The Return Of The Amazing Single Mom By Wendy Titus

Chapter 48

Chapter 48

Milo took Little Tail’s paper and pen and wrote down the prescription. “Charred Largehead Atractylodes Rhizome 0.5 oz. Broiled Ural Licorice 0.3 oz. Membranous Milkvetch Rhizome 07 oz. Dried Tangerine Peel 0.3 oz, Largetrifoliolious Bugbane Rhizome 0.2 oz. Thorowax Rhizome 0.2 oz, Angelica Rhizome 0.4 oz, Poria 0.5 oz, Yam Rhizome 0.5 oz. Medicated Leaven 0.7 oz. Wrinkled Gianthyssop 0.3 oz. Grassleaf Sweetflag Rhizome 0.3 oz, Suberect Spatholobus Stem 1 oz. Total seven doses, one daily dose, and two times boiled with water.”

Lindsay looked at Milo with admiration, thinking he was awesome. He was also knowledgeable in prescriptions for illnesses.

Instantly, her respect for him was like a surging river stretching endlessly.

She wanted to be by her mommy’s side so she could learn medicine like Milo.

Lindsay’s shower of adoration lifted Milo from his depression of being at the bottom of the ranking to cloud nine.

He handed the prescription to Randall Reeves. The little boy’s logical diagnosis and the listing of ingredients on the prescription impressed him.

However, it was a prescription written by a six–year–old child. Randall wondered if he would die from taking it.

“Are you sure your prescription is for treating taste failure?” Randall asked suspiciously.

Milo knew that Randall did not trust him. He said calmly, “No.”

No? Was Milo toying with him then?

Milo looked at his scumbag dad’s gloomy face and explained calmly, “The prescription aims to nourish your inner energy, strengthen the spleen, and improve circulation. Poria, yam, and leaven strengthen the spleen to improve digestion, while gianthyssop and grassleaf sweetflag remove dampness from the spleen. Grassleaf sweetflag also helps to clear the brain and opens up the mind. It’s especially effective for illnesses caused by wet phlegm blocking the sinus. The suberect spatholobus stem is commonly used to nourish the blood. This prescription targets specific illnesses. Although it doesn’t treat the tongue, it can restore the body and taste of the tongue.”

Randall was stunned, thinking that Christine did a good job raising a six–year–old child with such scholarly knowledge.

Meanwhile, Christine looked at Milo approvingly and said, “Your understanding of the effects of medicinal herbs has improved, and your prescription is not bad. Although it doesn’t treat the tongue, it allows the body to recover and achieve the effect of healing the taste buds. I don’t think I can write a better prescription than you.

Christine’s forte was neurosurgery. Although she dabbled in traditional medicine, some people were born blessed with unique talents, like her son, Milo, whose knowledge of traditional medicine was astounding.

She paled in comparison next to him.

“Thank you for your compliment, Mommy. I’ll work even harder.”

Milo was delighted by his mother’s approval.

Christine indirectly confirmed that the prescription should work.

Randall thought all he had to do was to get the prescription filled.

Unexpectedly, Milo took out a small sheepskin scroll and swiftly unrolled it; there were more than a hundred neatly arranged silver needles in different sizes.

Milo picked up a silver needle with an icy smile. “Acupuncture is a must if you want to recover quickly. Uncle, open your mouth. I want to insert a few needles into your tongue.”

“What?”

Randall’s eyes almost popped out with surprise. The little boy wanted to insert needles into his tongue.

“Uncle. I’m skilled in acupuncture. Open your mouth wide and say, ahh!”

He held a silver needle in his chubby little hand, looking innocent. However, Randall was scared out of his wits

He would be a sicko if opened his mouth willingly.

“Go away!” Randall said dismissively.

“Uncle, you’re an adult. Are you afraid of needles?”

Milo’s bright eyes flickered with mockery as he glanced at Randall.

The latter took offense; he had never been mocked before.

Chapter 48

“There’s nothing in this world that I’m afraid of!”

Randall raised his brows and said in a deep voice confidently.

Randall’s reaction amused Milo, unaware he had just shot himself in the foot.

“Very well. Open your mouth now, and let me insert a few needles into your tongue.”

Milo walked toward Randall excitedly.

The latter smiled and said, I’m afraid of nothing in this world, even losing my sense of taste.”

Milo was stunned. His scumbag dad had twisted his words around to avoid the silver needles.

Lindsay, are you done eating? Let’s go after you’re done. Your grandma and great–grandma are very worried about you,” Randall turned to Lindsay and said.

He wanted to leave as soon as possible. Milo would not hear of it.

“No, scum–uh, Uncle, you can’t leave yet. I’m obliged as a doctor to treat you with my best. I can’t let you leave without

proper treatment.”

Just then, Milo felt Oliver communicating with him telepathically.

“Milor, does our scumbag dad need acupuncture?”

“There’s no need, Brother. I just want to take the opportunity to make him suffer a little.”

“Okay, I’ll help you.”

Oliver stepped forward to stop Randall from leaving. He said indifferently, “Mr. Reeves, although we are not related, Mommy has always taught us to be kind. Even if it’s just a dog lying sick on the road, we should try our best to save it.”

Oliver clarified he wanted to treat Randall because he cared about him, even if they were unrelated.

Oliver had indirectly implied he was glad he was not related to Randall.

At this moment, Lindsay wrote on a piece of paper.

“Boys, stop messing with my daddy. Acupuncture hurts!”

“It wouldn’t be fun if it didn’t hurt, thought Milo. He wanted badly for his scumbag dad to suffer.

The two brothers suddenly became speechless, wondering why Lindsay was always present when they communicated telepathically.

Randall raised his brows, annoyed the two little boys dared to mess with him. He was someone who had the entire Archiland under his thumb.

These two little boys tried to cause trouble; they must be tired of living.

“You’re not trying to cure me; you’re trying to mess with me,” Randall exclaimed.

Milo said awkwardly, “Why would I want to mess with you? I really want to treat you, Uncle.”

“All right, tell me about this tongue prick. What kind of treatment is it?”

Randall raised his eyebrows, expecting Milo to make things up as he explained.

Milo was embarrassed. Randall did not need any acupuncture treatment. His illness would be cured with medicine alone. It was his way of punishing his scumbag dad, who refused to acknowledge him before. He wanted Randall to suffer to show that he meant it.

Christine came to Milo’s rescue and hurriedly shielded him behind her. She looked at Randall and explained, “My son didn’t mess with you. Acupuncture can stimulate the tongue, improve local blood circulation, and increase flexibility. It can achieve the effect of clearing the meridians and adjusting the blood and inner energy.”

A sinister smile crept up on Randall’s gloomy face as if Christine had said something funny.

The latter tried to recall what she had just said. She could not figure out what brought a smile to the living King of Hell.

Just then, Randall leaned over and whispered into Christine’s car in a low and charming voice, “How do you know that my tongue is not flexible if you haven’t tried it before?”

Christine felt dizzy as if someone had struck her head.

She recalled Milo saying he had used some infertility powder on Randall before. Apparently, it was not effective in suppressing his wicked thoughts.

Randall’s unsavory thoughts amazed Christine.

Chapter 48

If she had known earlier, she would not have stopped Milo from giving him an entire bottle and eliminating his evil roots. That way, he could not take advantage of her again.

Christine’s blushing face deepened Randall’s mischievous smile.

“We’re leaving, Lindsay. Thank Anut Nancy for the meal.”

Randall looked at Milo and said, “Kid, I’ll fill the prescription you gave me. I owe you a favor. Come to me if you need anything in the future.

Randall left with his daughter after that.

Christine was left standing in the living room awkwardly.

Milo walked to her side and said, “Mommy, what did scumbag dad tell you? You don’t look too good. Did he threaten you?”

Christine was stunned by his concern momentarily.
