Chapter 363 Pay the Price
“I have nothing to say to you. You and Elena conspired to bully my daughter, and I will make you pay the price you deserve.”
Willard shouted manically.
At this moment, a police siren sounded not far away.
“Mr. Aylward, the police are here!”
The subordinates immediately became nervous and looked at Willard worriedly.
“What are you afraid of? It’s not like they’re looking for us.”
Willard still believes in himself until now.
“Really? Why are you so confident? Could it be...”
Before Lamont finished speaking, several subordinates in Willard’s car appeared in a hurry.
“Mr. Aylward, a disaster is imminent. This woman called the police. Now these cops are here for us. We’d better get out of here.”
“What? Did she call the police?”
Willard frowned, obviously still unwilling to believe this fact.
“It is indeed true. We found that the mobile phone in her hand had dialed out the alarm call.”
The subordinate lowered his head and said worriedly.
They were afraid of being reprimanded.
“Damn it! We are so close to success. But... forget it. Let’s go. I don’t want anyone to see us.”
Willard finally had to leave.
“Got it!”
However, Lamont did not intend to let them go. He glanced at the men beside him, rushed to the car, opened the door directly,
and controlled the driver.
“What are you going to do?” Willard asked nervously.
“Naturally, I want to make a deal with you. If you let Ms. Cisneros go, I will consider not making an -enemy of you.”
Lamont grabbed the car door, staring at Willard with cold eyes.
“Lamont, don’t you care about Elena? I didn’t expect that you would change your mind quite quickly. You had a crush on that
woman and finally fell in love with someone else. How interesting! Elena is of no use to me either. It would be easy to kill her. Let
her go for once!”
Willard waved his hand, and the men behind him threw the bound Amelie off the car.
Lamont quickly caught her.
Immediately afterward, the RV drove away.
By the time the police arrived, there was no trace of them.
Amelie’s hands were tied, and her mouth was also sealed.
Lamont looked at her distressedly and quickly untied her.
“Sorry to make you suffer.”
“I didn’t expect that you would still have such a trick. I thought you were really gonna leave me alone.”
Amelie tidied her hair.
“How can you say that? How can I leave you alone? We are also partners anyway.”
Lamont said with a smile and then looked at the police car on the other side.
His assistant hurried to solve it.
“Since there’s nothing else to do, I’ll go back first.”
Amelie was about to leave, but she was stopped by Lamont after a few steps.
“Wait a moment!”
“Lamont! What do you still want to do?”
Before she finished speaking, Lamont actually hugged her up by the waist.
“What? What are you doing?”
Amelie was startled and shocked.
“Of course, I will send you back. You have injuries on your feet. I saw them.”
Injuries?
Amelie took a look at her foot and found a scratch, but she didn’t know when she scraped it.
“I don’t even feel it.”
Amelie said in a low voice.
“You don’t know to cherish yourself. Ms. Cisneros, how cruel you are!”
Amelie looked at the profile of the man in front of her, and her heart was beating wildly.
She couldn’t count how many times she had intimate contact with him.
Even after a few years, her heart could still beat faster.
After being carried into the car, Lamont started the car to go to the hospital.
“No need to go to the hospital for such a slight injury. Mr. Byron, you should give me a ride home.”
Amelie quickly explained.
“It’s necessary to go. I don’t know if your bruise is caused by metal, you’d better go to the hospital. and have it treated. Don’t
shirk it anymore. Even if you don’t like the hospital, you’ll go when you have to.”
Lamont glanced at the rearview mirror, saw Amelie’s submissive look, and couldn’t help laughing.
Amelie, who was arrogant towards him just now, was obedient and didn’t say a word.
Lamont was not used to her uncanny quietness.
“What are you thinking? Are you worried about Willard?”
Lamont looked at Amelie, who kept silent and was a little worried, thinking that something happened to her.
“Nothing. I’m just thinking about what to do next.”
“What else can we do? Now that things have come to this, we don’t need to worry too much. He’s so arrogant now because he
has this lucrative project.”
“Is that project really valuable? Is it because of the actors or director?” Amelie asked curiously.
“I don’t know much about this. I still need to investigate. Don’t think about work. When we get to the hospital, you can have a rest
in the ward.”
“No, I don’t want to be in the hospital.”
Amelie firmly opposed it.
Lamont was very surprised when he heard her answer.
“Why? It’s...”
“Mr. Byron, please take me home first. I want to go back now.”
Amelie’s face turned pale.
The last place she didn’t want to go right now was the hospital.
Whether it was because of his family or Lamont and herself, she had come into contact with the hospital many times, so it was
inevitable that there would be some conflicts in her heart.
“Okay, since you don’t want to go to the hospital, I won’t force you either.”
Lamont said calmly, then looked in the rearview mirror. He found Amelie pale, which made him distressed.
He didn’t know why she reacted so strongly.
Neither of them spoke during the half-hour drive.
Amelie didn’t open her eyes until they reached the downstairs of the apartment.
She was exhausted today.
Lamont got out of the car immediately, opened the door, and carefully helped Amelie out of the car.
“I’ll take you up.”
“No need. It’s getting late, you should go back quickly.”
Amelie directly refused and shook off Lamont’s hand.
“You are a little weak now, and your hands are cold!”
“No, Mr. Byron, We’re in a different place now, and too much intimacy is not appropriate.”
Amelie directly refused and insisted on going upstairs by herself.
Seeing her stubborn appearance, Lamont was furious.
“You are still so stubborn, you haven’t changed at all.”
“What?”
Amelie looked puzzled.
Lamont hugged herself directly without giving her a chance to react.
“You put me down!”
Amelie struggled, but Lamont didn’t respond to it.
