The Revived Me Surrounded by Adoration as a Supporting Role

Chapter 74

Chapter 74 Can’t Go Back (2)
Lying obediently on the bed, allowing Ramona to gently rub her body.
Bare skin, with several wounds that had not yet healed.
Broken pieces were scattered on her body, and Ramona’s hand froze as she wiped them.
“Ma’am, I could handle it myself.”
Valerie saw the expression on Ramona’s face and quickly got up to try to take the towel from her hand.
“Lie down! I’ll do it! Just lie down and rest well.”
Ramona twisted her body, avoiding Valerie’s outstretched hand.
Gently, he wiped her off.
Her movements were careful and gentle, afraid that any accidental force would cause Valerie pain.
With furrowed brows, she wiped earnestly, occasionally letting out a soft sigh, as the chilly breath dispersed on Valerie’s skin.
Valerie looked at Ramona’s profile and faintly recalled her childhood memories in her mind.
It was already almost blurred.
She vaguely remembers that when she was young, she was often sickly ìnd would easily catch a cold or have a fever.
She clearly felt herself being held in someone’s arms, with a faint fragrance on her body.
That was the exclusive gentle aura of mother.
She groggily opened a slit, wanting to see what had happened.
The dazzling stars of the night entered her sight.
There were hurried footsteps from other people nearby.

She couldn’t see who was around her, she only heard Reyna, who didn’t let go of her hand even when tired, and she heard her
gasping for breath.
That night, the stars were beautiful. Although she wasn’t feeling well, she was very peaceful.
So she closed her eyes again, and in her dream, there was a sky full of beautiful and magical stars.
Coming to her senses, Valerie squinted her eyes at the glaring light bulb.
She looked out of the window.
A pitch–black night.
There wasn’t even a single star.
Dark is terrifying, dark is oppressive.
After Ramona finished wiping, she looked up at Valerie with satisfaction.
The mouth that was about to open and speak was filled with lead.
The swollen acid burst in her neck.
At some point, a tear quietly slipped from the corner of Valerie’s eye.
She seemed unaware and just stared blankly out of the window.
Her eyes were very bright and clear.
But it was too clean.
Just like fragile items, as long as something touches it lightly, it will crumble and shatter into pieces.
“Valerie?”
Ramona’s voice became cautious as she called out Valerie.
Whispering, Valerie snapped back to reality.
“Ramona?”

Ramona didn’t know what to say all of a sudden, and even forgot to breathe.
She quickly took out the ointment beside her and prepared to start applying it to herself to conceal her panic.
The two of them silently completed a long–term task.
Ramona, who had just finished applying the ointment, occasionally glanced at Valerie to see if she had any other reactions.
But Valerie turned her head to look out of the window again.
What were you pondering about?
With trembling hands held back, Ramona eventually stepped forward and embraced the child who looked so heartbreakingly
vulnerable to her.
“Ramona?”
“It’s okay, I’ll just hug you, everything will be fine, okay.”
Ramona’s words instantly broke Valerie’s defense.
The warm embrace almost brought tears to her eyes, making her unable to hold back her urge to cry and pour out her heart.
But this was not her own mother.
The conflicting emotions were about to explode in Valerie’s chest.
She took a deep breath and then reached out, gently embracing Ramona,
The little head quietly leaned toward her head.
It was warm.
The starry sky in my mind once again appeared blurred.
Valerie trembled as she exhaled a breath, and she opened her mouth.
“Ramona... I couldn’t go back anymore.”
