The Return Of The Amazing Single Mom By Wendy Titus

Chapter 92

Chapter 92

As Anna watched the enthusiastic scene in the crowd, her heart felt like it was being bitten by countless ants.

“Anna, you said Lindsay wasn’t smart, but she just gave you a taste of your own medicine.”

Listening to the mockery from others, Anna disdainfully replied, “What taste of my own medicine? She could not even speak. How could she be better than me? Hmph.”

Anna looked disdainful. So what if Lindsay got first place?

She was just a dumb girl who couldn’t speak.

How could she compare to her?

Oliver and Milo walked up to Lindsay. Milo smiled and said, “Little Tail, you’re amazing. Let’s play again against each other

next time.”

Oliver spoke to Milo, “You will only lose.”

Upon hearing this, Milo immediately had teary eyes.

He said, ‘Oliver, how could you hurt me like this? I’m your dear brother.”

Oliver said calmly, “Im telling the truth”

Milo acted dramatically and sobbed.

Lindsay watched the brothers playfully interact and felt joy bloom in her heart.

Oliver looked at Lindsay, his usually cold face showing a hint of warmth in his eyes. “No matter what, always remember that you’re the best.”

With her brother’s affirmation, Lindsay smiled brightly.

At that moment, the principal held the microphone and excitedly announced. “Now we have our champion, Lindsay! Now, please welcome Mr. Matthew Taylor, the general manager of Jasper Holdings, to present the gold medal to our first-place winner Lindsay, as well as the Astor Castle Dollhouse, worth 8.5 million dollars”

The Astor Castle Dollhouse was brought out by several people. It was exquisite and dazzling, eliciting admiration from the

entire audience.

“I’m so envious.”

“Envy won’t get you anywhere. Lindsay earned it with her skills.”

At that moment, Anna sarcastically remarked, “I wonder what she’ll say in her acceptance speech. Should we give her a pen and paper? It would be quite a joke if people found out that the intellectual champion of Star Kindergarten cannot speak.” The award ceremony began, and Lindsay stood on the highest podium. Matthew placed the gold medal around her neck. “Congratulations, young lady,” Matthew said.

Lindsay nodded with a smile.

Matthew placed the silver medal around Oliver’s neck, his hands trembling

After all, it was nerve-wracking to present an award to his boss.

“Why are your hands shaking so much? Do you need a break?” Oliver asked with a hint of impatience.

Matthew was startled a little. Would Oliver suspend him?

Matthew stuttered, “I’m fine, I’m okay. Just…”

Before Matthew could finish his sentence, Oliver shot him a glare, effectively silencing him.

Oliver showed slight impatience and said, “Hurry up and move, don’t block the champion’s spotlight.”

Matthew quickly and skillfully placed the silver medal on Oliver, then went on to present the bronze medal to Milo.

Oliver finally relaxed his brows. Now the speed of the ceremony was picking up.

After Matthew finished presenting the awards, the principal became overly excited and reflexively said, “Now, let’s invite our champion, Lindsay, to say a few words.”

It was supposed to be a standard phrase, even a predetermined pattern of words on the awards stage.

But after the principal finished speaking, the teachers next to her frantically signaled to her.

The principal suddenly realized that she had made a big mistake.

Lindsay, the little princess of the Reeves family, couldn’t speak. It was something known throughout Archiland. And she had

blatantly offended the Reeves family.

She was done for this time. The previous principal had left too quickly, and now she would have to follow in her footsteps.

It was a miserable situation

What should she do now?

The principal was on the verge of tears, and everyone looked at each other in confusion. The atmosphere in the venue was as silent as death.

At this moment, Anna stood up and sarcastically said, “Principal Hill, Lindsay can’t speak. It’s unfair to ask her to give an acceptance speech. I’m her classmate, so why don’t I speak on her behalf?”

The principal, unsure of what to do, could only try to ease the tension.

She said. “It’s great that Lindsay has such a nice classmate.”

After speaking, Anna confidently walked up to the stage. She didn’t think there was anything special about Lindsay getting first place.

It was a joke that Lindsay couldn’t even deliver a speech and had to rely on someone else.

Thinking about this. Anna swept away the gloom and proudly approached the teacher to request the microphone.

*Oliver, I can’t stand Anna’s antics anymore, Milo said furiously.

Milo was ready to jump off the stage. This time, Oliver didn’t stop him either.

Anna had gone too far. They had already given her a lesson, but now she still tried to embarrass Lindsay.

Lindsay saw that her big brothers were angry, and she knew she couldn’t let them get worked up because of her.

There were things she could handle by herself!

Lindsay quickly jumped down the podium and walked up to the principal, who looked astonished.

Under the principal’s stunned gaze, she took the microphone from the principal’s hand and spoke up.

“Hello, everyone. I’m Lindsay. I like to express my gratitude for this award, especially to my big brothers. It’s because of their support that I know I can be fearless. I’m happy, and I hope everyone can be as happy as me

As soon as Lindsay spoke, the whole venue went into an uproar.

“Oh my, Lindsay can actually speak! She’s not a dumb girl, and her voice sounds so beautiful.”

“And she’s so beautiful. She’s the future mheritor of the Reeves Group and so intelligent. She completely surpasses us.” Suddenly, they no longer idolized the members of the Celestial Squad. Instead, they idolized Lindsay.

“Lindsay, you’re amazing! You’re incredible.”

After Lindsay spoke, Anna, who was still on the stage, became like a clown. She had initially intended to “save the day” and mock Lindsay.

But now she had become the biggest joke herself

Oliver and Milo were thrilled to see Lindsay speaking.

Milo hugged Oliver and said, “Oli, this is great! Little Tail can talk now.”

Oliver remained calm and said, “Call me Oliver.”

Milo awkwardly chuckled, realizing that Oliver was pretending to be calm even though he was also excited. What a shy boy.

Anna, watching Lindsay steal all the attention, became extremely frustrated. Her teeth were grinding in anger.

Milo approached Anna and said, “Why don’t you hurry up and leave? It’s embarrassing to stand here, isn’t it?”

Anna reluctantly went down with immense resentment in her heart.

Lindsay stood on the stage, basking in the spotlight, and observed everyone’s praise. She felt a flicker of emotion in her eyes. Inside the hospital, when Christine entered, her colleagues greeted her warmly.

“Dr. Nancy, good morning.”

Dr. Nancy, good morning”

The colleagues’ enthusiastic greetings caught Christine off guard. What surprised her more was that Chloe’s lackey, Amelia, was among those who greeted her even though they had beef in the past.

With a shameless demeanor, Amelia approached Christine and said, “Dr. Nancy, I saw you coming out of Mr. Reeves’s Maybach just now. You said you went with Mr. Reeves for the ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday, but you didn’t return to

the hospital all day. Mr. Reeves even dropped you off this morning. I was right beside the car, and I saw that Mr. Reeves had dark circles under his eyes. It seems like you two had quite a conversation last night.”

Christine was in a hurry when she got out of the car and didn’t notice Amelia standing nearby. But previously, they had always been cold and sarcastic towards her. Whenever she was associated with Randall, they wished they could bury her alive. Why were they suddenly so warm towards her now?
