves me more.” I do not think so; I love her more.

I was about to move on top of her for some lovemaking; James’s burst through the door.

Where did he get that teddy bear? He jumped in bed and went between Mia and me.

James claimed he had a “nightmare” and needed to sleep with us.

What! He is a nightmare; I whispered, “what is he doing.”

He said that Mia and I need to have practice for when we have pups.

My wolf was about to kill him; I picked him up and put him on the other side of me and away from my mate.

I faced James; he just smiled at me.

Geez, he should know not to smile at people.

Especially after the last time… he made a little girl cry and wet her pants.

James and Mia fell asleep; I am having a hard time falling asleep.

I do not want Ava near my mate nor me; my mate is too good for them.

She is too good for me; I am lucky to have her; I know her worth.

Morning came to face; I tried to wake James up.

I told him to get up and get dressed, he said, “just five more minutes mommy.,”

Do I look like his mommy? I slapped his head, he jolted awake.

I told him again to go get ready.

He got up, mumbling that I was a lousy friend waking him up in a rude way, then he left.

I turned and kissed my mate until she woke up man; she is sexy when she wakes up.

I told her that we needed to get ready; we did not know when they were coming.

But we will be ready and waiting for them out on the porch.

Mia and I got ready, we all ate and cleaned up.

We went out on the porch and were just waiting for them.

Mia’s grandma is walking down the road, I can see her, but I cannot smell her.

She must have hidden her sent, I asked Mia what her grandma’s name was, and she said she could not tell me yet.

James has not noticed her coming yet; I think he has a thing for Mia’s grandma.

I can see how he looks at her; he likes how she pays attention to him.

James finally sees her; his eyes lit up.

Mia ran out and hugged her grandma; James was staring at Mia’s grandma’s chest.

I hit him to tell him to stop; he claimed he was looking at the road, sure he was looking at the road.

Mia’s grandma said hello to us, I said hi. James asked why she smelled worse than before.

Mia’s grandma said at least she does not smell like a dead skunk that fell out of a dead deer’s butt.

I wonder if she has a thing for James; Mia pulled a chair out for her grandma.

James is just looking at Mia’s grandma; he is not even trying to hide it.

I got the sent of Dolores and Ava, they are coming.

I got up when I saw them walking up; Ava looked shocked to be here.

Of course, he did not tell her that they were coming here; Dolores put an arm around Ava.

I just rolled my eyes at him; I have Mia; she is way better than Ava.

They walked up; Dolores said hi and called me Kevin.

I said hi back and called him Dolores; he sneered and told me never to call him that.

He said his name was Max; I just said whatever.

I asked what they wanted, Dolores said he wanted to see how I was doing.

I told him everything was peachy; Mia came next to me and put her arms around me.

I looked down at her and smiled; I looked back at them.

Ava is seething in anger towards Mia; I looked at Dolores.

He is checking my mate out; I faintly hear his wolf say, “mate.”

My wolf growled at them; she was not his mate.

Dolores asked who the woman with me was; I told them she was MY mate.

I could see from the corner of my eye that Ava was looking for my mark on Mia.

She found it; they both see my mark on her.

They do not look happy about it; she is mine, so I do not care if they are happy.

I finally told Dolores to cut the crap and tell me what he really wanted; he took his filthy eyes off my mate.

He said he wanted to talk to my mate; Mia said no thanks, “if she wants to have a mindless conversation, she would rather talk to a wall,” Dolores is stunned that Mia would say something like that to him.

She is not falling for his charm; Ava asked why I would put my mark on a human and not her.

That made Dolores mad; I told her because she is not my mate.

I then added that I was glad that she rejected me; Dolores said that they were leaving.

I told them to never come back, Dolores growled at me.

He took one last look at my mate, then shifted and left.

I knew he would pull some kind of crap on me, but I did not think he would say Mia was his mate.

I pulled Mia closer to me and kissed her head; I knew this was not the last time we would see them.

We all waited until their scent was gone before we went into the house.

Mia’s grandma handed Mia a brown bag; I asked Mia what it was. Mia said it was nothing.

Then she went to the bathroom, Oh, Mia’s girl thing must have come, and she needed stuff.

Mia’s grandma waited until Mia was gone before she started talking.

Mia’s grandma said she was reading their minds; James had a scared look on his face.

James said,” you can do that”; Mia’s grandma said, “yes.”

She had an evil smile on her face; James went even paler.

I think James has been thinking naughty things about Mia’s grandma.

I asked, “what were they thinking,” she told me that Ava wanted me back and that she was going to try and get Mia away from me.

I asked about Dolores, she said that he would try and take Mia away from me.

He thinks Mia is his mate, and he says she can make him happy.

She added that he was going to try and make her Luna of his pack.

I will not let that happen; Mia is my mate.

Mia’s grandma said that Dolores also thought Mia was confused. If I did not let his Luna go, he would start a war with me.

She continued that Mia wants nothing to do with him; she thinks he is vile and full of himself.

That made me smile; James finally said something.

He asked if we should get ready for war, I told him yes.

I will not let Mia go if what her grandma is saying is true. Mia wants to be with me.

That makes me happy; I am glad that she wants me.
