The Road to Rebirth Her Fresh Start and His Late Sorrow

Chapter 96

The runway was nearly finished, with just the final touches of decoration left to complete.

Baldrick's voice was clear and upbeat, "Nancy, I'm excited for our anniversary fashion show. Imagine! Four runways represent the four seasons, all merging into the Sandro Group's grand presentation. Even without mentioning the jewelry, this concept alone will set the internet on fire."

Nancy remained calm, a smile playing on her lips, but she chose not to speak.

Judson couldn't help but interject sharply, "You're mistaken, Baldrick. No matter how stunning the runway show is, it can't overshadow the jewelry designed by Nancy. You've lost sight of what's truly important here."

Nancy paused, her gaze unintentionally drifting back to Judson. He immediately winked at her, wearing a cheeky grin as if he was looking for her approval. "Nancy, am I right?"

Nancy's lips curved slightly, not denying his statement. "You could say that."

Turning back to Baldrick, Nancy added, "The runway is a highlight, but nothing overshadows the allure of the jewelry. Mr. Robertson, your ambitions aren't limited to this, huh?"

Their eyes met, and after a pause, Baldrick's demeanor softened into a handsome smile.

"Of course not." His ambition was to carve out a niche in NY's market, currently dominated by the giants of Ardenweald.

Seeing Baldrick's joyous expression, Judson felt a twinge of annoyance, gently shaking Nancy's hand. "Nancy, hurry and decide on the models for each runway."

Nancy nodded subtly, and Baldrick gathered all the models without further delay. They were all top-notch, seasoned runway professionals.

After Nancy had assigned each model to a runway and briefly explained the show and some jewelry design concepts, several hours had passed.

"Nancy, this show will be a blockbuster. Both your and the Sandro Group's reputation will soar," Baldrick said earnestly, his eyes shining excitedly.

Nancy was about to respond when Judson took her hand. "Nancy, we should get going. The sun has set, and I'm hungry."

Nancy raised an eyebrow, noting the time. "Mr. Robertson, Judson and I get going now."

Before she could finish, Baldrick smiled and interjected, "If Judson's hungry, let's grab something nearby. There's a great club here with amazing food."

Then, turning to Judson, Baldrick said, "I've got a bit of cash on me, so don't worry about sparing my expenses.'

Judson's gaze darkened, well aware of Baldrick's intention. He turned to Nancy, "Nancy..."

"Nancy, it's just a meal. I'm your senior and business partner," Baldrick said, emphasizing 'partner' as a reminder of their earlier conversation.

Sighing resignedly, Nancy agreed, "Let's go then. We can head home after dinner."

After saying that, Nancy stepped forward to leave.

Eyeing Baldrick coldly, Judson received only a calm look in return. "Whether Nancy likes me or not, we can still be friends.

Judson scoffed, "Aiming to climb the ladder through friendship? You might not have the skills for that."

He had been outmaneuvered once by Cyrus and wouldn't let Baldrick do the same.

Leaving behind a defiant Judson, Baldrick's gaze deepened, his abilities yet to be tested.

Half an hour later, Baldrick ordered a feast of Nancy's favorite dishes in a high-end restaurant.

Judson placed a crab claw on Nancy's plate. "Nancy, try this. It's delicious."

Baldrick followed suit, delicately offering her fish, "Nancy, have some of this. I remember you used to love roast fish."

Nancy looked at the dish before her, speechless.

Judson quickly scooped up the fish from her plate and tasted it, immediately making a face of disgust. "Nancy, this fish is terrible! Don't eat it!"
