The Return

Theo/Gage's POV

It took a lot of convincing from Izzy to get us back home. We did not want to return home 'cause we knew the next time we saw Adrian we were going to kill him. We're not exaggerating. He hurt my baby sister, now we'll hurt him.

"You're not going to kill him." Izzy says to us with a small chuckle. We look over at her with narrowed eyes, hating that she can read everything in our minds now. She smiles over at us before winking and skipping the rest of the way to the house. We roll our eyes before following her, not focusing on what we'll do to him. As we see the house we spot Mom and Dad talking to a few people, they all seem to be really good friends from the looks of it. Must be the friends that she called for. She sees us and waves us over, making the group look at us in curiosity. We walk over to them quickly and stand next to Mom.

"Everyone this is Theo, our son." They all look at Mom likes she's crazy before assessing us over.

"I thought Bane-"

"Long story, will explain it all later." Mom says, interrupting the pretty lady. She rolls her eyes at Mom before turning to, what we assume, her mate. The man stands there with a stoic face, though you can see a glint of humour behind his eyes.

"Theo, this is Charlotte and her mate James. Charlotte is the Witches Queen, while James is the Rogue King. Then that is Gabriel, and he's the Dragons King." Mom says, pointing towards everyone. We nod our heads and smile at everyone.

"Nice to meet you Theo." Charlotte says to us. We go to speak but stop and try to use what we've learned with sign language. They all look at us in confusion before Gabriel's eyes brighten.

"Oh, you can't talk. Still learning sign language aren't you?" He asks us while chuckling. We blush slightly, embarrassed that we messed up. He puts his arm around our shoulder before leading us inside the house, chatting away, telling me about his nephew who uses sign language.

"Since when did you become a big mouth Gabe?" Mom asks him teasingly as we all sit in the living room. He playfully glares over at Mom before continuing to talk. We then suddenly hear two pairs of footsteps walking in. We look up and immediately growl, seeing Adrian with that girl on his arm. He smiles down at her before looking up then turning pale when his eyes land on us. Good, he should be scared.

"Can I speak to you Theo?" We answer back with a snarl, not wanting anything to do with him. He sighs before looking at us pleadingly. We turn away from his direction, wanting to ignore him. We feel Izzy place her hand on our shoulder before telling us to go talk to him. We go to argue but by the look she gives us we decide to stay quiet. We mentally groan before standing up and walking past him, bumping our shoulder with his harshly. Once outside we look over at him, waiting for him to speak.

"Alright I know you're mad-"

"Mad? I'm furious Adrian! Why the hell would you reject my sister but can be with someone who's not your mate! You are the idiot for rejecting her, you will regret this for the rest of your life. I almost never had a mate Adrian, that was the one thing I wanted my whole life! I was meant to never have it! You were given the privilege to have another half-"

"That's just it Theo! I never wanted a mate! I never wanted one because I loathed the idea of being in love with someone because you had to! Having a mate never gave me a choice. I want to choose who I fall in love with, I don't want someone telling me who I should and should not love. All my life I was told what to do, never being able to make my own choices. I've seen how mates would be if they never really loved each other. It's awful Theo! They'd go off with someone else and yet still come home to each other. I don't want that. I'm sorry for hurting your sister, I never wanted it to end like this. I hoped that I never met my mate, but I did. I love my fiancè Theo, and I know she loves me. I know that you'll never forgive me for hurting Callie, and I completely understand but this was my decision and I made it." We could only stare at him in shock.

"Did you ever think how it would affect Callie? You made her leave because she couldn't bare to see you with that other girl every day. You made this decision Adrian, but know that you'll regret it. No matter how many times you convince yourself that it was the right thing to do. You'll always regret it." We say before leaving him there and walking back into the house.

We see Izzy approach us before leading us upstairs. We enter our room before laying down with her and holding her close to us. We hum as she slowly runs her fingers through our hair, smiling down at us.

"I say you handled that really well." She whispers to us softly, resting her head on our chest.

"Thanks, but it still won't help Callie. She's always wanted to find her mate and now that she did, he rejected her. It's my fault she met him." We says saddly, looking up at the ceiling.

"None of this is your fault Theo. Adrian made his choice, and thats his fault. And look on the bright side, now Callie can meet someone who will love and treat her right." She had a point, Callie could meet someone who deserves her. She deserves that.

"I want to go visit her." We say looking up at her. She smiles before pecking our lips.

"I want to as well. Maybe after all this drama we'll go." We nod our head before flipping us over. She bursts out laughing as we stare down at her. She stops laughing before reaching up and running her fingers down our cheek.

"Love you." She whispers, making us smile.

"Love you too." We says back before pressing our lips to hers, kissing her slowly. She wraps her arms around our neck, bringing us closer.

The kiss started off slowly but became more heated and passionate, causing us to let out a low groan. Our hand slowly went under her shirt, moving upwards as we continued to kiss.

"Help!" We suddenly hear, causing us to break away from the kiss before rushing down the stairs. We gasp as we see Aunt Macey on the floor, all bloody. Everyone else runs in before Uncle Cole rushes over to her, checking her pulse. We all cover our ears as we hear a loud growl coming from behind everyone. They all separate and Uncle Bruce comes rushing over to Aunt Macey.

"Baby who did this?" He asks, not even trying to hide the fact that he's crying.

"S-Sarah. T-They teamed up w-with B-Bane." She says before going limp. Uncle Bruce immediately starts to panic but calms down when Uncle Cole explains that she just passed out. The both of them leave us all, heading to the infirmary.

"Sarah! Are you kidding me!" Charlotte yells angrily, hitting a wall. Uncle James pulls her into his embrace, trying to calm her down.

"Who is Sarah?" Asks Izzy as she looks over at everyone.

"The Angels Queen."
