Chapter THIRTYTWO-FAILURE AS A FATHER (Part 2)
Blake POV
Once Declan left the cave, I grabbed Sarah by her wrists and hoisted her off the ground.
"Let me go, you bastard!" she shouted, and I reached my hand back and smacked her face.
I watched as Sarah fell to the ground, and she grabbed her face and gasped.
"Shut up!" I said as spit flew everywhere, and my eyes switched to onyx black.
"Because of you! I lost everything."
"Because of you, I have no son or pack to lead."
"Because of you, I have a daughter who couldn't obey the simplest rules and fucked everything up!" I growled as Sarah backed up and tried hugging the wall.
"Because you could not produce a son for me, I had to take matters into my own hands and try to find a suitable mate for Rachel."
"That was until Silas set his sights on her and wanted to take her as a chosen Luna."
"Mate bond be damned! Everything was perfect until she went to the mating ball and found her mate!" I shouted.
I heard paws thumping and knew the Blue Eclipse pack had my men boxed in.
"Blake Sullivan, come out!" I listened to the deep accent and felt an immense aura.
I grabbed Sarah again and held her against my body with a silver knife pinned to her back. She gasped.
"Be quiet and listen to what I say."
"Do that, and we will make it out of this alive," Sarah whimpered but stopped her thrashing.
"Good girl," I said, kissing her cheek as she tried to turn her head away.
We exited the cave, and I saw my men on their knees, surrounded by wolves. The young Alpha was the only one in human form. I looked past him to see Rachel on the back of a white wolf while a massive black wolf stood beside her, and he growled at me.
"Mom!" Rachel shouted, and I smirked. I laughed at the Alpha and his pack of mutts.
"You think you have the upper hand, young Alpha?" I smirked and turned Sarah so everyone could see a silver knife pinned against her back.
"One wrong move and this knife ends her life!" I shouted and heard growls.
I heard Rachel gasp, and the young Alpha with his onyx-black eyes zeroed in on me. I smirked victoriously.
"Now, kindly go back to your pack and leave my mate and daughter, and no one will die tonight," I said.
"You are a coward!" the young Alpha shouted at me.
"Using an innocent woman for your selfish greed," he said as my eyes widened. Boulder growled at this pup's disrespect.
"Kill him! We are an Alpha, damn it!" Boulder roared.
"How Rachel got stuck with you as a Father and Sarah got stuck with you as a mate is beyond me."
"You're a shitty mate and a poor excuse of an Alpha," Boulder growled and pushed Sarah to the ground.
"You will regret that pup!" Boulder snarled as we shifted.
"Your failure as a Father is why Rachel acts the way she does."
"But I still love her even with all her flaws!" he continued talking, and Boulder growled.
I watched a smirk appear on Alpha's face as he shifted into a massive white wolf. Boulder gave a vicious growl at this pup's disrespect for calling us a terrible Dad and Alpha. Boulder charged, snapping his jaw at the young Alpha.
The massive white wolf charged at us with lightning speed and knocked Boulder into a tree.
"Get up!" I shouted, and Boulder growled at me.
I heard a growl and saw Ace standing as he watched patiently. Boulder got to his feet and snapped his teeth at the wolf. I watched his wolf huff and get into a fighting stance.
Boulder again charged with his jaws wide open, aiming straight for Ace's neck. Ace's wolf ducked down, but what surprised us was he tilted his head up and knocked Boulder in his jaw. Boulder whimpered, was knocked to the side, and landed on the ground.
Boulder tried to stand but couldn't. We saw vines sprouting from the ground and grabbing our paws as Boulder thrashed his body and tried to escape.
"What the fuck!" I shouted as Boulder continuously threw his body, but the vines wouldn't break.
We watched as one vine wrapped around our neck and squeezed tightly. Boulder growled and looked into the eyes of the white wolf as he stood before us. He shifted back to his human form and stared at us.
"This is for Rachel, Sarah, and every woman you have ever hurt," he said, and we watched as he flicked his wrist, and with one snap, I fell into the darkness.
Ace POV
After hearing Blake's neck snap, I watched his wolf return to human form. The vines began retreating into the ground as Blake's body fell with a thud. I looked at Rachel and saw no sadness in her eyes. I looked at Sarah and saw the same thing.
This man truly didn't love the women in his life. It was more about power and greed. That won't be an issue anymore as I ended his miserable existence. I turned back to the group of wolves and walked toward the rogues, who all trembled from my Alpha aura.
"What were your gains in this?"
"What did he pay you?" I asked the group and saw the fear in their eyes.
"Please don't kill us. We didn't harm anyone."
"He said if we helped him get his mate back, he would pay us two thousand each," one of the rogues said, and I huffed in annoyance.
"You drugged our warriors and kidnapped a member of my pack. That's grounds for a death sentence," I growled out as the men trembled in fear.
"Kindly return the items you stole and apologize to the lady," I growled as the men scattered toward Sarah.
She backed up slightly as the men approached, and I heard their apologies as they returned every item they took from her cottage.
I walked toward Sarah and the group of rogues, who stood frozen and watched my every move. I made a fireball appear in my hand, and their eyes widened.
"Now, if I see any of you near my pack or my pack members again, I will shove a fireball up each of your asses and watch you all burn to a crisp," I growled out as the men flinched and backed up.
"Now get lost!" I shouted as they scattered and ran in different directions of the forest. I heard a chuckle and turned to see my Father bent over laughing.
"Really, Dad," I huffed in annoyance. He calmed down from his laughing fit and shrugged his shoulders.
"It was pretty funny to see you in Alpha mode."
"You get that smart mouth from your Mother," he chuckled as my Mom's wolf huffed and snapped her teeth at Dad.
"Aww, don't be like that, my love," he rubbed his fingers through her fur as she purred.
I looked at Rachel on Mom's back and walked over to her as the warriors helped Sarah gather the things the rogues had taken.
"Are you okay, little flower?" she nodded and hugged me.
"Thank you," she said, and I felt moisture against my chest.
I realized Rachel was crying and picked her head up to look into her eyes. She smiled as she wiped her eyes. It dawned on me that these were tears of happiness and not sadness. I leaned in and kissed Rachel's lips as she let out a little moan.
"What should we do about Blake's body?" Lucas Jr. asked. I looked at Sarah as she shrugged and turned back to Rachel.
"Just bury it here," Rachel said, and I heard rustling as the shifted warriors were about to start digging.
"Stop," I said, holding a hand up as the warriors looked at me.
"Let me do it," I said as they stepped away.
I used my powers of the earth to move the dirt and make a hole in the ground deep enough for Blake's body. Once the hole was uncovered, I used my air powers to move his body as it rolled into the giant hole with a thud.
I again used my earth power to cover the hole back up. Rafe set some stones by the head and around the tree.
"What's your favorite flower?" I asked Sarah as she looked at me.
"Gardenias," she said as I nodded.
I closed my eyes and pictured white gardenias, lavender, and pink daffodils growing over Blake's grave. As the flowers grew, I opened my eyes and heard gasps.
Blake's Resting Place
"Those are beautiful, Ace," I heard Sarah and Rachel say as I smiled.
"Thank you."
"Gardenias for family, lavender for peace, and daffodils for rebirth and new beginnings."
"May the goddess see fit to give him a second chance at life," I said, watching Sarah and Rachel wipe their eyes.
I heard howls from everyone, sending Blake's spirit off to the moon goddess. After everything was done, we gathered in a group and headed back toward Blue Eclipse. Even though Blake did a lot of evil in his life, he still deserved a second chance. I silently prayed to the moon goddess that Blake finds peace in the afterlife or wherever he may be.
