The Return of the Assassins

Once done with our morning routine we all went to Ace Industries head office to go and see the two creators that was capture. We went down into the basement at the company, there were cells lining both walls and they were surrounded by silver bars. The smell was enough to make anyone want to run away, it smelled of blood and sweat, it was cold and dark. I don’t know how anyone can be able to survive here longer than a few hours, now I am glad that Alexander refused that Violet come with us. As we made our way down the line of cells I was glad to see them empty except for the two cells at the end of the hall. Once in front of the cells holding the creators, my breath was caught in my throat and my heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to come out of my chest. “Just breathe love, just breath.” As Alexander put his hand on my back I started to relax and take a good look at them. They were hideous; the one looked like a Vampire with the tail of a Dragon and the claws of a Wolf. The other one made a sound which was actually beautiful like a song out of a fairy tale, he was definitely a Siren, but had fangs like a Vampire and a Wolfs hind legs and tail. It was unnatural and they both smelled like death. Alexander looked at me and started to brief me on what they found out since they were here. “They have not shifted into human form since they have been here, so we are guessing that they can’t shift at all. They eat raw meat only, nothing else. They do not speak no matter what we do.” “So you are the ones that inflicted those wounds on them? I asked a little angry, I know that they needed answers, but it is not their fault they are this way, whoever did this to them was the monster not them. They are just following their orders and instincts.

“No Baby girl not all of those wounds were our doing, we started with it, but then they started to hurt themselves so we stopped.” “So what you are telling me is, that they do whatever they see….?” “It looks that way Scar,” Marcus said while going closer to the cells and they went mad from him being so close. “Marcus stop that…you can see they don’t like it” “Really Scar they are monsters why would we care.” “I care Marcus they are made this way, I am sure they did not ask for this.” As I stepped closer to one of the cells I saw his eyes started to change as if he is really trying to get the human side back, but it was short lived and soon was back to trashing around and hurting itself. I felt sad and I felt a tear go down my cheek as I look at this creature, how lonely it must have felt, how hurt it must be and how much he was probably wishing for death to take it. That is when we heard the one at our back trying to speak, but it sounded more like grunts than words. I turned around looking at it and I felt my heart constricting as I saw tears coming from its eyes. “Love no….” Alexander tried to grab at my hand so that I would not be able to go closer. “Alexander it won’t harm me, don’t worry I know what I am doing.

Once in front of the creature I pushed my hand through the bars and he took it in one of his claw like hands, but not hurting me and I heard him speak. “Please kill us he won’t stop until all is dead.” I felt the pressure on my hand increase and I pulled it back quickly as his eyes became black once more and he started trashing around again. Alexander grabbed me and pulled me into his embrace and I let a few more tears slipped. We heard someone coming down the stairs, as we looked down the pathway we saw Blake and he informing us that the Council is waiting for us in the boardroom.

Once entering the boardroom I have composed myself, wearing a blank expression on my face as Aldan was among them and I just felt it in the pit of my stomach that he had something to do with it. Once seated Chinn started the projector and images of the creature’s shone on the screen. “Who would do that…..how did they have it done?” Logan asked while looking at the images. “We are not sure at this stage, but we are going to find out soon, that I can promise.” Alexander said in a dark and deathly tone that would let anyone shake in their boots. “Well the only explanation I can think off for this is, that the creatures were forced to shift and once done they took parts off them putting it on each other to form this…this…I don’t even know what to call them” Ella said from the side. “Experiments…” Everyone looking at Violet as she spoke, “We can call them experiments.” All of us nodded at that, but Aldan, “What make you think that they are just experiments.” “Because I have a feeling that this is not over,” she said while looking at me and we shared a knowing look. “So we are supposed to go on a feeling that a kid have to say that this was only a first attack,” Aldan said and Alexander let out a growl warning him that his pythons are running out. “This is not just any kid we are talking about, she will be able to put you on your ass in seconds, so if you cannot show respect I suggest that you keep your comments to yourself.” Jax said as he was glaring at Aldan. “So you think all those experiments we killed were not the end?” “No it was not the end something bigger is coming.”

Everyone went quiet for a moment and then the doors burst open and in the middle stood a woman. The most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She was dressed in an all-black dress with wings the colour of rainbows it was gorgeous. Her hair was white as freshly fallen snow and her skin was tanned to a light brown and her aura screamed obedience and power. I saw in the corner of my eye Alexander went pale as if all blood drained from his face and I am sure that they did not fall under his ruling for him to react this way.

“Good day everyone.” She greeted and her voice sound like a gentle song that will fill your heart up with happiness and sadness at the same time. Alexander shaking his head a little and let out a sigh, “Good day Sonja, to what do we own the pleasure of your presence among us.” “O stop with you pleasantries Alexander, I am here to find out who has taken my fairy’s and why are they being tortured.” She took a slow step forward and started to talk in a threatening tone, “And if you have something to do with this...rests assure I will bring my army and I will end all of you.” I stood up and walk right in front of her looking her straight in the eye. “I can promise you that we have nothing to do with this, we have also lost a lot of our men, so if you are just here to threaten us I would suggest you take your leave” I said as I let my aura out pushing hers back as she is making my boys uncomfortable with her presence and pissing me off. She took in a strong breath and her eyes started to shine brighter, it looked like a thousand stars were in them. “O may… Assassins, well isn’t this a nice surprise. You always had such short tempers. Now sweetheart…tell me why would Assassins be involved with something that has clearly to do with creatures of the night.” Well darling…human lives were taken that is why we are involved.” She started laughing and my blood was boiling even more. “O…I am so sorry; you want to tell me that it has nothing to do with that mark you are clearly displaying on your neck. Now tell me another thing,” She said as she walk around me to the table and took a seat next to Blake. “How is an Assassin mated to a Hybrid… an Assassin Queen that is against the law of the assassins, isn’t it?”

“Do not even try to know anything.” I said in a low but calm voice before turning around and walking back to my seat next to Alexander. Violet looked at her in awe and anger, “Where did you came from, I did not even know that fairies existed.” “O but we do, in a secluded land, that is not tainted with anyone ells. What I would really like to know is how did they find us and how were they able to kidnap five of my fairies?” “Well welcome to the club.” I said with as much sarcasm as I could muster. “I like you.” Is all she said as she looked around the table. “I know it is one of the creatures of the night as I can see her face through my fairies that is being tortured.” “Well can you give us a description of how the guy looks?” Damien asked. “Hmmm…it’s not a he it is a she little Dragon and she looks a lot like him.” She pointed at Aldan who took in a sharp breath. “I can promise you I have nothing to do with this; I am a council member here to protect the creatures of the night.” As he said that, I can see the fear in his eyes and I stared at him as if he was the only one in the room and I saw that he was sweating a little and that is when I knew he was definitely part of this, but I needed evidence, so I started forming a plan in my head and I hope Amara can catch on in what I was going to do now.

“Amara is that potion ready that you were working on.” I look her straight in the eye and gave a slight nod and to my relief she was playing along. “It is almost done, about another hour or so.” She replied as everyone else look confused. “What potion?” Jason asked as he was looking between us and I answered. The potion that is going to help us to turn those creatures back to their human form so that we can get some answers.” “What!...I mean…you want to tell me those things are still alive, they should be dead by now.” Aldan said while jumping up. Alexander looked at him with no emotion on his face as he asked, “Now why would they not be alive anymore…..Alden.” Venom was dripping from his voice as he spoke. “Not….nothing I just thought you would have taken care of them by now, before they get out and make trouble.” He said while gaining his composure again and I am sure that everyone has caught up on what I have just done. We hear someone clearing there throat and caught all our attention. “Well this is going nowhere at this point and I have things to do so let me know if you found something worth my time.” Aldan said as he went out of the room not even waiting for Alexander’s reply. Alexander hit his fist down on the table almost breaking it and I could feel the anger rolling of him as he looked at Jason. “Follow him and see what is going on.” Jason bowed his head and turned invisible as he left the room going after Aldan. I took his hand in mine as he brought it to his lips leaving a kiss on it and then I let my walls in my mind fall to take some of his anger on me to calm him down.

“So Alexander now that we know it is one of your own that is behind this, what are you going to do about it.” She looked so pleased with herself, it made my hand twitch “We are going to investigate, but first we need to know what they are doing to these experiments. Maybe there is a way to reverse the damage done.” He said looking at Amara and Jax. Ella looked at him confused as she ask, “But how are we going to reverse this if they have been under surgery to make them look like this.” Sonja looks at her head, but before she could say anything I cut in. “Ella I don’t think that they went under surgery I think they got injected with other species genes and that forced them to turn into whatever they are and of course they had failed on some, so they send them outside the Royals city for us to dispose of them.” “Well that makes some sense but there is a problem and that is that our genes will pull them apart we were not made to co-exist in one body.” Logan said as he looked at all of us. Jax spoke up next and said, “There is dark magic that can actually help with this, so it could be possible.” “So we know that Vampires and dark Witches are working together on this. Sonja said while shaking her head. Alexander just ignores her as he looks to Amara. “Can you reverse this with a spell?” “We can try but it is going to take time.” “Then let’s get busy we need answers.”

Alexander then turned to Liam, “Liam I want all the scouts to go and gather information and to look for where ever this is happening we need to destroy this before they get to make an ultimate fighting machine.” “We are on it.” If I were you I would surge underground,” Violet spoke. “Why underground?” Liam asked. “Well I was just thinking if you were busy with something like this, you would do it somewhere that makes it difficult for anyone to find and you wouldn’t want someone to accidentally stumble upon it.” “The little one has a great head on her, I would listen if I were you,” Sonja exclaimed and Violet just glared at her not appreciating the little one comment so much. “I would be around until we can sort this out and don’t look so worried Alexander I won’t do anything to hurt your prestige city.” At that she just disappeared and it felt as if we can all breathe again the air was so tense with her here that you could cut it with a knife. “So what now?” I ask Alexander. “Now love, we wait and see what they find out and prepare for a war.” “I have to do some work in my office will you guys be fine without me.” “Yes we will be fine, don’t worry about us.” He then took my chin in his hand and kissed me with passion and desperation. “See you later love. I love you.” “I love you to.”

As Alexander left Violet turned to me and I could see anger in her eyes as her aura started pushing out. “Mom...I really, desperately want to go and punch something now.” “I know love...lets go train.”
