The Rejected Alpha Wolf

Chapter SIX-ARRIVING BACK AT THE LOTUS SHADOW PACK

Trigger Warning: Abuse and Possible Rape

Rachel POV

"Rachel! I can't fucking believe you."

"You rejected your mate for that sorry excuse for an Alpha Silas!" Chloe shouted at me.

"I love him, Chloe," I said as she shook her head. Amber was silent, but I could see the worry on her face.

"Rachel, I love you as my best friend, but you need to wake up and see Silas for what he is."

"A piece of shit," Chloe said as I gasped and sighed.

"Silas isn't like that. He loves me," I said as Chloe looked at me through the mirror. She sighed and shook her head.

"I hope, for your sake, you're right," she said as we arrived in Lotus Shadow territory. Chloe drove up to the pack house as the Omegas came out and grabbed my bags out of the back.

"We will drop off my brother's truck and pack our things."

"I love you, Rachel. Please call us," I nodded at Chloe as I exited the truck. Amber waved bye, but I saw tears in her eyes.

I watched as my two best friends drove off, and their mates followed.

"Rayne?" I called to my wolf, but there was complete silence. I sighed and walked into the pack house.

"Hello? Anyone home?" I called out.

"Rachel?" I heard my Mother's voice.

"What are you doing home?" she asked, and I sighed.

"Rachel, what did you do?" she asked as the tears flowed.

"Baby, what's wrong?" she hugged me.

"Let's go talk in my office. Your Father had a meeting in another pack, so he'll be home by dinner," she said. I nodded as we walked to my Mother's office.

We arrived at my Mother's office. She closed the door, and I sat on the couch.

"Tell me what's bothering you, dear," I wiped my eyes and looked at my Mother as she sat down.

"I met my mate," I told her as she gasped.

"When? How? Where is he?" she asked, and I sighed.

"That's the difficult part, Mom."

"His name is Ace Silva, and he's the future Alpha of the Blue Eclipse pack."

"I rejected him," She gasped and covered her hands on her mouth.

"Rachel Lynn! I knew you didn't goddess damn well reject the future Alpha of one of the most respected packs in the state!" I turned and looked at my Mother with wide eyes.

"I may be the Luna of Lotus Shadow, but this is still my pack, and it's my job to know about every pack in this state!"

"First of all, Alpha Antonio Silva is a well-respected Alpha. Do you know why everyone shows respect and wants alliances with him?" she asked, and I shook my head.

"Alpha Antonio comes from a royal lineage, and his Luna is a descendant of a white wolf!"

"Do you realize what you have done, Rachel!" my eyes widened.

"Ace Silva is next in line to be Alpha of the Blue Eclipse pack. He is a white wolf like his Mother, and I'm quite sure he has inherited the powers white wolves possess!" she shouted.

I was in utter shock. My mate, whom I rejected, was a white wolf and a powerful soon-to-be Alpha. I had no idea Ace and his family were so influential and well-respected.

"I hope Silas Cartier is worth the damage you have caused for this pack, Rachel."

"I hope your decision doesn't affect our future," my Mother said as she got up and left the office.

I put my face in my hands and cried. I was utterly alone. My friends had found their mates and were moving to Blue Eclipse. My wolf was upset with me and refused to talk to me, and my chosen mate was a person everyone seemed to dislike.

Was my life that complicated and low, and did I have to ruin my best chance at happiness? I got up, left my Mother's office, and went to my bedroom. I closed the door and lay in bed as I cried.

Silas POV

Rachel had been gone since yesterday, and no one seemed to know where she was. I returned to Red River yesterday, angry that Rachel left and didn't tell me where she was going. I called and texted her all day yesterday, and it seemed she cut off her phone, which only angered me more.

I hope Rachel didn't cross paths with her mate because that would ruin my chances of getting Lotus Shadow and increasing my pack. I arrived in my office, and a few minutes later, my Beta Jason walked in.

"Alpha," he bowed as I waved him in.

"Anything?" I asked as he looked nervous.

"We just learned Rachel has returned to Lotus Shadow, sir," he gulped as I gripped my desk.

"Get my car ready. I leave for Lotus Shadow in five minutes!" I shouted as he nodded.

"Yes, Alpha," he hurried out of my office.

"Oh, Rachel, you are going to pay for leaving and not telling me where you were," I smirked and left my office.

After getting outside and into my Rolls Royce.

"I will be gone for a few days, as my mate and I need to get re-acquainted," I told my Beta as he nodded.

I told my driver to head for Lotus Shadow, and we sped off. When I arrived at Lotus Shadow, I thought about what I had planned to do to Rachel. I felt disrespected. I'm an Alpha and demand respect, especially from my chosen mate.

Spike growled in my head as we arrived at the Lotus Shadow pack.

"She needs a lesson in learning who the Alpha is," I thought as my driver parked the car.

"You can return to the pack, Morris. I won't need your service for a few days," I said as he bowed.

"Yes, Alpha," he said as he drove back to Red River.

I stormed up to the door and pushed it open. The omegas bowed.

"Alpha, Cartier," they said as I nodded.

"Where is Rachel?" I demanded as they cowered.

"She's in her bedroom," one of them said.

I ran up the stairs and took two at a time. I was determined to teach Rachel a lesson in disrespecting me. I arrived at Rachel's room and slammed the door open as she jumped up.

"Silas, what the..." she started to say as I raised my hand and smacked her face. She gasped and held her face.

"Where were you?!" I growled as she cried and started shaking.

"I won't ask you again, Rachel. Where the fuck were you?!" I snarled. She gulped as the tears sprang from her eyes. I raised my hand again.

"I was at Blue Eclipse pack," she cried, hiding her face. My eyes widened.

"Why the fuck, where you there?" she shook her head as I grabbed her neck and choked her. She gasped as her tears fell.

"You better explain to me what the fuck you were doing at Blue Eclipse," Spike pushed forward as my eyes turned black, and he growled.

"I met my mate!" she shouted, and I growled.

"I hope to the goddess, you rejected him!" she nodded.

"Good girl, did you sleep with him?" I asked as she froze and her eyes widened. I choked her harder and smacked her face again as her lip split.

"Listen up, you little whore. You are my mate and Luna."

"No other man should ever touch you but me. Is that understood!" I roared.

"Yes," she said. I squeezed harder.

"Yes, what?" she gasped for air.

"Yes, Alpha Silas," she said as she cried.

"Good girl," I told her and kissed her cheek.

"But because you disobeyed and disrespected me."

"I have to teach you a lesson," I said, tossing her on the bed. Her eyes widened.

"Silas, please no!" she cried as I was about to remove my clothes.

"Silas, are you here?" her Father shouted, and I growled.

"Be down in a second. You got lucky this time," I growled at her and left the bedroom, slamming the door closed.

Rachel POV

I cried and felt the blood on my lip. Silas never hit me. This wasn't the Silas I knew. Something changed, and I feared what would happen if I stayed and became his Luna.

"Rayne?" I called to my wolf and still got silence.

Chloe was right. Silas isn't who I thought he was. I fucked up and rejected my mate for a man who claimed to love me. I cried until my eyes were red and puffy.

"Hey, Rachel, do you..." my Mom said as she walked into my room and stopped in her tracks.

"Who did that to your face!" she shouted. I shook my head and cried more.

"Rachel Lynn, tell me right now! Or so help me, moon goddess!" I sighed and covered my face.

"It was Silas," I said as she gasped.

"Why would he hit you?" she asked.

I began to explain everything to my Mother from the beginning until now.

"Rachel, I told you this would come back and bite you in the ass."

"You should've listened to Rayne and accepted Ace as your mate."

"Now this man has put his hands on you and attempted to rape you to make you submit," my Mother said as I sniffled.

Mom was pissed, and I knew Sage wanted to rip Silas to shreds. But he's an Alpha and much stronger, and I don't want my Mother getting hurt because of me.

"Rachel, I think it's best if you leave," my Mom said as I looked at her in shock.

"And go where? My friends are gone, and I rejected my mate," I said as she sighed.

"You don't have a choice."

"Blue Eclipse is your best bet."

"We'll just tell your Father that you and Chloe want to go to L.A. for the week," Mom said as I nodded.

At this point, anything was better than being stuck with Silas. My Mother and I arrived at my Father's office and saw the door cracked open. We heard talking. My mother signaled me to be quiet as I heard Silas's voice. I could smell the cigar smoke inside the room.

"So Alpha Blake, you know once Rachel and I mate and mark."

"I will take over this pack, and you can get rid of Sarah once and for all, and Rachel will be mine," Silas said as my Father cackled.

I covered my mouth with my hand as my Mother shook her head. I saw tears in her eyes as my Father spoke.

"I never wanted Sarah."

"I just wanted to be the Alpha of her pack."

"After her Father retired. But when Sarah got pregnant with Rachel and didn't deliver my son."

"That's when my affairs started. My bloodline would've sufficed with a son."

"The omegas are just as useless as Sarah."

"I have a witch friend who gave me some potions so Sarah doesn't feel my infidelity," my Father laughs as Silas joins him.

"I may need the name of your witch supplier."

"I have a few unmated she-wolves in my pack I plan on having after I mark Rachel," Silas cackles.

I had heard enough. I tap my Mother's shoulder as I watch her cry silently, and we walk back to my room. I close the door.

"I can't fucking believe him!" my Mother shouts.

"That fucking Silas is a real piece of shit."

"I knew your Father was having affairs, but with the omegas," Mom growled. She ran her fingers through her hair as she paced my room.

"We need to leave now," she turns and looks at me.

"Where will we go?" I asked her as she looked at me.

"Blue Eclipse," I look at her wide-eyed.

"Mom, we can't."

"I know Ace is mad at me and probably won't accept me back," I said as she shook her head.

"Was it a full rejection?" she asked.

"I didn't use his full name because I didn't know it."

"But I felt the rejection pain, and our bond snapped," I said as my Mother sighed.

"That's because your bond is partially broken. On his side, and yours is intact," my Mom said as my eyes widened.

I sighed, grabbed my iPhone, and turned it on. Mom was listening out my bedroom door for Dad or Silas. I saw her body stiffen and knew she was getting a mind link, but from whom?

I dialed Chloe's number as the line rang a few times.

"Please pick up," I thought.

"Rachel?" Chloe's voice filled my ears.

"Hi, Chloe," I said, happy to hear her voice.

"What's wrong?" Chloe asked after a long pause.

I sighed as I heard shouting in the background and recognized one of the voices as Ace's. I knew then he was explaining what happened between us to his parents. I heard a bone-chilling growl and knew that it was his Father.

"Sorry," Chloe said as the noise faded.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"No, Chloe. I'm not," I said.

"What did Silas do now?" she asked as my eyes widened.

"How did you know it was about Silas?" I asked her.

"Rachel, there are many things I know about Silas, that you are blind, too," Chloe said as I gasped.

Chloe told me everything about Silas that I didn't know about, and I recently found out that he had been cheating on me with Chloe's cousin, Laura, and Roger's girlfriend, Jennifer. Everyone was right. Silas is a piece of shit.

"So, are you going to tell me why you called?" Chloe asked, and I sighed.

"Silas was just using me, Chloe."

"He only wants me to increase his pack and take over as Alpha," I said as she sighed.

"He also hit me and tried to rape me," I heard Chloe growl.

"HE DID WHAT?!" she shouted.

I cringed. Maybe I should have told her all this in person.

"Are you by Ace?" I asked her as she calmed down.

"Hold on," she said as I heard movement.

"Who is that?" I heard Ace's voice and Chloe talking to him. I heard him growl and take the phone.

"Rachel," his tone was icy.

"Ace, hi," I said and heard him huff.

"We are past the pleasantries. What the hell do you want?" I heard him growl, and I knew Chloe had probably smacked him.

"Ace, I need your help, please," he laughed as my heart started aching. Just hearing his voice had my stomach filling with butterflies.

"Oh, now you need me. What's wrong?"

"Things aren't working out with your promised boyfriend," he growled as tears stained my cheeks.

"Ace, I'm sorry, I am...I just," he growled.

"Save your tears, Rachel. I didn't do anything wrong to deserve what you..." I yelled and pulled my hair.

"Ace shut up and listen," he growled but stayed quiet. I told him everything that had happened since I left Blue Eclipse.

"HE DID WHAT?!" Ace snarled as I sniffled.

"Why haven't you called me sooner? I would've..." I sniffled.

"I was afraid, Ace. I hurt you and..." I started saying as he sighed.

"Yes, I am angry, Rachel, but my stubborn wolf still wants you for some reason," he said.

"Because our bond is partially broken," I said, and I heard Ace take a sharp breath.

"We are coming to get you and your Mother."

"Alpha Miles's pack is closer, so go there and stay hidden, okay?"

"I will call him and let you know you are on the way," he said.

"Okay, and Ace," I called his name.

"Yes?" he replied.

"Thank you," I said as I hung up the phone and turned to my Mother.

"We are leaving right now," I told her, and she nodded.
